George H.W. Bush Says He Did Not Agree to Diplomatic Mission With Bill Clinton
Nope, wouldn’t be prudent.
Former President George H.W. Bush is taking issue with statements made by Bill Clinton Monday that the duo would embark on a mission of diplomacy around the world if his wife is elected president.
Clinton reportedly made the statements in South Carolina, saying he and Bush would spread the message that “America is open for business and cooperation again,” implying that the former president would need to swoop in to repair diplomatic damage wrought by his son.

But George H.W. Bush’s Chief of Staff Jean Becker released a statement Tuesday saying he and Clinton have made no such plans - even though the two have grown close through charity work since their 1992 presidential election match up.
“Former President Bush wholeheartedly supports the president of the United States, including his foreign policy. He has never discussed an ‘around -the-world mission’ with either former President Bill Clinton or Sen. Clinton, nor does he think such a mission is warranted since he is proud of the role America continues to play around the world as the beacon of home for freedom and democracy,” Becker said. “President Bush is excited about several of the excellent Republican candidates running for President, and looks forward to supporting their candidacy once the Republican nominee is determined.”
Clinton’s comments were just his latest candid assessment of Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
In an interview with Charlie Rose on PBS Friday, Clinton played down expectations for his wife’s performance in the Iowa caucuses, saying it is a “miracle” she even has a chance in that state.
He also criticized rival Barack Obama as being too inexperienced to run for president and said voters would be taking a risk with him in the White House.

Bill Clinton is a master politician. His untrue comments were not inflammatory and therefore won’t be perceived as negative in any way, yet they force W’s people to respond so as not to allow the perception that they are conceding the next election to Hillary. Someone, I believe Huckabee, has said that our presidents must be people who see the office as greater than they are. Can anyone see that kind of spirit in the likes of Bill Clinton, Al Gore, John F. Kerry, and now, Hillary? These people are so full of themselves it’s scary. Biggest egos in politics.
Clinton lie? Never! Define the word “embark”.
I think what Bill means by “Open for Business again” is that the rooms in the White House will be up for rent again and you can buy a judge or two to get your favorite felon out of jail.
I think America has had enough of Bill’s “Bidness”.
::::::::::::::::::::
Get in now! Early bidding on White House furniture starts the week after Bill returns from his mission of Business America!
The nerve! To assume George H.W. Bush would go on an around the world trip with “Billy Boy” to fix the world at large. George W. Bush will someday be recognized as a great President who has made difficult, hard decisions to keep us safe and has tried to begin the process of bringing peace to the Mid-East. The only thing that Clinton will be remembered for, is all the bimbos he fooled around with and the disgrace that he brought to the Presidency. Let’s hope this next election, the people wise up and see the Clintons for what they really stand for - devious, liars, cheats and experts at cover up.
Obama!? He is nothing but SMOKE AND MIRRORS!!!!
Looks like what is isn’t again. He can lie to a grand jury why not lie and make up things to the American people again.Bill will say anything anytime anywhere based on what is good for the Clintons. Maybe he should go to England and appologize for protesting against America in a foreign country. That really helps our image.Say it aint so Bill!
Clinton is as delusional as ever, thinking that the world needs either him or his wife to fix anything, as they did more to damage the reputation of the United States than anyone in recent history. I do agree, however, that Obama lacks the necessary experience to be president. But so does Hillary, having never served in an executive role and managing to bungle everything she’s done. Both candidates are extremely weak.
Thank God GHWB has the guts to call a Clinton on a mis-spoken word! You go George!
Bill Clinton and his tricks, trying to please the voters with whichever way possible, thinking that voters are dumb. This should be headline, how many more false statements is this country going to digest from the clintons? It’s time for OBAMA. OBAMA 08!
If Hillary is elected we can count on another major Clinton embarrassment. How do you see her naming him (Bill) as ambassador to some foreign country or to the UN. I can only imagine what a fiasco that would be.
The Clintons will say ANYTHING to get elected, whether it is true or not….and it is generally not true.
