George H.W. Bush Says He Did Not Agree to Diplomatic Mission With Bill Clinton

Border

Nope, wouldn’t be prudent.

Former President George H.W. Bush is taking issue with statements made by Bill Clinton Monday that the duo would embark on a mission of diplomacy around the world if his wife is elected president.

Clinton reportedly made the statements in South Carolina, saying he and Bush would spread the message that “America is open for business and cooperation again,” implying that the former president would need to swoop in to repair diplomatic damage wrought by his son.

But George H.W. Bush’s Chief of Staff Jean Becker released a statement Tuesday saying he and Clinton have made no such plans - even though the two have grown close through charity work since their 1992 presidential election match up.

“Former President Bush wholeheartedly supports the president of the United States, including his foreign policy. He has never discussed an ‘around -the-world mission’ with either former President Bill Clinton or Sen. Clinton, nor does he think such a mission is warranted since he is proud of the role America continues to play around the world as the beacon of home for freedom and democracy,” Becker said. “President Bush is excited about several of the excellent Republican candidates running for President, and looks forward to supporting their candidacy once the Republican nominee is determined.”

Clinton’s comments were just his latest candid assessment of Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

In an interview with Charlie Rose on PBS Friday, Clinton played down expectations for his wife’s performance in the Iowa caucuses, saying it is a “miracle” she even has a chance in that state.

He also criticized rival Barack Obama as being too inexperienced to run for president and said voters would be taking a risk with him in the White House.

To all Bush haters and anti war liberals:

Put a democrat in office and God help this country. The weak foreign policies and troop withdrawls will put a bigger target on America.

Bush is keeping us safe and McCain is only one who continue that. Worried about the economy? Another terrorist attack will hurt worse that anything else.

Bush lied, okay. Bush has too much power, maybe. He is keeping us safe. Would you rather have more privacy or more terrorist attacks. Whatever Bush has done has worked. Democrats are so easily swayed by their peers. Use your own mind, Libs.

The thouht of a Clinton in the White House is depressing. Brit Hume once said how charming he is — “Brit put your glasses on. I see a dirty gray haired old man. Never did think he was good looking or charming ( mouth always a gape). Way to go George HW tell it like it is.

Am I living in the same country as BK and Linda Santaguido or AllTexas? Where have you people been during the Bush/Clinton/Bush administrations? And, you still want another Clinton? It is hard to believe there are people as stupid as you that are allowed to walk around but I guess stupid isn’t against the law. Most of us nearly starved to death under Clinton. Yeah, I made descent money but he took it all. I waited until 4/15 to file taxes every year. Mine are already filed this year. I am just amazed at the number of people who actually believe what they hear with the media we have today. And, the best fictionally comment was how INSPIRATIONAL Obama is. Who in their right mind would want the President of the United States of America to be named Hussein (or however you spell it) particularly during a time when we are at war and have been attacked and many murdered by the Osama, Obama crowd. Wake up and believe in a good conspiracy theory.

William J. Clinton needs to keep his mouth shut from this point forward, I feel it would be advantageous to his spouse’s election chances and he should really get out. He’s constantly shoving his foot down his throat. He must really love the taste of leather- weird guy.

Ya know it is interesting to think that we as a Nation Under God have given up our rights to proclaim the same. As we continue to take our eyes off of God and remove him from our foundations, our Nation will continue to crumble in the name of freedom of speach. As we continue to turn our backs on God, the One who made this nation great, we will continue to slide down the slippery slope of corruption, selfishness, protectionism, and become like many of the nations existing on this earth. Demented and lost in our sin.

If we continue to turn our backs on God, He will let us die in our sin. We will continue down the path of moral degredation and decay and will no longer be the light of this world. The light to every nation that strives for good, decency and a beacon of hope for thoes oppressed.

So why do we go to another country to stop a mad man who genesides his own people? Why do we care what he does to his own people? We have no business telling another country, another dictator how to run his nation. Let him kill his own people, torture them and threaten other countries with his insanity. Why should we be the police of the world? Why should we stand up for what is right? Why should we protect the helpless where ever they are? Why should we care? Because the Lord has bestowed upon us great wealth, wisdome and prosperity. Along with great power come great responsibility. We have been blessed with much and much is required of us. There is no other nation on this planet that is as blest as the US of A and if we failed to maintain the truth, compassion, belief in absolutes, right from wrong, there will be nothing left of this world for anyone to recognize.

*************** Along with much power much is required **********************

Again we see the real issue with Bill Clinton. His inability to tell the truth to the american public. Most people have forgotten he was Impeached and shown to be an unfaithful and untrustful historian of fact. He seems to have problems with being accurate in his speach and shows to be willing to do anything to ensure at least another 4-8yrs in the whitehouse. After all, who is really the one that will run the whitehouse.

We already had 8yrs of Mr. Bill and why would we want another thrashing of the american people. Wasn’t 8 yrs enough already. I think most any president would be better than to have Bill back in the house again.

We did go the first time to protect Saudi Arabia. That was our orders to hold the advancement. Latter the world decided to go into Kuwait and eject Iraq out. We agreed on a cease fire and Sadam said he would list his WMDs and dispose of them under UN supervision. After 11 years GB jr decided to eliminate loose ends starting with the weakest of the “the axsis of evils” and the UN agreed if Sadam did not comply with the cease fire agreement the UN under US leadership would follow up on a war 11 years on pause. To say it is a bad move to invade Iraq is debatable but unarguably it is justified. The US acted on a “search warrant” granted by the UN. The weapons we searched for were the ones Sadam admitted to having but never fully accounted for them under UN supervision. If we would not have gone into Iraq the same war would be fought in Afghanistan. The terrorist will attack our interest where ever they can. Iraq has bogged both US and Alkada and now we seam to be fairing better that the terrorist.

GW is not the best president but things are relatively well considering all the turmoil in the world. Most people just have a hate tread for things that make them feel bad without any real evidence or justification for the position they take. It could be argued that WW2 was a mistake. We were not attacked by Germany but yet that is were our focus was. The world lost 20 million people and no one can count the injured but even most piece lovers consider that a justifiable war. It can be argued that through submission more lives would have been saved. We lost 86k in just one campaign (battle of the bulge).

People should use their hatred energy in a more positive manor instead of demonizing the symbols opposite of their ideology. GW mostly gets slammed for things he cannot control and never the credit from his opponents when he takes their own ideas one-ups them. People look to the 90’s as a great time of piece and prosperity but they forget the 3 wars the US was engaged in under President Clinton and give him credit for a great 8 years but no one can name a policy he or the democrats enacted to cause our so called prosperity period. That is a policy that came from left of center.

I don’t see how Hillary has any mopre experience to run tthis country than Obama does. I don’t think either one are qualified. I all for giving people a chance to prove themselves, but no twhen it comes to running this country and besides , noone can get anything doen with all the bickering that goes on in Congress. Instead of working together they do an eye for eye attitude, and then nothing is done. Maybe they could hall stay and do their job and we can see what they do instead of missing their votes and telling us what they do but don’t. I think she only be allowed a few months of campaigning.
