George H.W. Bush Says He Did Not Agree to Diplomatic Mission With Bill Clinton

Nope, wouldn’t be prudent.

Former President George H.W. Bush is taking issue with statements made by Bill Clinton Monday that the duo would embark on a mission of diplomacy around the world if his wife is elected president.

Clinton reportedly made the statements in South Carolina, saying he and Bush would spread the message that “America is open for business and cooperation again,” implying that the former president would need to swoop in to repair diplomatic damage wrought by his son.

But George H.W. Bush’s Chief of Staff Jean Becker released a statement Tuesday saying he and Clinton have made no such plans - even though the two have grown close through charity work since their 1992 presidential election match up.

“Former President Bush wholeheartedly supports the president of the United States, including his foreign policy. He has never discussed an ‘around -the-world mission’ with either former President Bill Clinton or Sen. Clinton, nor does he think such a mission is warranted since he is proud of the role America continues to play around the world as the beacon of home for freedom and democracy,” Becker said. “President Bush is excited about several of the excellent Republican candidates running for President, and looks forward to supporting their candidacy once the Republican nominee is determined.”

Clinton’s comments were just his latest candid assessment of Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

In an interview with Charlie Rose on PBS Friday, Clinton played down expectations for his wife’s performance in the Iowa caucuses, saying it is a “miracle” she even has a chance in that state.

He also criticized rival Barack Obama as being too inexperienced to run for president and said voters would be taking a risk with him in the White House.

Former President Clinton said Obama is inexperience to be President. If I remember correctly they said the same thing about him. He was only a Governor and became President, Obama is a Senator. In my book the Senator is closer to the action than a Governor. Former President Clinton need to look back in the mirror before making such statements.

from Carol:

“Bush made history–a father and son being Presidents. They want to out do that and make history.”

Clearly you haven’t heard of John Adams and John Quincy Adams, the second and sixth presidents of this great nation. Sad. And here I thought liberals were the uneducated, lazy, name-calling ones.

It sickens me that so many in our country are quite obviously news- and history-illiterate. Anyone who is truly knowledgeable of the Clinton’s public record would NEVER vote for Hillary Clinton. She is a deceitful, power-hungry tyrant who is willing to use or walk over anyone and everyone in an effort to fulfill her prideful dream.

I chuckle when someone says, “Look at what Bill Clinton did with the economy when he was president.” Folks, get a grip! It’s Congress, not the sitting president, that forges economic policies. And, it is often a few years down the road before we actually begin to experience the results of what they’ve done — good or bad.

We sorely need a president who has strong moral character. Regardless of what the atheists and the politically “correct” Nazis say, we need a man in office who has the intestinal fortitude to know and serve God. Our nation was built on freedom OF religion. Again, read your history books. Whenever a society has veered away from God, it has met extinction. We need someone with the inner strength that only God can give, rather than a servant to ever-changing polls like the Clintons.

And there are a lot of folks in America who need to wake up and smell the coffee when it comes to the Islamic threat. These Islamic militants want to see our way of life squashed. Unless we take it to them, there will be more USS Coles, more Somalias and more 9-11’s.

NO Hillary PLEASE - Aside from all the known baggage, Webster’s just got all the dictionaries straightened out with what the new definition of the word “is” is.

If Clinton gets elected as president, will we have a Hill-Billy combo in the whitehouse?

Bill Clinton won the 1992 election with only 43% of the popular vote. The other 57% voted for GW Bush Sr. or Ross Perot. Kinda wished the other 57% would have been the victor because our country got way too socialist during the 1990s and everybody and their uncle depends on the government to solve their problems and entitlement mentality. If we are in a war, I would much rather have a Republican president. We had hostages in Iran over 400 days in 1979 and helpless Jimmy Carter couldn’t get them freed. No sooner than Reagan delivered his inaugural speech, they released the hostages because they knew Reagan wouldn’t take *&^* off of anybody. We do need a president who will continue to support Israel. There should be a Palestinian state, but it should be in Jordan, not Israel, since the Palestinians are Jordanian refugees anyway. This wonderful country of ours, the USA was founded on the Judeo-Christian concept, and all our laws can be traced back to the 10 commandments. I am against Bush dividing up Jerusalem. That tiny little nation Israel is tough, and God will continue to help it win its wars because the Jews are God’s chosen people. By the way, I’m not a Jew, but I do support them. One more thing: trying to listen to a Democrat talk about Biblical things–I think you would have an easier time walking into Walmart and explaining to the greeter how the angular momentum of an electron works. lol

That man absolutely CANNOT tell the truth about anything. Mr. Clinton and his wife have built their lives around nothing but lies, trickery and deceit….and that’s being kind. If the American voters would only take some personal responsibility to “actually research” their backgrounds and how they have come to be where they are now, you would be absolutely repulsed. THERE ARE SOME GREAT AND FACTUAL BOOKS OUT THERE….don’t believe me, READ FOR YOURSELF.
I am embarrassed to think that this great nation was literally duped into voting for “Slick Willy”, Bill Clinton for president not once but TWICE. And now you want to elect the other half of that duo who doesn’t have any more morals or scruples than he does????!!! God forbid! The very idea of her in office makes my skin crawl and the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. Don’t kid yourself, Hilary Clinton is not going to bring anything good to this country. She is in this for self gratification and personal gain and power. Nothing good will come from putting her into office. Please….. Wake-up America before it’s too late.

According to you,……….. we should all stand around and watch as a robber or a gang or whoever else feels like it, takes everything you have and then beats your self absorbed little mind into a bloody pulp. We do this, because according to you, they are not bothering us, just you! What a concept.
