George H.W. Bush Says He Did Not Agree to Diplomatic Mission With Bill Clinton

Nope, wouldn’t be prudent.

Former President George H.W. Bush is taking issue with statements made by Bill Clinton Monday that the duo would embark on a mission of diplomacy around the world if his wife is elected president.

Clinton reportedly made the statements in South Carolina, saying he and Bush would spread the message that “America is open for business and cooperation again,” implying that the former president would need to swoop in to repair diplomatic damage wrought by his son.

But George H.W. Bush’s Chief of Staff Jean Becker released a statement Tuesday saying he and Clinton have made no such plans - even though the two have grown close through charity work since their 1992 presidential election match up.

“Former President Bush wholeheartedly supports the president of the United States, including his foreign policy. He has never discussed an ‘around -the-world mission’ with either former President Bill Clinton or Sen. Clinton, nor does he think such a mission is warranted since he is proud of the role America continues to play around the world as the beacon of home for freedom and democracy,” Becker said. “President Bush is excited about several of the excellent Republican candidates running for President, and looks forward to supporting their candidacy once the Republican nominee is determined.”

Clinton’s comments were just his latest candid assessment of Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

In an interview with Charlie Rose on PBS Friday, Clinton played down expectations for his wife’s performance in the Iowa caucuses, saying it is a “miracle” she even has a chance in that state.

He also criticized rival Barack Obama as being too inexperienced to run for president and said voters would be taking a risk with him in the White House.

Its kinda funny sitting here and reading all of these comments… You know Brian, I did vote for bush and I would vote for him again if was able to run but thats not how our great nation works… I am a CHRISTIAN and I do read my BIBLE and you know How a can anyone sit there and trash talk or sit there and scrutinize people… YOu know the 2nd greatest commandment found in Matt. 22:39 is that YOU SOULD LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF. If you can sit there and trash talk others, Then how can you love yourself… It also says in John 8:7 He who is without SIN cast the first stone… I honestly don’t see how you all can sit there and judge the president when you have NO IDEA HOW TUFF THAT JOB REALLY IS…. As far as Clinton goes, I really don’t believe he was the greatest President we have had… Someone who can lie to the american people and it not bother him… Atleast Bush has told the truth in everything he has done…. Might not agree with the way he has done some things but He’s not LIED ONCE…

So before you go and Trash Talk or Bad Mouth anyone you all need to sit back and figure out your own life…. GOD knows ITS NOT PERFECT….

How can anybodt say “amazed at his ability to pull people together ” about Obama?
The only thing he has done so far is to devide people.

He cannot, will not and should NOT be our President.

I am Amazed how easely the American people yet AGAIN are drawn inn on fake promises and empty speeches. Enough of bull crap already.

Demand actions - demand Hillary!

I agree with Duke the Clinton’s are not GOOD for nothing. If they are in any thing it’s a bad deal. Any one that will trust Hillary and Bill are way out of bounds. How did these two nuts get in our system?

People should be judged by their mistakes and their accomplishments.
That being said, and if true, why would anyone vote for a Clinton?

Gee Robert, I bet you go to church every Sunday and voted for Bush. Keep in mind he was re-elected by a large number. God Bless you Robert, read your (or a friends if you don’t own one) Bible.

You people are amazing. You will eat up whatever the press tells you and take it for fact. You will jump on whatever the latest “in-fashion slam wagon” is for the week. It seems the population of our country is more interested in judging people’s mistakes rather than their accomplishments. You will scrutinize a person’s life decision’s when you have absolutely no idea how you would react in a similar situation. We all know how we think we would act, but none of us know how we would act. For the same reason as was professed by the psychotherapist in the movie “Good Will Hunting”, we all have our opinions, we have all read our books, and we all have been told the right way to do things. However, unless you have experienced these things and lived all of the nuances first hand, do you really know anything? Life is not black-and-white, it is a zillion shades of gray.

You will chastize one person or another for a behavior, while taking a blind-eye to the exact same behavior of every other person in the news and Yes, in your personal life as well. There is not a person on this planet who has not lied. For those of you running around pretending to be conservative, Republican Christians, are you not the ones who espouse that we are all tainted by sin and so on and so forth and we should turn the other cheek to our brother and forgive and forget and blah blah blah. Oh that’s right, that only applies in lip service and not in practice.

Go ahead and vote for whoever you like, I personally don’t care they all have their strengths and faults and foibles. The funny thing is how you justify your irrational and hypocritical viewpoints of life without researching all viewpoints of the same issue. Everyone thought the President receiving oral sex was the greatest tragedy in the world, so they voted for an overly conservative President and realized…. “Hey, wait a minute, maybe reactionary opinion forming isn’t the greatest idea on the planet for choosing the leader of the free world.” But then, here we are ready for elections and old habits die-hard.

Good Luck America… you are going to need it since Common Sense has become a dying art form.
