George H.W. Bush Says He Did Not Agree to Diplomatic Mission With Bill Clinton
Nope, wouldn’t be prudent.
Former President George H.W. Bush is taking issue with statements made by Bill Clinton Monday that the duo would embark on a mission of diplomacy around the world if his wife is elected president.
Clinton reportedly made the statements in South Carolina, saying he and Bush would spread the message that “America is open for business and cooperation again,” implying that the former president would need to swoop in to repair diplomatic damage wrought by his son.

But George H.W. Bush’s Chief of Staff Jean Becker released a statement Tuesday saying he and Clinton have made no such plans - even though the two have grown close through charity work since their 1992 presidential election match up.
“Former President Bush wholeheartedly supports the president of the United States, including his foreign policy. He has never discussed an ‘around -the-world mission’ with either former President Bill Clinton or Sen. Clinton, nor does he think such a mission is warranted since he is proud of the role America continues to play around the world as the beacon of home for freedom and democracy,” Becker said. “President Bush is excited about several of the excellent Republican candidates running for President, and looks forward to supporting their candidacy once the Republican nominee is determined.”
Clinton’s comments were just his latest candid assessment of Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
In an interview with Charlie Rose on PBS Friday, Clinton played down expectations for his wife’s performance in the Iowa caucuses, saying it is a “miracle” she even has a chance in that state.
He also criticized rival Barack Obama as being too inexperienced to run for president and said voters would be taking a risk with him in the White House.

I took a moment to google Clinton and Scandals, and I was AMAZED at the wealth of information from a great deal of sources with regard to the Clinton regime…..and I was disappointed too. I was one of those young voters who voted for President Clinton for both terms, and was deeply disappointed by how his presidency ended with the scandals regarding his extramarital affairs IN the whitehouse at a precarious time in our history. Although, at the same time, I thought that we as a nation were spending far too much time crucifying the guy for having sex with someone other than his wife, still, it was not the most honorable time in our nation’s history.
With that being said, I think that those who support the current Clinton presidential candidate had really be very, very careful when wanting to trash Senator Obama on non-issues or try to link him to some sort of scandal that would disqualify him to be president. Although I am not a democrat or an Obama supporter, my reason for not voting for him is strictly on the issues, not his integrity or character which is refreshing at this time in our political history. Everyone wants to trash him for campaigning on the idea that we can be better and do better as a nation because of or in spite of certain ideological differences that may separate us…….this is someone who appears to be genuinely a servant leader and really wants to do something special for this country, or at least move us to being interested in pulling together as a nation, united for the greater good. Naive maybe, but what’s so wrong with that?
I am deeply disappointed with the Clinton dynasty which has helped to magnify the division and schisms that still linger in this country. I am even more disappointed in my fellow Americans who still can’t see past color, gender, religious preference and economic standing…..and think that wearing flag pins, putting your hand on your heart, or having a name that doesn’t sound Eurocentric disqualifies you as an American or true patriot. And, most of all, I am extremely disappointed with those who have so horribly misrepresented Christianity in mixing it with politics in a way that neither Christ, nor our founding fathers intended……
To Bob Zornes who criticizes FOX news proofreading…in journalism there is this thing called “quoting”. That is where a journalist or author writes down what someone says word for word even if it is badly spoken. The words in that sentence were between quotation marks; to have written anything other than what the former president said between those quotations would be mis-quoting. Do your homework on the English language before being so critical.
I would think today is the only day we have, so we should make the most of it. If we wait for the next leader to do anything, we may be waiting a long time. With the right advisor’s help, any of the presidential candidates probably could do alright in the oval office, but I am not expecting the winner to work any miracles.
What’s the matter with you people? We have had two families controlling this country for more than 20 years. The Billary show is another attempt for the family value candidate to give us more to laugh at if she should make it to the White House. Bush family thank God has no one left to put in so we are safe there. Enough already any change would be welcome!
Nice to know that the world is still full of red-necks!!
I knew you guys were out there, I just didn’t realize how many would crawl from under the rocks, until a black man decides to run for President. (Shame on All Of You!!)
The GOOD still will out weigh the BAD!! hence, Obama will still be on top when the smoke clears and the dust settles. We too shall know Victory.
I want Obama to win, but his color has nothing to do with my decision. And to think you are above anyone else, or superior to anyone else because you are white …. God Bless You! You need a whole lot of blessings.
That is simply your slave master mentality getting in the way of the Truth. Or don’t you even believe in the Constitution written by a white man??
The whole Clinton Campaign is based on lies and misrepresentation, because frankly, I don’t care who you are, you cannot take credit for your husband being President. That was him, not you.
The whole Campaign is bogus, and they are all dorks.
Bill who once tried to relate to black people to get their votes, basically disgraced them every chance he got, because his wife is running for President?
I guess they just like black people when it is convenient for them, or in their favor. And you want this dork to be President? FAT CHANCE
They will all see, when the truth comes out that the Clinton Campaign has been behind all the negative remarks in the media that she is as dirty as they come, stealing our words, and changing the truth when it benefits you, and she will still be a dork !! CLINTON’S FOR DORK ANYONE ????
Obama - YES WE CAN — We will still win, with integrity, and grace, and we won’t stoop to her low level of bitterness and whining when she doesn’t get her way - and Florida and Michigan broke the rules so no, you don’t get their vote either.
Now, Hillary was going to sue TX because we vote twice, her and her campaign whining about it.
Since she won, is she still going to sue? No, because you all give her what she wants because you don’t want to hear the dork whining anymore — Interesting.

So, as you said, I may not agree with everything Clinton did, but he was still the BEST President we’ve ever had.

LMFAO, that is the funniest thing I’ve ever heard. The Gipper blew Clinton out of the water. Before him it was Kennedy. You look at how he handled Civil Rights along with the Cuban Missile Crisis and say otherwise regardless of his own extra-marital affairs. Roosevelt, Lincoln, Washington. You say Clinton was better than them? You’re daft man.
Absolutely nuts that you still insist that Bush invented the WMD’s in Iraq. This information had been in circulation during the Clinton Era, and under the first Bush’s was in 1990, and rightfully so, the majority of both sides vote for the war. The threat of chemical weapons was very real, as were his dirty scuds. It wasn’t until after we were in Iraq, that it was determined that the WMD’s were gone, certainly not that they never existed, because if you did your homework or some memory exercises you’d remember that Saddam kept the UN Inspectors out of Iraq and kept shifting them from place to place, when he did allow them in, but they also found the empty bunkers. They were just for show, right? There was no question he used the chemicals on his own people which is why he was hanged! Does the name Chemical Ali mean anything?
Bush’s approval rating didn’t go down until it was determined that the idiots in Iraq couldn’t wipe their butts without help. It is going to take time, and no doubt you already knew that the casualties in Iraq are nearly non-existent compared to Viet Nam or the Korean War. Nearly 90 thousand American lives were lost, and why? It is interesting that no Bush-haters mention that at the cost of minor freedoms we haven’t been attacked since 9/11, and there were plots thwarted. I’m sorry, but I don’t care what the Dictator of Russia or the wusses of France think about the USA. We are still a free nation and truly a beacon of Democracy the world over.
The issues that need to be discussed are NAFTA, Immigration, Iraq, Iran, and Israel, the economy, anti-terrorism, health care, and the environment. I’m sure there are many more, but whether they found WMD’s should be your last concern, especially when you lack the knowledge to make a valid point about it.
The voters in primaries and caucauses are indicating that Bill and Hillary have worn out their welcome with the voting public. The public grew tired of the political strategeries, manipulations, triangulations and scandals of ten years ago and “wince” when they consider another term for Bill/Hillary. The White House was a “scandal pad” back then it would likely be a “scandal pad” again, we see indications of this in the way the Clinton’s are running “their” campaign.
The voters say that want change and they would get only change back from their paychecks with a Dem controlled Presidency and Congress.
Oh Please bryguy- get over yourself.
I respect the fact that you are reading the bible, but please understand there are some of us out here who does not believe in that crap.
Having said that, I agree we should not trash other people.
But, what I really wanted to comment on was the following: Bush has told the truth in everything he has done? Are you for real with this comment?
Who said on national TV there was WMD in Iraq? If that’s not a lie maybe you could tell the rest of us where they are ?
This might be a bit harsh, but the way I see it, everybody is talking about Clinton and Monica right?
Well, as least Clinton ONLY f…ed ONE person, and not the whole
country ..;-)))
So, as you said, I may not agree with everything Clinton did, but he was still the BEST President we’ve ever had.
I consider both democratic candidates not qualified for the position of President of the United States. As a registered Republican, I will support the party’s candidate as I feel the Republicans have a better view of governing this country, although not exactly happy with their selection of John McCain.
