George H.W. Bush Says He Did Not Agree to Diplomatic Mission With Bill Clinton
Nope, wouldn’t be prudent.
Former President George H.W. Bush is taking issue with statements made by Bill Clinton Monday that the duo would embark on a mission of diplomacy around the world if his wife is elected president.
Clinton reportedly made the statements in South Carolina, saying he and Bush would spread the message that “America is open for business and cooperation again,” implying that the former president would need to swoop in to repair diplomatic damage wrought by his son.

But George H.W. Bush’s Chief of Staff Jean Becker released a statement Tuesday saying he and Clinton have made no such plans - even though the two have grown close through charity work since their 1992 presidential election match up.
“Former President Bush wholeheartedly supports the president of the United States, including his foreign policy. He has never discussed an ‘around -the-world mission’ with either former President Bill Clinton or Sen. Clinton, nor does he think such a mission is warranted since he is proud of the role America continues to play around the world as the beacon of home for freedom and democracy,” Becker said. “President Bush is excited about several of the excellent Republican candidates running for President, and looks forward to supporting their candidacy once the Republican nominee is determined.”
Clinton’s comments were just his latest candid assessment of Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
In an interview with Charlie Rose on PBS Friday, Clinton played down expectations for his wife’s performance in the Iowa caucuses, saying it is a “miracle” she even has a chance in that state.
He also criticized rival Barack Obama as being too inexperienced to run for president and said voters would be taking a risk with him in the White House.

Hillary will do a better job on her own. While I fervantly pray she is NOT elected, at least you know exactly WHERE on the left side of the coin she stands. Bill never knew what he stood for until he read the daily opinion poll.
Eventhough I am a lifelong Republican, as all of those above apparently are as well, but I do think it would be a good move to go bi-partisan. We do need an uplift in the world after the tough time we’ve had in Iraq. Let the older politicians do their thing in a good way. Together, George HW and Bill would do well.
In the Clinton’s case, the WHITE HOUSE will be open for businees again… for coffees (fundraisers), Lincoln bedroom rentals (fundraisers), photo ops (fundraisers), and the list goes on and on.
Now THIS is funny!
It wasn’t so long ago that “ROCK the Vote” was the term used to displace the man with experience and put a newcomer to Washington politics in the White House. So here’s a campaign promise worth keeping… “DUMP the Old Rodham Guard, and ROCK the Vote for Obama!”
Billy-BOB, you still crack me up! Too inexperienced… Like YOU were?

Well said Jerry!
Bill just speaks as it appears in his head without any thought. He has taught Hillary this well. He trys to use the Presidents father as way of saying he “Bonds” with the Bushes. Plus Hill will never let Bill out of country. Funny how Bill is now telling Hill what she will do as President.
Someone has to call Bill on the fibs he’s out there telling voters! In his qwest to get back into OUR white house, he’ll do or say anything. He didn’t run for president “the first time” he could have run because there was a “bimbo eruption” in arkansas. Pres Geo GW Bush has called him on today’s fib…..why doesnt’ Bill just go home? he and Hillary are old news. Obama is the face of our future, no more Clinton fatigue.
George HW Bush has so much class and wisdom.
Unbelievable, but not really! Former president Clinton once again shows he has rocks in his head to make a statement like this! I don’t care how brilliant Mr. Clinton is perceived to be, to make such a statement shows his arrogance and desperation. GOD help us if he gets anywhere near Presidential power again.
The arrogance of these two people has no bounds. If we could buy them for what they have been worth to this country and sell them for what they think they are worth we could pay off the national debt tomorrow and get rid of them at the same time.
