George H.W. Bush Says He Did Not Agree to Diplomatic Mission With Bill Clinton
Nope, wouldn’t be prudent.
Former President George H.W. Bush is taking issue with statements made by Bill Clinton Monday that the duo would embark on a mission of diplomacy around the world if his wife is elected president.
Clinton reportedly made the statements in South Carolina, saying he and Bush would spread the message that “America is open for business and cooperation again,” implying that the former president would need to swoop in to repair diplomatic damage wrought by his son.

But George H.W. Bush’s Chief of Staff Jean Becker released a statement Tuesday saying he and Clinton have made no such plans - even though the two have grown close through charity work since their 1992 presidential election match up.
“Former President Bush wholeheartedly supports the president of the United States, including his foreign policy. He has never discussed an ‘around -the-world mission’ with either former President Bill Clinton or Sen. Clinton, nor does he think such a mission is warranted since he is proud of the role America continues to play around the world as the beacon of home for freedom and democracy,” Becker said. “President Bush is excited about several of the excellent Republican candidates running for President, and looks forward to supporting their candidacy once the Republican nominee is determined.”
Clinton’s comments were just his latest candid assessment of Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
In an interview with Charlie Rose on PBS Friday, Clinton played down expectations for his wife’s performance in the Iowa caucuses, saying it is a “miracle” she even has a chance in that state.
He also criticized rival Barack Obama as being too inexperienced to run for president and said voters would be taking a risk with him in the White House.

Former Pres. Clinton is rapdily losing whatever deposits he had in his account with his recent comments on this issue here and also that his wife is some kind of genius. What a laugh.
She isn’t as smart as I am and I am way below in intelligence than many around me. The ex- Pres. needs to go on vacation for a year out of country to give her a chance to win or lose on her own.
The American people have forgot that the good ol’ boy Bill was IMPEACHED. He is a liar, a cheater, and a womanizer. This marriage between Bill and Hillary was a political marriage and had nothing to do with love for one another. I am a democrat and I can tell you straight out, I would never vote for Hillary and I never voted for Bill. Hillary is the most ill equipped candidate the democrats have and that should be obvious if you know anything about politics.
If she takes lessons from Bill if elected, I would imagine the pages would be lining up.
Anytime I see the Clintons speaking on camera, their incincerity is so obvious it makes me sick to my stomach. They exlpoit the very same people they claim to represent. I sure hope the American people are not stupid enough to fall for their scam. Hopefully there won’t be enough idiot vote to elect her.
Typical Clinton. He care not about his relationship with 41, he will use that relationship to further his and his wife’s agenda. Disgraceful…which is also typical Clinton!
The Clintons will stop at nothing to get back into power, including slandering everyong around them. I see Hillary trying to get back to the White House and think about all the lying, police-state tactics, use of private investigators to gather dirt and wipe out her political opponents, abuse of power, Whitewater, Travelgate, and other scandals of the Clinton White House too numerous to mention. The thought of her at the helm is scary–very scary.
Before you cast your vote, please consider the following about the first Clinton co-presidency:
• The Clintons were more concerned about what they could get from the presidency instead of honoring their responsibilities to this country. At the end of their term they were multi-millionaires. Ever wonder how they got so wealthy?
• Think about how they sold our military secrets, how they exchanged pardons for Puerto Rican votes in New York, freeing some of the worst criminals just so Hillary could have what she thinks she is entitled to. Will our democracy survive another four years of them?
• Hillary loves to play the victim–of Bill, of the Republican vast right-wing conspiracy, of all the Bimbos who sleep with Bill, etc. Can a victim be an effective president?
• Hillary’s long-suffering marriage to Bill, enabling him to have numerous sexual trysts — not just a one-time dalliance with Monica — results in her sense of entitlement. Do we want a president who feels the job is rightfully hers just because she’s suffered through 35 years of marriage to Bill?
• Hillary claims to be tough enough to play with the boys when, in fact, she is unable to leave a cheating husband. How will she stand up to other men who walk all over her?
• Hillary attacks her opponents with lies and innuendo far more than she talks about how she would attempt to cure America’s ills. What is her plan…does she even have one?
• Hillary has no experience. Being married to a president does not make one qualified to be president. As a married woman, I cannot relate to a woman who stays in a sick marriage so she can capitalize on her husband’s success, then pretend she did it on her own. She gives no specifics about her experience. More dodging accountability.
• Fact: She’s held elected office for one Senate term and has introduced no major legislation during that time. Is this the kind of experience we want in the Oval Office?
Hillary is not what she pretends to be. She is spinning her image — the same tactics Bill used on an unsuspecting American people the first time around. We should be smarter than that now. Do we really want them in the White House again?
Cast your vote wisely in 2008.
I agree the Clintons are the most dis-honest of all the canditated put together. Hillary as president, hope not. Bill would be the one under the desk this time. Telling her what to say, she is a piece of work. You dont deserved anyones vote.
I don’t doubt that expresident Bush didn’t commit to expresident Clinton to take a goodwill tour with him, but everybody forgets that he is talking in the future, so who knows? What a politician, past or present says is meaningless because all of them lie for convenience or for their own aggrandizement.
Whoever becomes President in ‘08, certainly there is solid potential for George H. W. and slick Willy to do some charitable work together and display to the world some sort of united front as regards humanitarian crises and issues. But slick Willy tried to set George 41 a trap, to indirectly support his wife’s candidacy and simultaneously denigrate his own son’s performance as President. George H. responded like the wise and patient man he is and he, like us all, will see how things play out before he makes any committments to a George 41/ slick Willy humanitarian partnership. Hey Willy — that was a kindergarten tactic, and it backfired on you.
I have heard many people talk about how Clinton took us out of debt, but they never bother to say how.
It sure as hell was not by cutting pork barrel spending. During his tenure, non defense government spending nearly tripled.
To pay for all this, he cut the size of our armed forces drastically, reduced the funding for national defense research, and sold technology to other non-friendly world powers, such as China and North Korea. At the same time, he repealed most of the tax cuts that Reagan had installed, and our GDP growth rate dropped from a 4.8% annual when he came into power to just under a 3% annual when he left. Basically, he ruined our country. He stripped us of our ability to defend ourself, and snuck up on all the middle class workers and pick pocketed them while they were not looking.
And yet people say he was a good president, and then blamed Bush for the recession we were in when Clinton left office. Does no one remember all this anymore? Maybe if our armed forces had not been hogtied by the exiting aristocracy, we would have never had the terrorism problems we have now.
I won’t get into that now, but it is quite frustrating to see blind support for quite possibly the most devastating president, except for Carter, to ever run this country. And look who supports him. Need I say more?
heliry win 2008 beacuse she get from alla gift no any body can any thing
