Tom Tancredo to Drop Out of Presidential Race

Border

Republican presidential candidate Tom Tancredo plans to drop out of the race during an announcement Thursday afternoon in Des Moines, Iowa, GOP sources close to the campaign have told FOX News.

Tancredo, who has aggressively pushed his anti-illegal immigration message throughout the GOP primary race, has not been able to break through in the polls against his better known competitors. He and California Rep. Duncan Hunter typically poll in the single digits behind Texas Rep. Ron Paul in national surveys.

Tancredo would not personally confirm whether he will pull out of the race.

“I will neither confirm nor deny that report,” Tancredo told FOX News. But he  added, “I wouldn’t have a press conference if I didn’t have anything to say.”

The five-term Colorado representative already announced in late October that he would not seek reelection to the House of Representatives in 2008. He said at the time that his core issue of illegal immigration has been elevated to national prominence and that he doesn’t need to remain in Congress to promote it.

Tancredo aired a startling ad a month ago tying illegal immigration to terrorism. The ad showed a man in a hooded sweatshirt and backpack walking into a crowded shopping mall, with the sound of an explosion ringing out after the screen goes dark. The ad then showed bloody pictures of victims of terrorist acts in Europe, while the narrator said: “The price we pay for spineless politicians who refuse to defend our borders against those who come to kill.”

Tancredo focused on the issue at the Republican presidential debate a week ago in Iowa, saying immigration without assimilation is a “catastrophe.”

He also refused to participate in a Spanish-language debate on Univision in early December. He told FOX News he did not want to encourage immigrants in America to speak Spanish as their primary language.

FOX News’ Carl Cameron and Chad Pergram contributed to this report.

It is no wonder why most Asians voted for Clinton. The group of Asians that i know do speak English, so the press could not influence their vote.
Most middle-age Asians recognize the character of a person just by looking at them. Most Americans know too .
Most middle-age Asians recognize the character of a person just by looking at them. Most Americans know, too, but they have to show a lot outside before they can recognize. They can not see the hidden one (for example,in movies, in the beginning, everybody can infer who the villain is going to be at the end.
So far, i score the last four Presidents as almost 95% right.
Here is how i rate the current top candidates and their spouses for caring and compassion: Out of the ten:
Obama=2. Spouse=-8.
Mccain4. Spouse=3.
Clinton=8 Spouse=6.

Tancredo is the true face of the Republican Party. No one portrays the GOP in a more accurate light than Tancredo. What a psycho.

Has Obama given back Mrs. Revko’s money back yet and any other relatives? Also, have you looked into the $32 MIL he received in January? The Media has been giving this guy a FREE pass!

“I don’t know how he can call himself part of American culture when he is a complete liar.”

He was bad for the Party and the Nation, his stupid and outrageous remarks make him a serious loser, hope he never comes to play again in national politics.

Glad to see him go, he was for the party and America with his outrageous statements against Islam and Muslims. Anyone who’s willing to disrespect any religion is the not the kind of person who should be Leader of Free World.

You are the only one to address the illegal invasion and I wish you could have won

Its to bad about Tancredo because at least he made a stand with the border and I do believe he is right on that issue along with Ron Paul and our American language is American English.

Russia is right by the statement they made along time ago we will be devided and we will fall.
