Rudy Giuliani Veterans’ Co-Chairman Resigns Over Muslim Remarks

A co-chairman for Rudy Giuliani’s veterans’ coalition in New Hampshire resigned Saturday after telling a British newspaper that Muslims need to be chased “back to their caves.”

The response was swift after the GOP presidential candidate faced questions Friday night about the comments, made by John Deady during a video interview with the Guardian at a Giuliani house party in Manchester, N.H. Deady was named co-chairman of the New Hampshire Veterans for Rudy over the summer.

“Mr. Deady offered his resignation from his volunteer position in the campaign and I accepted his resignation,” Giuliani New Hampshire Chairman Wayne Semprini said in a  statement.

In the original Guardian interview, Deady said Giuliani is the best candidate to handle “one of the most difficult problems in current history” — “the rise of the Muslims.”

He added: “We need to keep the feet to the fire and keep pressing these people until we defeat or chase them back to their caves or, in other words, get rid of them.”

Later in an interview with the Talking Points Memo Web site, Deady confirmed he made the statements and said he was referring to all Muslims.

“I don’t subscribe to the principle that there are good Muslims and bad Muslims,” Deady said in the article. “They’re all Muslims.”

Giuliani’s campaign was quick to contain the damage in the final days before the Jan. 3 Iowa caucuses and Jan. 8 New Hampshire primary.

Similar fallout occurred recently in the Hillary Clinton camp when New Hampshire adviser Bill Shaheen warned in an article that Democratic rival Barack Obama’s admissions of past drug use could provide easy fodder for the GOP if he were the nominee. Shaheen resigned after making the comments.

He makes a very ture point about muslims and it is about time. I am tired of Americans bending over backwards to accomidate the muslims while they plot to islam-a-cize American and create Sharia law in our country. The UK is now realizing their mistake in alloqing the muslim population to flourish in their country. Muslims are refered to as Islamo-Nazi’s which is so true as their goal is world domination of thei intolerant and perverse religion of hate and death. Just look at their prophet Mohammed who was a warrior, killer, rapist, and pedophile.

There is very good reasoning behind the centuries of killing Muslims. These ignorant goat herders, most with the IQ of a walnut, rally behind any cause that enables them to kill, maim and slaughter anyone not acquainted with the goat crap between their toes and on their best dresses.
I say, Elect Hillary. Let America find out what a true liberal mindset will do for our war on terror. Did someone say Chamberlain? How about England trusting a total fool and accepting Chamberlain’s perspective, only to find out he and his cronies had been duped?
“Stand By” America, this terrorist threats have only just begun.

I agree with Mr Deady……right on. Now…..if we only had a candidate who would stand up and say the same thing……… That is the man……….The one we should all vote for.

What whimps we have now days……….

Mr. Deady was dead right about the Muslim problem. They have no place in the civilized world. The contrast between Muslims and other other religions is clear and undeniable. They teach, live, and practice hatred of everyone else, carrying out their beliefs by inhuman barbarism. “Political correctness” is wasted on them; they expect to receive the benefits of it, while simultaneously attempting to destroy civilization. I’d vote for the candidate who has the courage to speak the obvious truth. Mr. Guliani should support Mr. Deady, not accept his resignation.

I’m thankful SOMEONE SAID THE TRUTH. It’s a reality, & if we don’t start standing up against animals who want to torture or kill a woman because of a dern Teddy Bear, then we are lost. They aren’t afraid of using our freedom of speech rights.. but we sure are!

WOW, I am deeply saddened by the comments on here. t is obvious that the comments made about Muslims was inspired by hate and should be dealt with immediately, but the response is just sickening. How many people out there actually know anything about Islam. Obviously not many but that doesn’t mean it should inspire hate. Should other people want to kill all Christians because there were a few priests that were pedophiles, and obviously not following Catholic doctrine.
Islam is a beautiful religion, that I personally don’t believe in, but I don’t hate the believers.
People please think before you speak and please learn some tolerance. It is just painful to see what people think.

Think on this for a while, should Mitt Romney win the nomination social conservatives will not vote for him. As you may have figured out we have some serious problems where he is concerned. Oh, by the way we won`t vote for Rudy either. For many years we have been the backbone of the party but do not try to force feed candidates down our throats that stand for everything we are against. The nomination of either of these two men will result in the election of a democrat, then so be it.

Thr moderate muslim population of the USA isn’t speaking up or shouting out against the radicals are they? I watch HOURS of news everyday, read lots of blogs, and search internet news sites.{ I don”t work} I have seen only a handful of muslims speaking out against the radicals. What else are we to believe. They should be speaking out in groups, and shouting out to the rooftops their message of peace. I for one haven’t heard it. They are lying in wait, whilst the political correctness of american media is strangling the truth. The demise of America is upon us!

Couldn’t agree more with what’s wrong about speaking the truth! Unfortunately our humanitarian views no longer work in today’s world. The age old problem of politics and religion being mixed has created a new problem here but people are not quick to move to a new understanding of the problems. We must defend our heritage and belief system. We are not a county that need to be politically correct…we need to be true Americans.

This is exactly what everyone’s thinking. Gives me pause about Guiliani that he’d let this guy leave. I don’t believe all Muslims are terrorists, but until their ‘leaders’ start speaking up and marching against terrorism all over the world instead of encouraging their fighting us tooth and nail to diminish us and buoy themselves up, we’re doomed. Sorry, Mr. Deady…I hope you get a job in the State Department or CIA.
