So let me get this straight….the Bush tax cuts have been chided by virtually every Democrat and liberal for the past 7 years because we couldn’t “pay for them” and have seen the deficit increase. But it is now acceptable for Mr. Obama to put out an election-year scheme with a similar outcome because he does it under the guise of helping middle and lower income families? I heard Obama speak in Los Angeles, when he came here to support Angelides in his run against Schwarzenegger and while he may have charm, he came across as a snake that would say anything for his party or to get elected. Our whole income ,retirement and SS is under $36,000 and $250 wouldn’t make a bit of difference. It’s time people took resposibility for thier own lives, and stop depending on the government. This is why we need someone from business that knows how to run it successfully. Want to slow or eliminate a recession, we need business atmosphere that will create jobs now. There is no way to throw money at irresponsible people and fix an economy. Fix the business to create more jobs, better jobs, increase pay, and help people learn to manage money and think responsibly.

Stop bailouts. If CFC and other financial institutions want to loan money to people that can’t pay, let them go out of business. Propping up poor business models only weakens the economy. Let the weak fall and the remaining will be stronger and allow new business to enter the market.

Well, a plan like this was tried somewhat before. President Bush did it shortly after his getting into ofice the first time, and it did work. It was $300 for individuals and $600 for couples. Worked good then, seems Obama sees that President Bush’s plan the first time worked and he’d like to copy it. I don’t knock him for this, but, he obviously is intelligent enough to see that he shouldn’t re-invent the wheel either. However, I notice he’s hitting the middle class. Which is fine, but, what he does have to understand that the rich are the ones that contribute most of the money into the economy. If you overly tax the rich, they will likely be spending less. Remember when Congress forced the first President Bush to do this? Overly tax the rich in the very early 1990’s? Many middle class workers lost their jobs as a result of the luxary tax because rich folks stopped buying expensive boats. Wow, the Democrats seemed to really know how to help out the middle class then huh? If they go after the rich again, and I were rich, I would close every factory I had over here and ship it all out of the country for cheap labor. I’d then take whatever wealth the government was allowing me to have left and put it in a foreign country where the tax rate is cheaper, or, where the U.S. government couldn’t touch it. Imagine all the trillions of capital that will be lost? Imagine the effect on the economy! Libs gotta learn, perhaps the hard way again, if you overly tax the rich, it’s going to hit the middle class and lower class. You’re not gonna help them by going after the rich.

All of this will be a net payout, when all he has to do is cut taxes, which will stimulate the economy and raise tax revenues, a net inflow not outflow. You can complain about the state of the economy, but most of us can’t even budget or food allowence every month. You want change start at home, then teach your neighbors. In his Iowa ‘victory’ speech, Obama said he was going to raise taxes on corporations. So, more corporations will lay off more workers to come up with the cash to pay Obama’s new taxes. Then Obama will send all those laid off workers $250. I’m sure they will thank him for his generosity as they read the want ads.

It all sounds great and dandy on paper. But really who is going to pay for such a plan. Didn’t Bush do the same thing? $250 won’t do much for a middle class family who has a $1500 mortgage, $800 in car payments, plus utilities. In addition to the $5000 in car insurance, homeowners insurance and property taxes on an annual basis, it’s a drop in the bucket.

That sounds crazy, the economy is not going to be stimilated by giving $250 or even $500 to the low income, middle income and to the elderly. Although I am for helping others it sounds like this plan is just to give people some money to spend. It is not enough to stimulate the economy. Im actually hoping that Obama and Clinton will try to out do each other with this mortgage crisis. That way, I can stop paying my mortgage and get all of you[whoops, i mean, the GOVERNMENT] to pay it for me. Is that what the American Way is now? I think this incredibly short-sighted and irresponsible waste of taxpayer money is second only to Hillary’s $5000 baby-bond idea. “Deficit” means we don’t have the money to pay for it in the treasury. That means the governement needs to print an extra $75 billion to $120 billion and “inject” it into the economy by sending it out to their (largely undefined) target audience of low and middle class people. Well, what happens when a currency is diluted like that? It is worth less, and the value of the dollar declines that much more. This is not economic stimulus, it is economic sabotage. Most of Obama’s ideas are questionable at best, but this one really takes the cake. It’s really too bad. He would make a charasmatic leader otherwise.

Next he will be asking the compassionate servent Hugo Chavez to give out gas cards for votes.

This is a big handout. It beginning now. Watch your wallet my fellow hardworking Americans. It is a trick to get the votes of the low and middle income citizens who comprises majority of the voters.
