Nevada Spanish-Language Ad Irks Clinton Campaign
A union supporting Barack Obama is running a Spanish-language radio ad that slams Hillary Clinton over the Nevada lawsuit to bar the so-called “casino caucuses.”
A federal judge ruled Wednesday that the at-large caucuses to be held in nine hotels along the Las Vegas strip is permissible since internal party decisions are not under the court’s jurisdiction. Both the Nevada Democratic Party and Democratic National Committee last year signed off on the plan to give hotel employees the opportunity to go vote Saturday while they are at work.
A translation of the negative ad by labor group Unite Here says:
“Hillary Clinton does not respect our people. Hillary Clinton supporters went to court to prevent working people to vote this Saturday — that is an embarrassment.
“Hillary Clinton supporters want to prevent people from voting in their workplace on Saturday. This is unforgivable. Hillary Clinton is shameless. Hillary Clinton should not allow her friends to attack our people’s right to vote this Saturday. This is unforgivable; there’s no respect
“Sen. Obama is defending our right to vote. Sen. Obama wants our votes. He respects our votes, our community, and our people.”
The Clinton campaign is none too happy about the ad, particularly as the Clintons have repeatedly stated they had nothing to do with the lawsuit filed by the Nevada teachers union, whose leadership is tied to the Clinton camp.
Clinton campaign spokesman Phil Singer accused the Obama campaign of hypocrisy for attacking labor-backed ads in Iowa “but in Nevada, he’s looking the other way as they falsely attack his opponents.”
“Senator Obama apparently has no problem with groups running ads as long as they attack others. While that’s audacious, its certainly not hopeful,” Singer said.
On a conference call with reporters Wednesday, Hispanic labor leader and Clinton supporter Dolores Huerta called the ad “pathetic, and it’s sad and unfortunate that they have to stoop so low.”
Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton responded that it’s not the campaign’s ad, and “if the Clinton campaign has questions, they should contact the union that sponsored the ad.”
He goes on to say that “it takes some chutzpah” for the Clinton campaign to complain since it has been “repeatedly launching absolutely false attacks against Senator Obama. … The fact is their camp clearly would like to have workers’ voices silenced and they need to live with that unfortunate position.”
Both of these candidates should be ashamed of themselves, they are no better than children throwing mud at eachother on a sunday morning before church to see who will get in the most trouble for being dirty. Shame on them both.

Black & Red were here before the Spanish & the British. We were murdered, raped, enslaved & almost extinct but from the ashes we will rise. how would we have known that the umemployment rates can be lowered if we didnt vote for Bill. That was a try we gave to me. I am voting for Obama because i believe he also needs a chance to show what he gat to offer to the american people and i believe he’ll do wonders. Way to go obama. You inspire me. Obama uses rhetoric to manipulate us but once you dig a little, it is clear he is just like every other politician.

i find it very amusing that a certain group of people in this country (mexicans) are so upset that the sons and daughters of the very people that established this country over 200 yrs ago.want to stand up and preserve what was originally founded by our forefathers.take a look at MEXICAN immagration laws. they do not allow outsiders to have an opinion on what goes on in their country. I RESPECT THAT. you should at least respect what we native born americans want here. out of respect you would never see me waving an american flag in protest (or for any other reason) on mexican soil. the fact is before i go to my favorite fishng hole in loreto,bcs. i have to get my paper work ready my mexican license. it works both way’s.( by the way .it would be against the law for me to wave an american flag in protest in mexico.)check MEXICAN LAW’s for imagration. are law’s should be treated no different.
I see Barack Obama as our new president he is an example of the american dream,how a human being could accomplish many obstacles as long as he has a dream and makes it real.
I am a 4th generation Inca by blood came here to States when I was 8 went to school in Boston where I grew up in the middle of racial discrimination just when I tought by comming here I was out of that.Back home Spaniards would treat indiginous people the same way.Well the world has evolved from those bad times I’am a proud American Citizen I would love to see America back on its feet taking charge of the world in many areas.We need to get economy
back by calling back all company overseas to come back give them incentive to manufacture here in US.when I was a child we were proud to wear clothes or have thing that said

Now everything is from China ect. nothing against world trade.but we need jobs here.On Immigration should give those people a Temp residency if they have a job and have good conduct have them pay a higher tax to support Social Security because they say by the time i retire we wont have funds from SSI they would give the additional boost to economy.They are more than 14million betwen hispanics, Asians,Irish,and many more i met.
Also I know many people want to come legal way but after they make you wait and wait and take all your money the Embasy declines your petition to come to US so then they take challenge to cross the border.The American Indian has been fithing Immigration for 2 century

Who cares whats in a name– Hillary stop the smear tactics– Can you not win on your own merits? Remember what Bill & Hillary did to anyone that opposes them–Smear tactics are starting as she panics, hopefully we will not fall for her low life tactics.
