McCain Claims Victory in Louisiana GOP Caucuses

John McCain appears to have won the Louisiana GOP caucuses, which were held Tuesday to select delegates to the state convention.

Louisiana’s primary is Feb. 9, but more than 10,000 Republican voters in the state attended the caucuses Tuesday to select delegates to the state convention, which is held to elect nearly all the state’s delegates to the national convention, being held this year in Minneapolis-St. Paul.

Preliminary results showed McCain won more of the 105 state convention delegates than any other candidate — most of the elected delegates actually ran on a statewide “pro-life uncommitted slate,” according to the state GOP, but McCain claimed the most delegates for a named candidate.

The Louisiana GOP did not release final numbers, but reported that Texas Rep. Ron Paul came in second and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney came in third.

The Arizona senator’s camp claimed victory as a sign of his growing momentum following his win in South Carolina Saturday.

“Last night’s results go to show that John McCain is the best hope of conservatives here in Louisiana and across the country … John McCain is quickly emerging as the consensus candidate in the Republican race and the only conservative who can win this November,” said McCain’s Louisiana chairman, former Gov. Buddy Roemer.

The results are preliminary because about 500 caucus-goers not initially shown to be registered Republicans were issued provisional ballots. Once their eligibility is confirmed, their votes will be added to the final tally. Also, some delegate candidates ran on more than one slate, making it difficult to determine the final numbers.

I can’t wait to see the new results after the votes are counted again. I bet Ron Paul wins and I bet Foxnews won’t even mention it. I can’t believe that a “Conservative” network isn’t backing the only real Republican running. Ron Paul is the most Conservative person out of the all the GOPs. The rest of the candidates are a bunch of neo-cons.

So, on my last post, I bragged on Fox for being more up-to-date than CNN. Why don’t you prove my point by updating this story? Change the whole “McCain Victory” story with the real story…the Louisiana Caucus results are up in the air until the provisional ballots are counted.

Fair and Balanced, right?

Given the overwhelming evidence of officially sanctioned fraud in the Louisiana Republican caucus, the only way we are going to know the truth about who won is through a lawsuit that will FORCE all the concealed records out into the light. And such a lawsuit will need to be appealed beyond the Louisiana Supreme Court because there can be no confidence that those justices are not a part of the whole rotten Louisiana power structure.

Hopefully someday soon we will be able to pick and choose the cable channels we want to pay for.

Many of the garbage channels will go under when we dump them. Fox is going to be one of them if they continue to play their games with the democratic election process.

Ron Paul is the best presidential candidate this country has ever seen. Fox and the other MSM think they can keep most of the people from hearing the truth about Ron Paul.

We have until November to get the truth to the voters and we will win, with or without Fox.

It is amazing that a candidate who is being blacked out by the mainstream media placed 2nd in the Nevada primary and the Louisiana caucuses.

Just think what may have happened if he were given equal coverage that the other candidates received. This media blackout has raised many questions about the credibility of the mainstream media.

Will we need an armed revolution to take our country back from the corruption that controls our government and the media? If so then lets do it!

Why don’t report on what’s really going on in LA? The irregularities with Ron Paul delegates being signed up and declared, but still having to fill out “provisional ballots” which have not been counted yet?

I will no longer watch fox im done with your lack of honest news reporting.

Sometimes, an outsiders perspective can be helpful. (Hope mine is, though I don’t expect it to be printed.) It’s an gross understatement to say that the media blackout is unprincipled. So why has it happened you (should) ask? Clearly, the people who own/run the public media have a stake in making sure that the U.S. stays militarily mired in the Middle East. They will take no chances that someone will be elected that will refuse to invade Iran, Syria, Pakistan…. Why is this any of my business as a Canadian? Our well-being, politically and financially is closely tied to America’s well-being. It breaks our hearts to see where you’re going (and dragging us with you). Do the world a favour and get back to the democratic principles that made you a great nation. Screw the media moguls and their private interests, vote for democracy. Vote for Ron Paul.

The Louisiana GOP is only giving out delegates NAMES, not even what CANDIDATE they voted for!!! The Louisiana GOP is a JOKE! It’s obviously controlled by a bunch of manipulators who are confident they can get away with openly and brazenly cheating Ron Paul out of his legitimately achieved first place win, and the delegates that go along with it.

THEY KNOW what the votes were, otherwise how could they be reporting that McCain “appears” to have won the most of any candidate and that Paul came in a “close second?” So what is their excuse for withholding that information from the American public? Whoever has the power to conceal this information, and is using it to throw an election, should be prosecuted for vote tampering.

And furthermore, how long could it take to verify the simple facts about which of the 500 “provisional” delegates were “properly qualified” by virtue of having registered before the November 30th deadline? There is no excuse for the results not having been finalized TWO DAYS AGO.

It is the LAGOP that is not “properly qualified” - to run an honest election. All this nitpicking about exactly what day a delegate was registered Republican, and yet THEY can change the rules at the last minute to allow non-RP delegates to vote TWICE, while using NOVEMBER 1ST rolls to determine a November 30th qualification! This whole caucus stinks to high heaven, as does the media’s refusal to investigate and report on such an egregiously un-American attempt to subvert a Presidential election.
