Rambo v. Walker, Texas Ranger: Stallone Backs McCain Against Norris’ Huckabee

Talk about tough opponents.
After Mike Huckabee enlisted action star Chuck Norris to watch his back on the rough-and-tumble campaign trail, John McCain is tag-teaming with Rocky himself.
Sylvester Stallone told FOX News that he’s supporting the Arizona senator for the 2008 presidential nomination — McCain, a former Vietnam POW, is the real Rambo, Stallone seemed to reason.
“I like McCain a lot,” Stallone said in an interview that aired Thursday. “Things may change along the way, but there’s something about matching the character with the script, and right now the script is being written and reality is pretty brutal and hard edge and like a rough action film, you need somebody who’s been in that to deal with it.”
So who’s badder?
Though both tough-guy surrogates may be better suited for a cage match than a press gaggle, Norris has blended into civilian society, standing tall with Huckabee at rallies and accompanying him in post-debate “spin rooms” to set the media straight about what they just saw.
Stallone apparently has not been recruited for any campaign appearances … yet.
The Texas Ranger’s campaign ad with Huckabee late last year did wonders for the former Arkansas governor’s Web site traffic, with lines like “My plan to secure the border … Chuck Norris” and “There’s no chin behind Chuck Norris’ beard. Only another fist.”

Stallone/McCain versus Norris/Huckabee could the ultimate ultimate fighting contest of this election year. McCain, alerted to the surprise Stallone endorsement, said as a result, he’s prepared for the next brutal round on the campaign trail.
“I’m going to Philadelphia and run up the steps … I’m ready,” he told FOX News.
Campaigning later in West Palm Beach, McCain told reporters, jokingly: “Look out Chuck Norris, Sylvester’s comin’ after you. He’s comin’ after you and he’s going to get you. You better run! Chuck, you can run but you can’t hide!”

Ron Paul in 08. It is the economy, stupid. Fix monetary policy and stabilize the economy. Huck nor McCain will ever get it. Ron Paul is the only candidate who hasn’t hid from his positions. When everyone was on the invade Iraq bandwagon, Dr Paul advised against it. No one listened and look where we are now. John McCain’s cliches and platitudes will not work in November. He calls it “leadership”, in reality it is political suicide. No one can accuse Paul of pandering to polls, he was against the war before the polls were!!
If you want another Clinton administration then nominate McCain or Romney. Paul’s supporters will not vote for them. We will no longer accept the lesser of two evils.
If you want to stop Hillary, vote Ron Paul. We are going “all in”, when you see no difference between McCain and Hillary it is easy to understand why.
Questioning Dr Paul about party loyalty is absurd, he is the only one true to Republican ideals.
Paul in 08…or face the reality of another Clinton era.
Actually I have a better idea.
McCain as President
Huckabee as Vice President
Not sure where Chuck Norris should go, considering the media wouldn’t like it if Chuck came into the Capital Building demanding that no more earmarks would be added to bills.
Also it gives Huckabee time to gain experience for if McCain manages to go 8 years in office (and he might if you consider that his mother is still alive at 95 and walks around without any assistive device). Also there is the fact that McCain doesn’t do things the easy way, he could have taken money from lobbyists rather than take them on, it would have been less work. However, McCain didn’t do that, instead he made it his mission to try to eliminate earmarks.
Also people need to realize the comments about Norris and Stalone are probably not entirely serious.
I am just glad to see that there are atleast two Hollywood actors on the Republican side. I am sure there are more but God forbid they come out of the closet as they would be burned at the stake by all the other Hollywood librals!!
Romney demonstrated last night why he is the best qualified to beat whatever socialist the “Democrats” throw into the ring.
People keep on throwing good ole’ Ronald Reagan’s name into these debates. Let us remember one of his best quotes, which is the Eleventh Commandment: Thou shalt not criticize other Republicans.
Maybe, according to the NY Times, the reason why Romney is the most disliked by all the other candidates is because he actually might be the best.
The fact either of these two candidates is relying an action star to promote themselves is ridiculous. Huckabee’s use of Norris is especially insulting to Americans. Who is he appealing to? By putting Norris so prominently in his campaign he’s essentially saying that he thinks Americans are dumb enough to be persuaded by someone who only ACTS like a character we all admire. Give us a break.
Let the coward get in the ring with walker. And that will show who is real and who is fake.
I’m thinking Walker and his candidate are the real McCOY.
Give me a flippin’ break people, this is not the movies, it’s REAL LIFE!
Get your head out of your you know where and act like intelligent Americans.
Just because Chuck Norris and Sylvester Stallone are behind a candidate, SO WHAT, who gives a care. What possible credability could or should they have on anything that really matters to this nation. GEEEEEZZZZZ!!!! A familiar face gives NO CREDABILITY to ANYTHING, it’s the record that counts.
VOTE for a man with INTEGRITY, Mitt Romney. He has a proven record, no need to fight against his religion, we are free here, remember. We have the freedom to choose our own religion. So do you, I don’t condemn you for it!
Hello Toby. I would like to get in on the action! I agree with you about Mr. Huckabee. He is the only person that is truly abiding by TRUE MORALES. Mr. Romney’s religion is FAR from being like the Christian’s. His is WAY-OUT—they do no believe in the SAME JESUS as we the Christian
does—just ask the Mormons. They do not believe in the Holy Spirit or the TRINITY OF GOD. They are totally not like the REAL Christians. I jus tdon’t want people to be fooled that if you cast a vote for Mr. Romney, you will be voting for a Christian man. We mudt get the Word out, and be real—the devil is very cunning. Understand what time is, it is the last days, we must wake up and take a real stand for TRUTH!
Love you all, God bless you.
Stallone has been washed up for years. Instead of shooting himself full of HGH and pretending to still be a viable action movie actor, he should retire and sit around a pool in Florida sipping Mai Tais….
We’re essentially supposed to be trying to find someone qualified to take over as CEO when the current one leaves. We have documented requirements for the position. The position has both well defined responsibilities, and limits on power. Should we be waiting breathlessly to see what the applicants have in store for us, or should we be judging how well they might fill the requirements and fit into OUR plan?
