Rambo v. Walker, Texas Ranger: Stallone Backs McCain Against Norris’ Huckabee

Talk about tough opponents.
After Mike Huckabee enlisted action star Chuck Norris to watch his back on the rough-and-tumble campaign trail, John McCain is tag-teaming with Rocky himself.
Sylvester Stallone told FOX News that he’s supporting the Arizona senator for the 2008 presidential nomination — McCain, a former Vietnam POW, is the real Rambo, Stallone seemed to reason.
“I like McCain a lot,” Stallone said in an interview that aired Thursday. “Things may change along the way, but there’s something about matching the character with the script, and right now the script is being written and reality is pretty brutal and hard edge and like a rough action film, you need somebody who’s been in that to deal with it.”
So who’s badder?
Though both tough-guy surrogates may be better suited for a cage match than a press gaggle, Norris has blended into civilian society, standing tall with Huckabee at rallies and accompanying him in post-debate “spin rooms” to set the media straight about what they just saw.
Stallone apparently has not been recruited for any campaign appearances … yet.
The Texas Ranger’s campaign ad with Huckabee late last year did wonders for the former Arkansas governor’s Web site traffic, with lines like “My plan to secure the border … Chuck Norris” and “There’s no chin behind Chuck Norris’ beard. Only another fist.”

Stallone/McCain versus Norris/Huckabee could the ultimate ultimate fighting contest of this election year. McCain, alerted to the surprise Stallone endorsement, said as a result, he’s prepared for the next brutal round on the campaign trail.
“I’m going to Philadelphia and run up the steps … I’m ready,” he told FOX News.
Campaigning later in West Palm Beach, McCain told reporters, jokingly: “Look out Chuck Norris, Sylvester’s comin’ after you. He’s comin’ after you and he’s going to get you. You better run! Chuck, you can run but you can’t hide!”

In selecting your Presidential candidate, please reflect on the dire consequences of a docile retreat before a relatively small band of Islamic extremists; and, attempt to formulate your own opinion as to the most prudent course of action in the defense of our Nation. It might assist to consider the following scenario: the infiltration of a group of terrorists similar to the Atta cabal with a quantity of weaponized anthrax procured from a rogue state; the acquisition of a single crop-duster aircraft fitted with a dry-agent disseminator; and, the dispersal of that dangerous toxin over an American population center. The loss of American life would be catastrophic. -Or-, is it preferable to pre-empt such fanatics by destroying them on their home turf, such as Afghanistan and Iraq, before they secure the capacity to threaten our homeland? The latter is in fact a key element in current American strategy. Is it advisable to support any candidate who would reverse course and sacrifice the impressive gains against Islamofacists that young Americans have shed their precious blood to achieve? The fact that we have not experienced another 9/11 is not a by-chance occurrence. Further, it’s critical to appreciate the pivotal role that our own border security plays in our “war against terrorism”, keeping in mind that “Amnesty” is anathema to border security. A Nation without enforceable borders will not long survive as a Nation. Mitt Romney is exceedingly strong on each of these principles.

wow sylvester stalone, chuck norris. i bet they are both being paid. if i were to vote for a candidate based on ANYONES endorsement i would consider myself a complete idiot. get the facts for yourself then vote the facts. OMG humans are stupid.
With the simple but brilliant proposal to use the stimulus package money to widen Route 95 instead of making China its beneficiary, Mike Huckabee said more in one sentence than was contained in all of Mitt Romney’s long-winded, vacuous utterances all evening. If the media, who only know how to suck up to the fat cats, keep going, Romney will win the nomination, and the Republicans will lose any hope of retaining the White House this fall.
What is it with the Republican party? Is the key endorsement for each candidate now seen to be a macho action movie guy? Chuck Norris, Sly Stallone, then you have Govenors Terminator and “The Body” Ventura. What’s next? President Hogan? Secretary Rock? Our country has become a comic book written by a mentally retarded child.
I still say let your coward in the ring with Norris. And the same for the other fake hero.
Who cares? Really? Who really says “So and So endorsed him so that’s who I’m going to vote for!”
If an endorsement is the basis of your vote than I would venture to say you shouldn’t be voting!
Remember where Stallone sat out the war. He ran to Canada and refused to defend his country. Only to return after the war and portray himself as a war hero. What a disgrace for McCain to even speak to this cowarly traitor who was recently busted for striods in Austrlia.
This is news? It must be a slow news day for FoxNews.
I just saw a commercial from Fox about Hannity and Combs about the “Mccain train is pickup up speed”.
Yeah…. it’s lost its engines and is going backward! Quick Rambo to the rescue! LOL
Everyone needs to lighten up.
