Rambo v. Walker, Texas Ranger: Stallone Backs McCain Against Norris’ Huckabee

Talk about tough opponents.
After Mike Huckabee enlisted action star Chuck Norris to watch his back on the rough-and-tumble campaign trail, John McCain is tag-teaming with Rocky himself.
Sylvester Stallone told FOX News that he’s supporting the Arizona senator for the 2008 presidential nomination — McCain, a former Vietnam POW, is the real Rambo, Stallone seemed to reason.
“I like McCain a lot,” Stallone said in an interview that aired Thursday. “Things may change along the way, but there’s something about matching the character with the script, and right now the script is being written and reality is pretty brutal and hard edge and like a rough action film, you need somebody who’s been in that to deal with it.”
So who’s badder?
Though both tough-guy surrogates may be better suited for a cage match than a press gaggle, Norris has blended into civilian society, standing tall with Huckabee at rallies and accompanying him in post-debate “spin rooms” to set the media straight about what they just saw.
Stallone apparently has not been recruited for any campaign appearances … yet.
The Texas Ranger’s campaign ad with Huckabee late last year did wonders for the former Arkansas governor’s Web site traffic, with lines like “My plan to secure the border … Chuck Norris” and “There’s no chin behind Chuck Norris’ beard. Only another fist.”

Stallone/McCain versus Norris/Huckabee could the ultimate ultimate fighting contest of this election year. McCain, alerted to the surprise Stallone endorsement, said as a result, he’s prepared for the next brutal round on the campaign trail.
“I’m going to Philadelphia and run up the steps … I’m ready,” he told FOX News.
Campaigning later in West Palm Beach, McCain told reporters, jokingly: “Look out Chuck Norris, Sylvester’s comin’ after you. He’s comin’ after you and he’s going to get you. You better run! Chuck, you can run but you can’t hide!”

You go Rocky!!!! I think you are right Mc Cain is the real Rambo, he’s been there, done that and knows what our Troops are going through, and I beleive he will pick up where Bush is going to leave off and make our AMERICA better.
all the talk against bible believing candidates like huckabee, and bible believing norris’s indorsement of him, when the nation was founded on biblical principles. and what is wrong with running a biblical nation on biblical principles. what is wrong with the principles of influncing a nation’s people not to stealing, not to killing, not to bearing false wittness, not to comitting adultry, etc. it seams to me that with drug dealing, murder, and child porn running of the charts, the nation could stand a good dose of bible influence in law making and running of the country. the problem with some candidates of the pass is that they didn’t bring their bible beliefs into office with their politics.
I agree with Midwest conservative we are looking like the democrats and we must NEVER be like them! Nelson South Florida Conservative.
I agree with Midwest Conservative we are acting more like the democrats we must NEVER stoop so low! Nelson Rodriguez South Florida Conservative
Stallone never wore the uniform - except in movies. So, it really is silly to compare the two endorsements. I have the greatest respect for John McCain. Like Huckabee has said on numerous occasions, he is a real American hero. Maybe it’s my age, but, an endorsement from a draft dodger doesn’t impress me at all.
Given the 18% approval rating that 110th congress has earned, who ever is elected president will be dealing with a new, and probably split House and Senate. The new President will have to have great skills in getting along with both the majority and minority parties in the next congress. The only candidate that I see who has demonstrated these skills is John McCain. Now before you flamers beat this old guy over the head, think about it. Who has demonstrated this skill during his terms of office. You may not agree with the result, but John McCain has proven that he can work with the right and left sides of congress for the benefit us our country. I do not look at John McCain as a conservative or liberal, but rather as a realist. Forget age. 72 to is the age of wisdom and McCain does not have any serious health issues.
Huck chose Chuck cause they both support a traitorous assault on the Constitution in running the US with biblical principles instead of those silly secular guidlines given to us by our Founders.
Chuck’s “a bible in every classroom” crusade has paid off, especially if Huch appoints him Attorney General, or leader of Bush-established Office of Faith Based Initiatives, an un Constitutional giveaway of taxpayer dollars to churches.
Problem with Norris: he supports an assault on the Constitution by pushing a state religion based on the bible.
I like Mike Huckabee, he reminds me of Kevin Spacey. Think about it.
Ok, this is beyond ridiculous. Who cares if Stallone backs McCain. And I could care less if Chuck Norris supports Huckabee. This is turning into a circus and making us look like clowns. We are the Republican Party for heaven’s sake! We are looking more and more like the Dems every day. Man, I bet that Clinton and Obama camps are LOVING this diversion from the garbage that they spew on a daily basis. Nevermind that we are trying to elect the most important position in our country. Let’s all sit here and discuss something so stupid and trivial so that everyone forgets what it is that we are trying to do…Gee, now there’s a good idea — NOT! Seriously — let’s get back to the real issue at hand. Who do we want leading us into victory? Or are we really ready to just give it to the Dems? Endorcements from the plastic people in Hollywood are irrelevant…they are here simply to entertain and amuse us. Seriously Fox…is there nothing else on which you could report? Pretty pathetic!
