Rambo v. Walker, Texas Ranger: Stallone Backs McCain Against Norris’ Huckabee

Talk about tough opponents.
After Mike Huckabee enlisted action star Chuck Norris to watch his back on the rough-and-tumble campaign trail, John McCain is tag-teaming with Rocky himself.
Sylvester Stallone told FOX News that he’s supporting the Arizona senator for the 2008 presidential nomination — McCain, a former Vietnam POW, is the real Rambo, Stallone seemed to reason.
“I like McCain a lot,” Stallone said in an interview that aired Thursday. “Things may change along the way, but there’s something about matching the character with the script, and right now the script is being written and reality is pretty brutal and hard edge and like a rough action film, you need somebody who’s been in that to deal with it.”
So who’s badder?
Though both tough-guy surrogates may be better suited for a cage match than a press gaggle, Norris has blended into civilian society, standing tall with Huckabee at rallies and accompanying him in post-debate “spin rooms” to set the media straight about what they just saw.
Stallone apparently has not been recruited for any campaign appearances … yet.
The Texas Ranger’s campaign ad with Huckabee late last year did wonders for the former Arkansas governor’s Web site traffic, with lines like “My plan to secure the border … Chuck Norris” and “There’s no chin behind Chuck Norris’ beard. Only another fist.”

Stallone/McCain versus Norris/Huckabee could the ultimate ultimate fighting contest of this election year. McCain, alerted to the surprise Stallone endorsement, said as a result, he’s prepared for the next brutal round on the campaign trail.
“I’m going to Philadelphia and run up the steps … I’m ready,” he told FOX News.
Campaigning later in West Palm Beach, McCain told reporters, jokingly: “Look out Chuck Norris, Sylvester’s comin’ after you. He’s comin’ after you and he’s going to get you. You better run! Chuck, you can run but you can’t hide!”

I think that both candidates are using the movie “stars”as a come-on to the voters that like either of them. However, McCain was an the armed forces, he was shot down, he was held captive in the famous “Hanoi Hilton” but is he fit to be presiden? what about Huckabee? are they both prepare to lead this country out of the economic disaster we are facing? what is their solutioh for the “WAR” what is their relationship with the other countries? Not relay in what starts are behide the candidates, relay in common sense and most of all in their integrity and honesty
McCain has my vote as a fellow Military man I think he has tons of good ideas to keep us safe. Plus I just don’t trust Democrats.
Gee, what’s next? Comic book characters? Give me a break. Celebrity endorsements, while mildly amusing, do nothing for most voters. I pity the candidate who is DESPERATE enough for one of these guys to endorse him publicly! Hey, there’s an idea…anyone get Mr. T yet?
Hey now lets not pick on Rocky (he’s got a new movie coming out and it looks good). As for McCain his time has passed (he is the epitome of a Washington Insider and he will not win the nomination). John’s last debate appearance was a little too strange for me (I’m not sure if it was his sinister laugh or the horrible attempt at comedy that made me run for the hills. yikes!).
I think the Huckster’s appeal to guys like Chuck Norris plays well for the average American and frankly that is who will decide the election (not the pundits, fat cats, elites, or whatever you want to call them (I think the term they prefer is: “I am better than you”).
I know I left Rudy out, but Florida is his swan song (be nice to him, he’s a good guy).
I think Ron Paul has a shot at it if he could only persuade Hulk Hogan to support him.
I can see it all now (Vote Ron Paul 2008 the next American Gladiator).
In all fairness, unless Mitt does something real stupid (its possible) he is going to continue to rack up the delegates and continue to be the Front Runner. As for Mitt, I think its time for him to join the battle and pick an action hero (I am thinking Arnold (no girly man for Mitt))
WEll the Marriotts are backing Romney! Geez who cares what these monkies think??? Lets go ask the UFC fighters who they support. They are real life bad-A’s. Does Rambo even have a college degree?
ohn McCain is a robot! Look close at the micro bolts in his neck and the way he moves his arms! I wonder who is at the controls? “Reagan the Great” spins in his grave when McCain calls himself a foot soldier in the early days of the Reagan revolution! The choices we have for president are a direct reflection on what we as true conservatives deserve for letting the RINO’s steal our party! I’m willing to fight to get back the control of the ‘Grand Ole’ party. We need a John the Baptist or a John Paul II to lead us out of our complacency.
I find Norma Leah McCorvey (Jane Roe)’s endorsement of Ron Paul much more relevant, but that’s just me.
This is a load of bs! Just cause you got a celebraty as a supporter dosn’t make you a better candidate.
If either bad dude helps either McCain or Huckabee, that is sad, that America cares what actors say. Here is a sad fact: Stallone is a better actor then Norris.
Hmmm. Let’s see here. Stallon supporting a man who knows the consequences of warfare and consistently sticks to his beliefs VS Norris supporting a man who would like to amend the Constitution to enable a religious theocracy to take control of the nation.
Kick his ass, Sly.
