Mitt Romney was and is an American patriot and was the best choice for President. He stood up for the family and its values. He is a true American and was the only politician that I have trusted in a long time. I can't believe anyone would choose a man like John McCain over him.

I still plan on voting for Mitt. I just cannot forgive the other Republican candidates for their dirty tricks and insults during the campaign. I am of average intelligence but I am smart enough to know after watching 9 Republican debates that he was by far the best candidate running for President. Hopefully he will be back in 2012 or be chosen to run on a McCain-Romney ticket in 2008. I understand that I am throwing my vote away but since I live in Arizona I don't think it will make any difference.

We already miss you Mitt.

Sincerely,
JoAnne Smith

Mr Romney is the fiber of this country. he represents everything that i hope this country will be. strong, generous, truly free, equal and tolerant. I keep wondering at what point we as a country changed. I beleive it was the age of political correctness and " oh that will never effect me" era. I lose hope when i talk to generation X and they give me deer in the headlight looks when i talk about george washington, benjamin franklin, teddy roosavelt or the hardships of the depression, vietnam war or the Cold war. As for generation x. i wonder if they can truly see the clear picture. how can you know where your going if you don't know where you've been. we need real leadership. i hope I see more of Mitt in the future.

Was so sorry to hear Mitt was dropping out. He is the only candidate that would be able to get this country back on track. I do understand his reasons and I respect him for it. His speech was exactly how I feel about this county. He spoke the words of my heart. Thanks Mitt. I hope he does not give up and will be back in 2012.

Outstanding speech! Hit the nail on the head all around. I will vote for McCain, but it would have been Romney if McCain had dropped out.

Mitt,
You are one of the best public speakers I have ever listened to. When I watch you debate, and give speeches, and address the media, etc. I get goosebumps because I know that you are representing both The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as well as your family and yourself in a most decent and admirable way. I LOVE hearing your answers on the spot with clear, and detailed explanation, no "ums" or "you knows" or any stammering. Just clear and well thought out every time! The fact that you stuck your neck out and WILLINGLY took the stripes of this nation and its people and its media, knowing what it would be like, is commendable. I hope you continue to emulate brilliance both from your mind and from your countenance.

I hope that you can ignore all the venomous critics and maintain your positive and uplifting ability to rally Americans to have confidence in a better future.

Have you heard the saying, "Live so that those who know you, but don't know Him, will WANT to know Him, because they know YOU!"? That's an old one from my seminary days, but it totally reminds me of you because you are an example of this to the fullest.

Thank you for getting me so very interested in politics and giving us some hope. Good luck in your next pursuits. We love you!

Go Romeny! What a great example to us all.

Hopefully he will run in 2012. We have to rally around the best candidate. Any Dem will put us in a type of socialism - works good for a couple years then the country goes down the drain.

Now that I have taken a step back and got over Romney stepping down, I think McCain will have my vote. He is better than Hillary or Obama. That is just the truth. Maybe Bloomberg will run?

But McCain will only have my vote if Huckabee is out of the picture. His tactics and the tactics of his support groups (mainly ministers and preachers) is just too much. They print and make the most absurd comments. "Voting for Romney id voting for Satan” Huckabee knows it's going on, he probably privately endorses it. But he <b>sure doesn't stop it<b>

He should put a stop to this non-sense and hate. <b>But he doesn't because it is winning him votes.<b>

Really are you serious? I mean for real? Are we back to the Salem witch trail days? Are we going to throw Mormons in water and if the float or swim then they are "witches", but if they drown they weren't and oops our bad?

That's how they did it!

Shame on them. And the poor believers that follow the filth. Almost every Mormon I've met has been a stand up citizen. God-fearing and charitable. No one religion has a perfect membership; otherwise we would not need Christ. But the LDS faith has the nicest and most Christ like people I've met. I have seen they have been the first groups to help in Katrina, Indonesia, 9/11, and now recently the tornados.

We should praise these people and not slam them.

But hopefully in 2012 Romeny will come back and the USA can overcome some of its stupidity.

I'm an admitted Mitt Romney fan and Ill tell you this, the name is out there this time, People know who Mitt Romney is. This Election is historic because we have people in this election that we have never had before we have a Black man and a Woman, we have a mormon but there have been some mormons that have run for office before... With all of that, its tough for a virtually unknown Governor to garner the support needed to get as High as Mitt did in this process. Thing is though, now that people know who he is next term when he enters the race it will be with a bolstered and sustained front runner status all the way to the election.

Please see that this full speech be delivered and carefully by McCain. If I were to vote for him, he must understand the principals in this speech to be true. I am in such a quandry with my vote for president as I feel our country is facing some very difficult times as stated in this speech. I would like to get behind McCain, but not with the biggoted Huckabee as a running mate, and with a campaign that is not tainted with nasty things such as in West Virginia.

I hope that someday when we are at peace, a day when we can leave Iraqi peacefull and with a brighter future, when the rest of America will wake up and see exactly what Clinton and Obama are and stand for, that YOU Mitt will re-run for election for the president and change exactly what you have stated in you address. I am fearfull for what the future will hold for America.Hundreds of thousands of troops fought for in blood can all be destroyed by the hands of only a few absent minded selfish politicians who are only after power and not seeking for the wellfare of the people the are to serve.
What has happened to America the Beautiful? It has become the America the untolerant, the unequal. It will no longer be named the Home of the Brave but the home of the single parent families, the home of crime, poverty and faithlessness. It will change if we as a Nation do not raise together in one voice declare we are going to make America.... Beautiful.

I would have loved to vote for Mr. Romney but I live in Indiana. As you know, we have
been denied the right to vote in the Republican primary this year .

Thanks Mitt! We hope to see you again soon! You represent most of us who have posted here and many others of numerous walks of life and religeous persuasions, simply because you're the best man for the job!

It seems obvious that you would represent ALL of us in this country better than the others ever could.

Our country is seriously divided BY the Democrats who see no power in their future unless they discredit the Bush policies. We have two main ideologies. The focused, low tax supporting, freedom loving, strong defense supporting, ethics and values voters who don't want the government restricting the success of ANY of those things ....

AND the pompous, hateful, enemy success enabling, paycheck sharing / socialist leaning, proudly ignorant bumper sticker drivers who insult us and ridiculously think they are correct because TV is dominated by their people, who are historically louder and more arrogant and get more news coverage from the insufficient, half story "reporters" than we do! They condemn Bush and the war to try to make the Republicans and Conservatives retreat and fail, but when they gain power, their deceit is revealed. They're all talk and taxes and haven't really wanted that stupid withdrawl plan and the following repercussions enough to have their name on it throughout history. Their goal has been to get Bush to fail, not to lead the failure themselves. Retreat is Defeat. They know it. Their supporters just don't because they're being deceived.

When you just do what's right, it's to everyone's advantage. That's why Mitt Romney's leadership, talents and ideology would be best. Unfortunately, the primaries have moved faster than the country's knowledge of Mitt Romney has grown and we all know how that's turned out so far. It's obvious that support for him was build fast, but late in the contest.

His campain is "suspended". It's not completely and technically over, which just means that he still holds those delegates. I'm not sure how this all plays out, but he holds an increased influence by holding those delegates and by having our continued support. He didn't "quit on us". There is a bigger strategy at play here. I'm sure. We may not get to have things the way we want them right now, but I'm sure he knows the best way to fight on.

You have left so many people totally without anywhere to go....please understand that no matter what you say or do....we will not be voting for John McCain. We will all be changing from Rep. to Independents.

You simply must not feel the calling that you have, or how desperately we wish for you to fight and find a way to win. Grow some.....pull up your drawers and get back in this race where you belong. We all hate the primary/caucus mess....that leaves a few people to decide for all of us. And as for winner take all....considering the influence the press has on the polls....just slanting things one way pushes the polls and then the people. The people who turn out for a primary or caucus are just a tiny tiny part of the party. People were just about to jump on your bandstand....you quit short. If something doesn't work....fight for a way to change it and to make it work......giving up accomplishes nothing....we will not support mccain nor will we vote in the presidential election. No need to stand up with him and play like he is something that he is not.....it will only belittle you and there are people who won't care if it does. Politics are nowadays a nasty business....you have to fight....you have to show your enthusiasm. You need a PR person, someone to attend to your wardrobe and to the feeling you give off, even your haircuts. What a shame that the wonderful person you are can't simply be enough....that your intelligence, and your passion for our country and your experience can't get you to where you need to be. This is what we have come to. People are tired of the same old people....time after time. We need a new breath of fresh air to blow through the halls of the White House....what we need is YOU. Don't desert us...you will have only left us mccain and huckabee....and if you are honest you will know where that will lead. No amount ot speeches and media will make the troops of true conservatives vote for him. Please pray about this.

I find it LAUGHABLE to find anti-Romney and anti-Mormons on this website. This is a website dedicated to SUPPORTING Mitt Romney whether you are LDS or not! It's basically a way for us Romney supporters to get on our bandwagon and chat together and share our feelings. Don't worry, we can handle all you anti-Mormon and anti-Romney people, I just find it so laughable that you spend your quality time on THIS website to shout out your misery and bitterness towards us!

Go get on YOUR politician's bandwagon with your fellow supporters. It is SO hilarious to me that you spend your time on something you hate.

If I hate eating Seafood and it makes me sick, why would I choose to eat out at a seafood restaurant? Wouldn't it be much more enjoyable to eat something I loved, like Italian food? Why would I waste my time in misery?

Get the analogy?

In other words, please for the sake of making yourselves look completely idiotic, go find positive support w/ YOUR fellow supporters...why are you wasting your time here? No matter how hard to your TRY to make us look bad, you won't. People who say Mitt Romney is a horrible man are totally THREATENED by the good life he leads because they cannot live up to it or anywhere close to it.

Once again, it's so laughable!!!

I was not going to waste my time here again but... in the interest of being "fair and balanced"... since there are a lot of posts from LDS people preaching about their religion... here it is:

Get the mormons (lds) point of view at: mormon.org, lds.org, or josephsmith.net.

Then get the point of view of insiders who have been there and done that at:

<a href="http://www.exmormon.org/tract2.htm" title="WHAT THE MISSIONARIES WILL NOT TELL YOU
"> (http://www.exmormon.org/tract2.htm)

There... we report; you decide.

As for Mitt Romney... good riddance. No; not because he is a mormon... but because he is a hypocrite. If you haven't seen it no amount of persuasion, argument, or discussion will make you see it.

The guy quit. So now, quit your whining and either vote for someone else or don't vote. The majority of America (including republicans) rejected Mr. Romney. So, get over it.

Have fun!

P.S. America will do quite well without the "righteous" (as someone else described him here) Mr. Romney.

Instead of crying over the lack of a dogmaticly correct ultra right candidate, Republicans should rejoice that in McCain there is a person who is perceived as honest to a fault, center-right and palatable to enough to Democrats that despite the disastrous Bush presidency still brings the White House within reach.
