Play by Play: Obama Wins Votes One at a Time
CINCINNATI — Colleen Munninghoff challenged Sen. Barack Obama politely Monday to win her vote in next week’s Ohio primary. And he did.
“At the age of 50, I never thought I’d be back living paycheck to paycheck,” Munninghoff said at a campaign discussion the Democratic presidential contender held with a handful of women to stress his plans for making retirements more secure.
She was one of five women selected by campaign aides for the event, and after each had spoken, she popped the question.
“I understand the kids are getting on the Obama bandwagon,” she said, before saying this was the first time since she was 18 that she didn’t know which candidate to support.
“You should vote Democratic,” was his reply, after saying he had been doing pretty well “among more experienced voters” as well as younger ones.
Getting back to his challenge, Obama put in something of a good word for his Democratic rival, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
“Myself or Senator Clinton, we’re all concerned about creating a better social safety net. … The truth is the differences between my plans and Senator Clinton’s health plans are relatively modest,” he said.
Then he pivoted quickly into comparison mode.
He said the biggest difference was he didn’t think necessary change could be brought about unless “we can bring people together more effectively.”
He said it would be necessary to reach across the political aisle, and “I think I can do that better than Senator Clinton.”
Next, he said a lot of problems exist because of the “domination of the lobbyists and special interests. … That’s the reason I don’t take PAC money, I don’t take money from federally registered lobbyists.”
Obama said that was something “I take more seriously that Senator Clinton does,” adding that she accepts contributions from lobbyists.
Finally, he said, “I think we need a president who is going to be straight with the American people about how we are going to solve problems.”
Moments later the conversation ended, without Obama asking Munninghoff whether she had made up her mind.
Initially, she sounded like she wasn’t sure what to do.
But a few hours later, in a telephone interview, she said she intended to vote for him.
It’s not just one thing,” she said, or one question he answered.
Instead, she said she liked “the atmosphere, the aura, the honesty, the comfort I felt.”
that is what the devil do madam, presents all the goodness, niceness, kindness to get you. then what will be next. all the story behind obama in which the media dare not to bring out because the media does not want hillary clinton to be the nominee so they will get revenge from what the clintons did to them during their scandals.
by these somali customs even if it is only a picture, please think about it. maybe there are also truth about it. a muslim will be a muslim. obama speeches is like preaching, a muslim preaching.
hillary clinton is not perfect, but she has got american values to give to the american people.
Obamas messages are performed in a skilful way. His speaches are captivating. He is indeed talented.
The probleme is that many of his followers making comments on discussions in medias like CNN “The The Political Ticker” etc. behave themselves like “Hitlerjugend”.
I am not the man to tell if Obama is an manipulator or if his messages have substance or not - as a European I am more worried about his followers.

Whatever you think about Hillery - my opinion is that CNN shows an extremely poor judgement to allow a comment like the one above to get through. No European massmedia but neo-Nazi magazins would never ever have done that.
I have been advised by an American friend to watch Fox news instead of CNN since “the motto for Fox News is “”fair and balanced”".

I like OBAMA but he does’nt go far enough in detail with the issues when asked a major Question . I dont like the fact that he didn’t say or make clear that he ALSO has a mandate in his health care plan for parents until the last debate when HILLARY said he did . BUT KNOCKS HILLARYS PLAN…

Barack always struck me as a rather honest man, someone that I would love to see as President, even before he announced his campaign. I did worry that the Washington sharks would devour him along the way or obfuscate his message. It is clear that Barack’s message rings clear as a bell to all, especially after the Texas debates, where Hillary continued her negative and divisive attacks, and Barack took the high road..
