Obama’s Record Slim on Senate Foreign Relations Committee
WASHINGTON — Based on his Senate history, Barack Obama as president would likely push to expand human rights and reduce poverty abroad using cooperation rather than confrontation. If foreign events permit.
Aside from his vigorous opposition to the Iraq war, Obama spent more of his time on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on speeches and inspirational trips than on investigations and aggressive oversight. He was a junior senator with an agreeable manner who was just beginning to cut his teeth on foreign policy issues when he decided to run for president.
Since he took office in 2005, much of Obama’s work attracted little, if any, attention because of the nation’s focus on the Iraq war. Obama pushed through legislation that condemned violence by the Zimbabwe government, for example. He helped raise awareness about Darfur and called on the administration to do more to reduce global poverty.
When Obama took charge of the European affairs subcommittee in early 2007, he didn’t seize the opportunity to scrutinize the Bush administration. With his campaign in full swing, the busy senator did not lead a single policy hearing on any of the hot topics in the panel’s jurisdiction: missile defense, counterterrorism and concern over the waning commitment of European countries to NATO.
Obama’s aides say it’s not unusual for a Senate subcommittee to hold few hearings, with the majority of work being done by the full committee. They also defend Obama’s work on the committee as extremely successful.
Texas is about to make a huge mistake. It is sad that the media is being allowed to choose our next President. They have been very successful at drawing people in and convincing them that Senator Obama is God himself. Senator Obama’s campaign has become more and more cult-like, making promises of some big “change” that will come about if elected. Guess what, folks. America’s change won’t happen overnight. Simply put, we have too many issues, and it is shallow of anyone who supports Senator Obama and his rhetoric to assume that his inexperience will amount to the betterment of America and its citizens. The Obama movement really does show a lack of maturity among his supporters, as well as a lack of competience. Our government has already made enough mistakes in the last decade that have had lasting consequences, and now Texas (and possibly Ohio) will probably help to create new chaos in a once productive and well-respected nation.
Bob sounds like you need a hug from kelly or I. After reading most of these posts it seems as though the world is crumbling. My God we have three individuals to who want to run this great country. Yes the key word is “run”. They want to make your everyday life choices, tell you what is best for you and your family. I have my faith so my world won’t crumble, come November. Maybe you all should attend a few more sermons, homilies or whatever they call them now a days. Maybe just maybe you will get a clue come November and if not you will be arguing the same causes in 4 years!!

Some will be able to answer with sincerity and the others in sarcasm. The ones that answer in sarcasm are the ones that live in denial, but there is help for you. What it is I don’t know but it will come to you.
SO when all this is over and done with I will be able to look back and say, “I didn’t waste my time or anymore time on political issues/elections.” I have to answer to very few people in this world and they are as follows..God, Family and my WIFE.
a few things…Hillary, called schizo by some in the Obama-friendly media for switching the tone of her message, is, of course, anything but…but the Obamatized actually believe this…not surprizing when one considers that they`re also willing to believe the mis-truths of a literal newbie Sen…and even that`s an understatement…so far left, he`s a card-carrying member of the ACLU no doubt…in a recent election, this was used by the Repubs. to derail the Mike Dukakis bid for Pres…with this in mind, please consider that this guy is more ultra-liberal than even Mike Dukakis and makes Hillary look moderate.
but back to Hillary, if you need any proof of how they fooled the Obamatized, please also consider that these same media people calling her schizo are now calling her a , “Political Warrior”, to try to get you to watch the debate tonight being carried on their station…What!?…did i miss something?…when did she transform from being schizo to suddenlyly being a Political Warrior?…truth be known, what`s obvious to Hillary supporters is that she`s showing that she can be compassionate if she has to…tough/scolding/strong if she has to, etc…this is something that the next Pres. needs to be successful in the this dangerous world…Obama has shown no such abilities…just the same old, ‘change’, rhetoric over and over…and always preached in the same condescending tone…which may work to get young voters, etc., but won`t work with our enemies and it won`t work in Congress…and never has.
I stated earlier that terrorists, etc., would even believe in the kind of change Obama offers if elected…now Farrankan, who once stated that Hitler was a great man, has come out and endorsed Obama…i wonder what crack-pot`s gonna be next…i also wonder if he`ll be at the inauguration if he`s elected…same goes for Obama`s fellow church members…and any other such nuts who endorse him…
Obama will loose. Hillary supporters will not support Obama because of how she was treated by his campaign. Instead Hilary supporters will vote for McCain.

Are you Obama supporters proud of his church and minister, Jerriamah Wright that teaches a Black Value System? Are you proud that Obama has sat in that church and listened to Mr Wright for 20 years calling whites White Demons? Are you proud of Obamas relationship with William Ayers, one of the Weathermen who sat off bombs in the USA? Are you proud of his wife, whose speeches and writtings are racist and unAmerican? Are you proud of Obamas relationship with Chicagos slum lord Rezko, who left elderly and poor in housing in Chicago without heat? Are you proud that Obama wrote to state and city officials to get government supporting of millions to Rezko? Are you proud that he could never serve in the military because at one time he had a cocaine habit, yet although that would prevent him from serving our military, it would not prevent him from being President? Or are you just proud because he secertly makes fun of you by saying , there will be a light, you’ll follow that light and vote Obama? Please, tell us exactly why you are so proud of voting for Obama. I will vote Hillary or McCain, never Obama.
It’s usually a good idea to do some of the work first before trying to be boss. Obama is pathetically under-qualified.

I beleive we Americans missed the best opportunity to put forth an outstanding candidate in one, The Honorable, Mr. Joe Lieberman Senator from Connecticut.
If any one person can and will eventually unite this country, it would be Joe Lieberman.
He is, without a doubt, a Great Patriotic American, who sincerely loves this country.
