CAMPAIGN WIRE: Obama Says He Won’t Be Clinton’s VP

Border

(6:40 p.m. ET)

Responding to speculation about a joint ticket, Barack Obama says he will not play second fiddle to Hillary Clinton.

Obama told KTVQ in Billings, Mont., Friday: “You won’t see me as a vice presidential candidate.”

“I’m running for president,” he told the television station. “We have won twice as many states as Senator Clinton, and have a higher popular vote, and I think we can maintain our delegate count — but you know, what I’m really focused on right now, because all that stuff is premature, is winning this nomination and changing the country.”

Clinton herself has kept talk of a joint ticket alive, saying it’s a possibility.

Bill Clinton on Saturday (see below) even said the two Democrats would be an “unstoppable force” if they teamed up.

Actress in Clinton 3 a.m. Ad Is Obama Backer

(3:18 p.m. ET)

One of the sleeping children pictured in Hillary Clinton’s controversial “3 a.m.” ad has come out as a Barack Obama supporter.

Washington state resident Casey Knowles, 17, told KING5.com in Seattle that the Clinton ad used stock footage of her from eight years ago when she worked as a TV extra. And her family was shocked when they saw the ad for the first time Thursday.

“It’s really sort of ironic that my image would be used to advocate for Hillary when I myself do not,” Knowles told KING5.com.

Knowles said she is an Obama supporter who’s campaigned for him and even attended one of his rallies.

The Clinton ad showed several images of sleeping children, and then asked viewers who they wanted “answering the phone” in a crisis. The ad was widely credited with boosting her performance in the Texas primary.

The family does not own the footage, but Knowles said jokingly that she hopes Obama will get together with her to make a counter ad.

Bill Clinton Says Joint Ticket is ‘Unstoppable Force’

(12:44 p.m. ET)

Bill Clinton said Saturday in Mississippi that a joint ticket between his wife and Barack Obama would be an “unstoppable force.”

The former president is the latest Hillary Clinton backer to stoke speculation about the two rivals joining forces once the dust settles on their heated primary race.

“I know that she has always been open to it, because she believes that if you can unite the energy and the new people that he’s brought in and the people in these vast swaths of small-town and rural America that she’s carried overwhelmingly — if you had those two things together, she thinks it’d be hard to beat,” Clinton said at a town hall meeting in Pass Christian, Miss.

“But you look at most of these places — he would win the urban areas and the upscale voters, and she wins the traditional rural areas that we lost when President Reagan was president. If you put those two things together, you’d have an almost unstoppable force,” Clinton explained.

Hillary Clinton again raised the idea of a joint ticket Friday in Mississippi, saying “that might be possible some day.”

Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, a Clinton supporter, also says he’d support a Clinton-Obama ticket.

Obama has not ruled out the joint ticket idea, but says it’s premature to talk about those hypothetical scenarios.

Bill Clinton wants Obama’s votes so that the people will side with Hillary.
The Clintons will say anything to get a win…anything!

Comment by cheer

Bill Clinton will say anything everything to get the power. Of course, they’d be happy to get a VP ticket for Hillary so that he can stir her into the power and cut Obama to chops.

well, it would be interesting.

My main problem is that I am from Michigan and Sen Obama feels that my vote is worthless. What people do not seem to understand and the media refuses to explain is the the Democratic National Commitee (DNC) did not tell or pressure the candidates to remove their names from the Michigan ballot - they CHOSE to. Barack Obama made a conscious CHOICE to remove is name from the ballot by signing an affidavit. He turned his back on the voters of Michigan. Men and women, young and old, blacks, whites, hispanics, etc. Those very voters that he vowed to protect by comparing himself to Martin Luther King.

Another thing the media will not tell you is that Hillary Clinton CHOSE to leave her name on the ballot. She CHOSE to support the voters. From the first day it was announced that we would loose our delegates she has said that it was wrong. The media will tell you that she only just complained about the delegates because she needs them. That is not true.

Another thing the media tells us is that the caniddates agreed that the delegates would not count. That is not true either. They agreed not to campaign. The DNC has violated their own bylaws by punishing the voters and making their votes worthless. They have violated their own bylaws by refusing to seat the delegates. Read the bylaws at democrats.org - the DNC website. See if you can find anything anywhere that supports or authorizes the DNC throwing out votes and refusing to seat delegates as punishment for anything.

For this reason alone I cannot support Obama as my president. I cannot imagine a president who would not stand up to the DNC and tell then that every American vote had to count - no matter what. Especially when that candidate claims to be so like Martin Luther King.

I wish the media would tell the whole story the way it really is and stop playing games with it. The simple facts are that Obama turned his back on the voters of Michigan by CHOOSING to take his name off the ballot. Clinton supported the voters of Michigan by CHOOSING to keep her name on the ballot and the DNC has violated their own bylaws which do not provide for punishing voters with their votes or delegates.

The DNC needs to admit that they have violated their own bylaws and agenda and correct their mistake. The only just and correct solution is to seat the delegates and count the votes. Anything else is voter suppression.

I’d be more concerned about Obama’s safety if he gets a Clinton as VP.

That is an interesting point. It would make the race much more difficult for McCain. It’s better for Republicans with the Hillary Democrats and Obama Democrats split. But if they are united, under one ticket….how do you even attack that? Blast Hillary for being an insider? But McCain is too. Blast Obama for being young and inexperienced? But Hillary has expereince.

Hillary, is very smart, I personally would rather see her win without him. But if she cannot win without him then they join as long as she is the one on top “Clinton-Obama”…..Which would be smart on his behave because if he was vice president then in eight years (two terms of HRC) no one could say he was unexperenct then and he would be a sure win….but he would have to wait till 2017….(Barack would only be 55).

Comment by D.

If Obama wins he does not need the Clintons. The fairy tale book closes. And if they steal a win
OH NO! Bill will be ALL the cabinet member she needs. Some people are voting on that two for one ticket!
IF THEY STEAL THIS ELECTION WE WILL CHANGE MICHELLE’S MIND AND HE WILL BE BACK AS OUR PRESIDENT.

Comment by Scott

I would vote straight ticket Republican if Billary is anywhere on the ticket. After what they have said about Obama it would be a travesty! I can’t vote for her or any Clinton after Rwanda.

Comment by Patty, NJ

Sorry Deem1890….NO way in hell would we even want Obama as VP. He needs to be shipped back to where ever it is he came from ASAP!!!!

Comment by Deshawn

A joint ticket is a great idea….. as long as Obama is the lead on that ticket.

Comment by nick

Like the saying goes - if you can’t beat them, join them.

Comment by Tim

As a registered Democrat, there ain’t no way on God’s green Earth I’ll vote ANT ticket if Hillary is on it! She’s an evil woman, and has no right to taint the White House a second time.

Comment by rob

It would be great… Watching both of them crash. Keep on dreaming Dems….

Comment by Linda

All I can say is HEAVEN FORBID! It’s time to close the door on the Clintons forever and send them to the political graveyard!

Comment by Mike from Missouri

In my humble opinion, the ‘Clintons” are bullying Mr. Obama into accepting a second class position for their own lust for power. They and the Democratic Party have been doing this for decades to ensure leaving African Americans wanting and depending on their ’special’ kind of social purse strings. They can depend on their votes because they are the means for support.

Comment by Mandy30

What a pathetic little trick the Clintons are pulling. They really are trying to steal Obama’s votes. First of all, a “dream ticket” will never happen. Second, Obama would never want to be on the same team with the devil. People can see past these lies. This is one of a thousand reasons why I would never vote for the Billary team. They’re pathetic, evil liars. Fox News shouldn’t even be reporting this crap.

Comment by Wake Up!

She would like to steal your vote by putting in your head that if you vote for her you will also get Obama. More proof that she will say and do anything to get elected. How about the issues Hillary? Speak about them! Obama is the future!

Comment by emmy

ok that is the only way i will vote for him if Hillary is on the top of the ticket

Comment by Bert

It’s all hocus pocus. The unethical Clinton’s are greasing the path. Prior to the convention, they discreetly get the word out that the two sides are cooperating (which they are not). They mention a joint ticket, but never mention whose name will appear first. Behind the scenes, they continue to steal superdelegate votes, make a ruckus about Florida and Michigan (incidently Democrat is an oxymoron - as there is nothing democratic about the Democrat’s elitist primary process) and do everything and anything they can to make Hillary the candidate, and Barak Hussein Obama the running mate. If they grease the skids beforehand, it’ll take the winds out of the sail during the convention, so the novice Barak supporters won’t realize that the election has been stolen right out from under them - eliminating the otherwise likely rioting and protesting that normally occurs when democracy has been thwarted. God save them.

Comment by Dick Silvano

An unstoppable force? He’s talking about his mouth, right?

Comment by Ted Olsen

It’s unrealistic to think of this African American in the VP slot. That would connote the perpetuation of “second fiddle” or underdog status. Surely it’s an “all or nothing” stance for Obama. I can’t imagine him condescending to this. How could he bring “change” from a position of supportive authority? We should remember, also, that if her husband were relegated to number 2 slot, Michele Obama would no longer be able to be proud of America.

Comment by FortT3

I’d like Billary to explain why Obama, though in their mind not ready to lead on day one and not capable of answering the 3a.m. phone call, would be capable to be a heartbeat away from the presidency. Or maybe they really think that if something happens to Hillary, co-President Bill will step in, not Barack (throw out the Constitution).

Comment by JYP3500

I love Slick Willie. He wants back in a White House full of young interns so bad he can taste it. But unfortunately, it doesn’t change the fact that over 50% of the people will NOT vote for the Clintons, regardless of whether it’s a Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton ticket. The only hope democrats have is for Obama to clinch the nomination himself and name a moderate and well respected person as his running mate.

Comment by Walter

I hope the democrats make that mistake. A Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton ticket is a sure way for a republican win.

Comment by American woman

This is nonsense and they know it. This ploy to siphon off Barak supporters in this fake solidarity move will not work. Piggy backing on Obama is the name of their new game. Shame, Shame on you Clintons. Barak gave an interview last night where he said that he will NOT BE A VICE-PRESIDENTIAL candidate. They are trying anything to win - even misleading the voters. It is true that Barak has not said he wouldn’t have her as HIS vp. But the Obama family is VERY much against it. Just read the blogs - really strong negatives towards this idea.

Comment by Dana

There is not going to be a joint ticket. Barack Obama has too much integrity to go on a ticket with Hilliary. He must be crazy. I have defended Ole Bill Clinton for over 15 years. I have gotten in big arguments defending him over the years and NOW I CAN’T STAND TO LOOK AT HIM ON TV. HE IS DISGUSTING AND DESPARATE JUST LIKE HIS WIFE. He and his wife need to go back to Arkansas. I have no respect for either one of them. They know that they can’t catch up in delegates, but their goal is to divide the party so that Obama can’t win in November. That is selfish and ruthless.

Comment by Rocky

Obama had better think twice about making her a Vice President! Look at all of the mysterious deaths around the Clintons. Hillary wouldn’t think twice about killing him to reach her ultimate goal.

Comment by Andrew

Why do people still listen to this man? He is a liar and spin-doctor of the first magnitude.

Hillary is overwhelmingly carrying rural America? Once again Bill is relying on the stupidity or naivete of the American populace. Look at the State by State comparisons:

Obama –> Alabama, Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, DC, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Carolina, Texas (caucus), Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin

Clinton –> Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas (primary)

First, nothing about that is overwhelming in anyone’s favor, yet Bill sees it overwhelmingly for Hillary.

Second, if anything, Obama has the lead in rural States that typically go red. Look at Hillary’s big wins - CA (always Dem.); NY (always Dem.); MA (always Dem.); MI (Obama didn’t compete); FL (Obama didn’t compete). Hillary has picked up States the Dems. are guaranteed to get in a gen. election.

If the brass has any brains at all (and that’s not a given in either party), the decision isn’t even close.

But the most pathetic thing about this entire ordeal is no one in the spineless media has the sack to call Slick Willy (or any of these lying politicians) on his nonsense. Disgusting.

Comment by Barbara

Since Obama is leading in delegates and popular vote, why not an Obama-Clinton ticket? I am so sick of Bill and Hillary..they are evil. They need him more than he needs them.

I suggest that if Obama loses the nomination he walk away and let them twist in the wind. They so richly deserve it.

Comment by Deb Shanker

McCain/Rice will beat any combination Hillary and Obama.

Comment by Barbara

No way…Obama run away from the Clintons as fast as you can. They are corrupt. Isn’t it interesting that Cllinton puts herself at the top..she has fewer delegates. She can damn well be Vice-President. The arrogance of the Clintons knows no bounds.

Comment by Gary

Imagine it, we could be the largest socialist country on earth in just a few years and we would still have the terrorist only more of them!!!!!

Comment by Nancy, Oklahoma

And yet another political ploy. Absolutely brilliant, however I find Hillary to be vile. I will never vote for Hillary under any circumstance. Viva McCain!

Comment by RealAmerican

Comment by carl alan

I wouldn’t even consider that if I was Obammma..Put her in as VP and 30 days later , he gets the old Vince Foster treatment and she gets to be Pres..and who but a man of great experience to take the job as VP under Hillary…The one and only(sob)(sob) Wild Bill Clinton…….Watch out Barry …You just might another DC park District fatality..

Comment by BOB JONES

I hope the democrats do match up HIllary and Obama. What an incongruous threesome that would make. Don’t forget Billy boy will be in the mix, with a vengeance.
Can you imagine that group up against the terrorists, not to mention the unfriendly leaders of Russia and China.

Comment by JVR

I’m wondering what Hillary has up her sleeve here. For her to be talking about this first and Obama saying let’s wait a bit. Is she thinking she isn’t going to win, so she wants to do something for herself to have something to show for all this work and money she has spent, including at least 5 million of her own. And is she really willing to be the undercard on the ticket when Obama wins the nomination. The Clinton’s are a sneaky bunch, somethings up.

Comment by Andy

Who actually won Texas? Polarizator or Hope?. Mates Me and my entire family will go Republican if there is any Clinton on the DEM Ticket.

Comment by Linda

The Dems think a joint ticket would solve all their problems? You’ll see downright war about who gets the #2 slot. I don’t think either of these candidates wants to be second fiddle. Certainly Billary doesn’t want to settle for the VP mansion after they’ve been in the White House before. And Obama doesn’t want to go from being a “rock star” to the obscure shadows of VP underneath Billary. This could get interesting!

Comment by zoma

Hei Patty,

Loosers talk of dreams just as you people are saying now. we are comfortably leading you guys, even the result of the march 4th shows we are now leading even after hilary declared victory.

obama will bring it up in his victory speech today, make sure you watch it because the victory speech that belonged to us that hillary stole will come back to us today.

instead of saying you want us to put your girl as a vp to obama(which we dont even agree cos shes too polarizing) you are saying the opposite.

no wonder the after vote analysis always show that hillary wins amongst people with no college degree, im not surprise you are one of them. illiteracy is a disease. come out from it and join our band wagon.

Lets go Obama.

It seems that you fit into the uneducated demographic of Hillzilla. Obama “came from” America you idiot!

Either one of these two tin nickels is bad enough. Put both in there and theyll only try to routinely out perform each other. Cooperation between the two camps is nothing that could be catagorized as great, or even happening on a small level. Smart? “Once, shame on me. Twice, shame on you.” Paula and Monica might dissagree. The surviving soldiers of the USS-Cole, the Somalia expedition, the individual that picked up a phone and asked if we would like bin laden on a plate, the people in this great country that know what the definition of is is, they all might dissagree.

(If only Bill let her run her own campaign and practiced his role as the first gentleman, the people might have continued to forget who she brings with her and who shared that office with her in the past.)

Comment by Linda

If I was Obama, I’d watch my back if Billary ends up as VP on the ticket. These people will do anything to get back in the White House.

Comment by Ed

I agree with most comments here…no way I’ll vote for ANY ticket with a Clinton on it…
If Obama puts her on as VP I won’t vote for him either…If after the primary is over and he puts her on with him after all his talk about same old Washington insiders, etc…I will have to vote
for McCain. Obama, I will vote for you and another young man as VP but if you agree to
allow those criminals along for a ride on your success, forget it!

Comment by Sir Dennis

Mr. Clinton’s remark doesn’t surprise me. The way he thinks is both exceedingly worldly and patently revolting to me. Perhaps, though, he has left out a Very Important Person in his calculus. Ultimately, there is only One Who places people in positions of authority; and that Person doesn’t need to check with Bill before He makes His decision. PRIDE is the basic sin of man, Bill… think about it.

Comment by Hirotomi Takemitsu

What kind of idiot does Bill Clinton think Barack Obama is? What Clinton suggests is an insult to Obama, who has actually worked hard to get where he is- on the point of winning.

Hillary on the other hand has acted as if she was entitled to the nomination without opposition.

An Obama /Clinton ticket would be unstoppable…..but with Barack Obama in the #1 position as President….and not Hillary. But somehow I don’t think Bill or Hillary would be too pleased with that arrangement!!

Comment by jan

Obama on top - he would never take the bottom. Hilary would take anything.

Comment by Patricia Guinn

Neither person wants to be the VP, they are both to into themselves. They each want to be President and they have said terrible things about each other. I know this if either one gets to be president I may just move to another Country.

Comment by Keiko Shoda

Bill Clinton assumes it will be a Clinton/Obama ticket. Would the Clintons be as enthusiastic for an Obama/Clinton ticket? I don’t think so. They are both so predictable….trying to convince the public that it’s inevitable Hillary will be President. I don’t think chances are very good for that at all.

Comment by Shelly Thornicroft

Please, please Mr. Obama, do not let them suck you in to their scheme. They will do and say anything to get elected. They are making these statements so people who haven’t voted yet will think you would be agreeable to second place on her ticket. Please come out now and reaffirm your previous statement that you would not accept second place. You have the votes to be the nominee. Don’t let them take it away from you. Please standyour ground.

Really, Obama wants to run a clean honest campaign and a civilized one against McCain. How can he do that with mud slinger hillary around?

We all know what HIllary’s campaign tactics will be against McCain

He’s too old
he was born over seas
he’s not a conservative
he’s not liberal
he didn’t fight in vietnam, he was imprisoned for most of it
he’s offer no ideas
his middle name is sidney
he is endorsed by bush
he’s a vietnam baby killer
his only foreign policy is war
he is inexperienced
he’s all talk no substance
he’s what the bible talked about in revelations
he doesn’t deserve president

McCain attacks back at hillary over anything like say whitewater and her response will be:
“waaa shame on you mccain, why are you so negative, how come I got to answer questions, how come I have to be honest? why does everyone pick on me, You are Karl Rove, you are Ken Starr, you are Joseph Stalin, media is beating up on me, media is too soft on mccain, why do people have to vote they should just select me for president, waaa”

Hillary is trying to position herself for vice-president. Wont work. Obama short list for vice president is Nunn, Gov. Sebalus from kansas, or BillRichardson.

Comment by God Help Us

God help this nation if Obama gets elected. The man’s policies are socialist at best. This country is full of “sheeple” that vote for a candidate due to his or her empty rhetoric, good looks, or some other non-significant feature. Be informed people. Look at the man’s voting record. It’s enough to scare any non-socialist American. Our founding fathers must be farting peas at the moon right about now.

Comment by Zander

Talk about Clinton and Obama being on the same ticket has been circulating for months.
It’s a scary thought. Personally, I think Hillary does have a more extensive background knowledge on foreign policy versus Obama, but I would hestitate to put her in office due to the probable political favors she owes others from special interest groups to friends of friends. I think it would be very frustrating for Obama to be VP to Hillary. On the other hand, I can’t see Hillary being VP to Obama. She comes across as a controlling individual and it would be her way or the highway. Nevertheless, I am voting for a democrat come November . . .

Comment by Yo

Why would the individual with the most delegates consider taking the “back of the bus” to the individual in second place? Shouldn’t Bill and Senator Clinton be talking about a Obama/Clinton ticket?

Comment by Boston, Massachusetts

The Clintons are using a ploy to steal Obama’s vote.
They are acting like their doing him a favor. They
have the nerve to say he’ll make a good VP to her…

He’s winning. The spread will be evn larger after
Wyoming and Mississippi go for OBama. The
Clinton’s have lost but act like they’ve won…

She wouldn’t be a good VP we want Al Gore as
VP to President Obama…

Comment by NL Patriot

Joint ticket? As a republican I like the idea. I think many who vote for Obama do so because they hate Hillary (and the old school 4 more years scenario). These voters would be so dissapointed with Obama for doing that, they may move to Mcain or just not vote at all. Then again, would Obama really want Bill & Hill as the VP’s? Look what happened to Gore with those two.

The reality? Hill & Bill know “they need Obama”. But Obama does not need the Hill & Bill dirty tricksters attached to his presidency.

Even as a republican, I like Obama’s style. However the world has changed with war and terrorism and nuclear wana-bees. Let alone Russia, North Korea and China. I am not comfortable with a non military experienced person as a next president right now.

Comment by Comment by Manny

This is just like the Clinton’s win at any cost strategy, unfortunately for America this would be devastating. Primary focus would be on domestic and social issues and thus, put us deeper in the hole, the result of a rudderless and ineffective foreign policy and war on terror. Tax increases would fund numerous entitlements and deprive our Intelligence and Miliatry capabilities to adequately protect and defend the American people and our interests abroad. I am an American of Hispanic decent, a combat wounded and decorated Vietnam Veteran that supports strengthening our borders, and DO NOT believe in amnesty. I am sick and tired of the liberal democrats telling working class minorities that feel they don’t have a voice, that they, the democrats will continue to provide programs that enable the working class. Bottom line is that both Hillary and Obama are empty suits and have ingnited a groundswell through rhetoric of change among those who have forgotten the devastating aftermath of 9/11. We are the greatest, strongest and largest free market economy in the world, and I want to keep it that way. No more empty suits and rudderless leadeship like the Clinton and Carter years.

A McCain/Powell ticket would crush and Obama/Clinton ticket.

Can you imagine Powell and Obama in a debate?

Hmm, lets see. 2 days ago Hillary ‘embraced’ McCain as having crossed the threshold- like her- of the presidency.. and Obama only has a speech he made in 2002. See Bill’s remarks for what they are, American voters- just ONE More pathetic stratedgy on the part of the Clintons. One day she’s all over McCain and the next day it’s her and Obama on the same ticket.. which is of course ironically at the same time they headed to MISSISSIPPI to attempt to entice away the African American vote. PUHLEEZ.. Bill.. Hillary- STOP~ you two are like the newest worst comedy team to hit our tv screens since Dean & Jerry.

MISSISSIPPI~ Vote your hearts & inform yourselves- do not be swayed by the Clinton’s no holds barred attempt to con you of your VERY IMPORTANT and worthy votes.

Yesterday in Wyoming, Obama stated to a local reporter: “I am not running to be VP. And it is premature to discuss choosing a VP. Barack wants EXCELLENCE around him in the White House~ He has said that clearly… Ask yourself this does: Clinton = Excellence? NOT

Comment by Vic Schunk

Even if Hillary won the nomination, I don’t believe that Obama would want to be V.P. anyway. Hillary presidency would be a disaster and I think he knows that and wouldn’t want to be any part of it ruining any future runs for prez he might have. Anyway what a super disaster the both of them would be. Good bye liberty, good bye economy, good bye pay check!

Comment by Teejay

Another desperate act from the Clinton’s camp to save their political life which is heading into the gutters. They know fully well that this election is a lost cause for them. The whole world is watching and know already who the clear winner would be, and that person is Obama. Now the clintons want to go for the crumbs after an inevitable defeat by paving a way for a Hillary as Obama’s VP. Obama is the clear winner and knows there is no place for a clinton in his administration. Obama is the person that can save their political life from going down the drain, and the clintons know that.

Comment by KevinPop

The best thing for the USA is to get rid of the Clintons all together in their public service. To me they just bring out the bad side of politics and their old school tactics. I’m amazed at why people put up with all the scandals and accusations the Clintons bring with them.

Allow me to de-code Clinton speech. Hillary is going to lose her rear end unless Obama agrees to make her a running mate. Question is; why would she want to run with a guy who she claims is not ready on day one? Am I missing something or is she bi-polar????

Comment by S

Everybody needs to pay attention to THIS….

If HRC steals the nomination (yes steal) at the convention, it will SHATTER young people and destroy the party. Period, end of story.

Her new tactic is this “joint ticket” crap, Clinton-Obama. Maybe I am slow and didn’t go to college, but with him leading in pledged delegates, which she CANNOT catch, shouldn’t it be Obama-Clinton? I can assure each and everyone of you right here and now, if Obama gives in to this crap about “let me lead the ticket and then in 8 years you get your turn”, she WILL turn on him in 4 years. No if, ands or buts about it. Do NOT trust her Barack, keep your focus and message of hope and change. If she wants a joint ticket, make sure she understands she will be Vice President AGAIN. What you thought Al Gore was VP during her husbands administration?

Hillary should be at the top of the ticket. Right now she leads in popular vote, not including Florida or Michigan

It is nice to see so many of you understand how detrimental the Clintons are to this nation. Obama needs to stay clear of the Clinton’s. They would severely tarnish his reputation. I am a Republican who crossed party lines to vote for Obama. I think he would make a great president. However, if Hillary is on the ticket he will not get my vote. She cannot be trusted, she is a scary “monster”!!!

If Hillary should win will she return the china she took from the White House or will she give it to Michele and get her some new china?

Comment by Gabby

If Obama wins, he would be crazy to put her on his ticket. She would not be his lap dog and they would be ready on day one to undermine him. If he wants to win, he needs to toughen up and take the offense against the Clintons, and keep them on their heels. The Clintons have a lot to hide in their tax returns and all of the 1990’s White House papers they are refusing to release. You can bet there are some very embarrassing papers not yet released, regarding all of the Clinton pardons for various criminals on his last day in office. He should pursue that strategy.

If I were Obama and she happens to steal the nomination, which she is desperately trying to do now, no way would I accept the VP nomination. She only needs his supporters to come to her side, and to Hell with him. He would be irrelevant as Hell as VP for her, after she brings in Bill and the other dirt bags into her administration.

She needs him more than he needs her. She is indead a monster.

She wants to be his VP so then she could take over after he gets shot in the back.

Does Clinton feel she should be the President with O’Bama being the Vice Pres? If so, do you think O’Bama would know they mean he would be 3rd after Hillary, then Bill?
She must know by now she is actually going to lose this race and is trying to keep her foot in the door someway. When is she going to admit the people do NOT want Clinton’s back in the White House again.

Obama won 12 in a row have the popular vote and have a delegate lead that cant be touch

even if hillary win all the remaining states. IF hell freezes over that means he lost the

nomination, Then the FBI , Scotland yard and every possible investigative entity needs to be

call in because a HEINOUS CRIME has taken place. Obama doesn’t need her, but if naming

Hillary VP; will create peace and unite the party, then that wouldn’t be a bad option for Obama

to look at; then everyone wins. Even if the Hillary haters gets motivated to come out and vote

against this ticket .Their NUMBERS will not be enough to take down these 2.

Bill will say anything, do anything to get back in the White House….what an ego! Does the DNC put up with this, without ever asking Obama, or considering the damage the Clintons are doing to the Democratic Party - for the second time!

This whole mess is going to implode regardless of what they themselves think..

Both are too egotistical to take VP … and don’t forget …the press is just getting stared w/ Obama.

You guys are about to find out , just what kind of nut this guy really is.

I’ll stick w/ Mc Cain & hope for the best ….

I find it extremly sad that these three are our choices….. Surely our great nation could come up with much better.

So Bill thinks that a ticket with BOTH hillary and Barack would be an unstoppable force?

I think it would be an UNTHINKABLE FARCE!!

Little does Billary know that there are many like me that would consider her a SHOWSTOPPER anywhere on the ticket!! I would not support her for ANY elected office in this country!

GO Obama — as far from Hillary as you can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obama would be making a huge mistaken putting Hillary on the ticket. Hillary and Bill would surely try to overshadow Obama. Look at the burden Bubba placed on Hillary during the early Primaries with his big mouth. Imagine that loose cannon during Obama’s Presidency. Plus Hillary is now clearly demonstrating that she is a agent of divisiveness with her “everything but the kitchen sink” approach in dealing with Obama. Clearly the American people of sick of the tone the Clintons bring to Washington. One last point…why in the world would Obama put Hillary on the ticket when she is facing CORRUPTION CHARGES in October 2008 in the Peter Paul fraud suit?

It is pretty sad that the Hill/Bills of Ark. have to ride the coatails of Obama to get the “her” re-elected. Obama doesn’t need those two to drag him through the mud. Bill, its Hillary, stupid, that the people don’t want.

Instead of “God Bless America”.
It would “God Help America”.

Does “Slick Willy” in making this statement realize that this “unstoppable force” just might
“gavanize” we conservatives and bring us out in “droves” to vote “ABC”, (anybody but Clinton)
or should I say “the Clinton`s.

Comment by HuskerLiz

I can envision an Obama-Clinton ticket. As the head of the ticket, Obama could probably overcome all those negatives that Hillary drags around with her. She could then beef up his experience problem and help guide him through his difficult initial days as President.

Oh, wait a minute — Let me guess — Billary aren’t thinking in terms of Obama being the top of that ticket, are they! Obama would be STUPID to take the VP job under Billary. They might pull him out of the closet for NAACP meetings, etc. But they would never want his smooth-talking presence in the way to overshadow her mean-spirited, whiney personage.

As a woman, I continue to say, “I’m ready any time for a qualified female President. — Just not THAT woman!”

Neither can win in the presidential, party too split; draft Gore and give each of them a place in his Cabinet
