Rep. King Stands by Prediction That Obama Presidency Would Be Welcomed by Terrorists

DES MOINES, Iowa — An Iowa Republican congressman on Monday defended his prediction that terrorists would celebrate if Democrat Barack Obama were elected president, despite a rebuke from aides to John McCain, the GOP’s apparent presidential nominee.
“(Obama will) certainly be viewed as a savior for them,” Rep. Steve King told The Associated Press. “That’s why you will see them supporting him, encouraging him.”
King said his offices have been bombarded with calls — positive and negative — since he said Friday that Al Qaeda “would be dancing in the streets in greater numbers than they did on September 11 because they would declare victory in this war on terror.”
King cited Obama’s pledge to pull U.S. troops from Iraq, his father’s Muslim roots in Kenya and his middle name, Hussein, which King said has a meaning to terrorists.
Asked about the remarks as he campaigned in Mississippi, Obama said, “I think that Mr. King has it backwards. The fact that the continuation of a presence in Iraq as Senator McCain has suggested is exactly what, I think, will fan the flames of anti-American sentiment and make it more difficult for us to create a long-term and sustainable peace in the world.
“But I have to say that Mr. King and individuals like him thrive on offensive or controversial statements as a way to get in the papers, so I don’t take it too seriously. I would hope Senator McCain would want to distance himself from that kind of inflammatory and offensive remarks,” Obama said.
Aides to McCain also disavowed King’s comments.
“John McCain rejects the type of politics that degrades our civics … and obviously that extends to Congressman King’s statement,” spokesman Brian Rogers told The Associated Press.
Last month, McCain also denounced his introduction in Cincinnati by talk-show host Bill Cunningham, who referred to Obama three times as “Barack Hussein Obama.”
Obama supporters have claimed such tactics are being used to imply that he is a Muslim.
The Illinois senator, born in Hawaii to a white Kansas woman and a Kenyan man, is a Christian and has said he has little connection to the Islamic religion, though he acknowledges spending part of his childhood in largely Muslim Indonesia.
Lets Face it.. Obama is an Islamic Ninja..
Since when is stating your opinion “offensive”? Especially when all you’ve stated are facts. Obama’s middle name is indeed Hussien, he does indeed intend to bring the troops out of Iraq, and Obama does indeed have Islamic background in Kenya. What’s offensive? No matter your stand on politics, facts are facts.
So, now the march is on to Penn.
How will the happy twins approach that one? Is the platform national security, or maybe health care, or who approved the War [one eligible indeed to do so or not as she was there at the time] [the other one who wasn’t there but says he did not approve it] …. let me just figure this out for a while …. nope I can’t figure it, so what else is on the platform …. I mean, they can’t just throw mud at each other all the time; Penn is an old State, very proud, they won’t make time for no mud.
Oh ya, almost forgot. Both agree on at least one thing: they will bring all the soldiers back from Iraq by end March. What a lovely thought: Iranians and all terrorists from all over the world will start to love America, peace in the world, no hunger, no strife, no wars ever again anywhere, just love and love …. more love …. as soon as President Bush leaves Office. That is all, the only thing causing all the ill’s in the World. They will soon fix that, on that point they agree.
Why don’t the Dem Leadership just censor both, take them off the Party Roll and let them see how far each can get by their real selves.
Would be interesting? Better than two peas same pod both exploiting, and riding on the back of, the Party. Bet them Rep’s wouldn’t have allowed such a mess, kicked them both out long time ago?

So, Senator Obama is not interested in the Veep position with Hillary. Nothing small like that. He aims [in his own words] at “winning this nomination and changing the country” and that tells me he wants to make the Rules and Call the shots.
I always wondered about the man. Now it makes me wonder whether others in the Party or those in leadership in the Democratic Party really know what they have in their breast. Does he want to change the Party too, or is he just planning on creating as much havoc as possible, in which he is successful right now, and then see the Democratic Party and the Country being torn apart, asunder, and destroyed. Meantime he uses the Party as a platform?
The Senator is running wild, firing from the hip, an uncontrolled loose cannon, or I must be going nuts if I am the only one seeing this.
There is something like this in history somewhere …. ?

America, brace yourself. How I would hope this was not necessary to say, but it is all so clear from News reaction by the widest spectrum of ordinary citizens, and almost incredible nobody seems to pick it up.
Iran has always hated anything American since the Carter days. For the Senator to say President Bush is to be blamed? Did you not expect a reaction? Even if you did not, don’t you see it now? America has reached the crossing of the roads; it is all so clear if you just read Readers Comments. Obama is striding across the screens, unperturbed, imperial, in Messiah cloth, demanding McCain should “repudiate Wyoming” …. but his Camp where it started? …. Don’t try tell me he did not know it …. it is all so well planned.
What I clearly see is [Permission Michael Fox] “Forward to the Past” on Fast Forward mode.
Let me close with extreme sadness. Unless you act right now, America will burn before this year is out. Save this comment, but for the sake of your land take precautions NOW [I SAY NOW] [NOT TOMORROW OR NEXT WEEK, MEAN NOW]. You must be blind not to see it. The biggest WAR is building up in homes, minds and people’s hearts. That’s how Terrorism works; I fervently hope it can still be stopped before it spills out into the streets and in the 2008 Convention Cities.
Please take note I am not saying Iranians will sing in the streets …. not at all. What I am saying is America contains within itself the seed to self-destruct and that is all your enemies need in this kind of War …. Indeed they are promoting the process.
Iraq? Forget Iraq. Compared to what is building up in peoples’ minds Iraq will look like a walk in the park. You don’t believe it? …. Take note of the date I pen this: Sunday, March 09, 2008 and remember.
For how long are we going to have this Love Fest with Senator Obama? The man is no Messiah [not the desirable sort anyway]; he is working on his own schedule known to him only.

I find it strange that none the comments I have left in re to this issue/comment by Rep. King have not found their way to the comments section. They didn’t seem, to me, to meet any of the censorship requirements stated in the moderation note.
