Rep. King Stands by Prediction That Obama Presidency Would Be Welcomed by Terrorists

DES MOINES, Iowa — An Iowa Republican congressman on Monday defended his prediction that terrorists would celebrate if Democrat Barack Obama were elected president, despite a rebuke from aides to John McCain, the GOP’s apparent presidential nominee.
“(Obama will) certainly be viewed as a savior for them,” Rep. Steve King told The Associated Press. “That’s why you will see them supporting him, encouraging him.”
King said his offices have been bombarded with calls — positive and negative — since he said Friday that Al Qaeda “would be dancing in the streets in greater numbers than they did on September 11 because they would declare victory in this war on terror.”
King cited Obama’s pledge to pull U.S. troops from Iraq, his father’s Muslim roots in Kenya and his middle name, Hussein, which King said has a meaning to terrorists.
Asked about the remarks as he campaigned in Mississippi, Obama said, “I think that Mr. King has it backwards. The fact that the continuation of a presence in Iraq as Senator McCain has suggested is exactly what, I think, will fan the flames of anti-American sentiment and make it more difficult for us to create a long-term and sustainable peace in the world.
“But I have to say that Mr. King and individuals like him thrive on offensive or controversial statements as a way to get in the papers, so I don’t take it too seriously. I would hope Senator McCain would want to distance himself from that kind of inflammatory and offensive remarks,” Obama said.
Aides to McCain also disavowed King’s comments.
“John McCain rejects the type of politics that degrades our civics … and obviously that extends to Congressman King’s statement,” spokesman Brian Rogers told The Associated Press.
Last month, McCain also denounced his introduction in Cincinnati by talk-show host Bill Cunningham, who referred to Obama three times as “Barack Hussein Obama.”
Obama supporters have claimed such tactics are being used to imply that he is a Muslim.
The Illinois senator, born in Hawaii to a white Kansas woman and a Kenyan man, is a Christian and has said he has little connection to the Islamic religion, though he acknowledges spending part of his childhood in largely Muslim Indonesia.

What a nut we have running for the Presidency, blasting his big mouth off every time on anything? Now he’s stirring in voters’ fears about Iraq, with gasoline prices …. tell them when he gets in they will pay dollar a day for gasoline?
Senator Obama, have you ever heard of OPEC? Seems to me you have not; I hear you shouting your big mouth off about the gasoline price.
Well son, lem’me tell you then. Them is kind of a Union, unnerstand? Big Fellows got together long before the War, very long ago, way back before you were born, and formed this Union of Oil Producing Export Countries, called OPEC. Them fellows determine the oil price, and they try their utter best to determine supply as well.
Son, if you want to pick that 3 am phone up and call them, you can check it out, see. And I suggest you ask them about the Iraq War at the same time. You may find out a whole darn lot of them want America to stay in there permanently to help them against Iraq, you see they don’t always get along with each other …. old Saddam was not on good terms with all of them, kind of not everyone’s friendly neighbor, see.
Then son, when you have done that tell us how you suggest we end this war. Way I heard you said all our soldiers gotta be back here by end March next year. Are you gonna pick up the 3 am phone to call General Petraeus and say: “Lookie here General, this Waw is ovuh, heah, get them soldiers home on the double, heah, THIS IS AN ORDER GENERAL?”
I could tell you a lot more about oil prices and supply/demand and oil profits/export earnings, all kind of things, but we leave that for another day. You need the time to prepare another stupid speech.
You are really, double really, nuts/wacky/big mouth/empty shell. My oh my, iffin you by chance get this nomination, them Reps and American Business will chew you up, son, and spit out the hollow bones.
Maybe I should close with a little more advice: them Voters you think are all sheep and you think them sheep will follow you blind. They won’t do that no longer, Son, soon’s they realize what a Liar you are, they will get rid of you. Poor Baby? Duh!
That is the sum total of this Man. That is all he stands for.

Study his Philadelphia speech well. It is nothing less than unadulterated racial incitement, skillfully dressed in fine words in that old City; yes he picked his venue well. The man is brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Problem is, his devious mind.

A previous comment herein adapted an old cliché to the Dem’s; another way would be: “live by the Messiah, die by the Messiah.”
I have read your Philadelphia speech; I have read it over and over; I have read your book; I am not as eloquent as you are, but I have something to say to you.
What you said in Philadelphia was obviously well planned, as was your timing and the venue. You are quite amazing, Senator Obama.
But what you are doing is ten times, no …. thousand times worse than Pastor Jeremiah. It is very clever, yes, and you hide it well; what you are planning is racial incitement under a cloak of dignity. You are using Holy things, you play with them; to you the voter is just an object to use, you know that, Senator, but you want to be Messiah more than you want to be President. You are brilliant, we know that, but we know what drives you.
You disgust me, Senator. You obviously think enough American Voters are as dumb and gullible as you wish them to be, to obtain your dark objectives. You plant the seeds of destruction …. no one sees you are the one behind it; then another Grand Speech to inflate your massive Ego; while you tear the Heart out of America.
That is why you answer questions through cleverly designed statements in these columns; so you don’t have to reveal who you are.
Very clever, yes Sir, but you will ultimately Fail, and Fall, because America is much greater than you are.

Steve King is right in his statements and to not backing down. Barack’s minister’s foul rhetoric and Barack’s failure to run from those statements proves. Steve King is right!
We have him on the run now, and we will hunt him down, Rep. King, ya bet, Sir, ya bet. We will get him.

Every logical mind should be able to work out that 911 was planned years ahead and brilliantly executed. If you don’t know that, don’t even bother to read any further.
Many have said Senator Obama possesses a rare combination of skills, in fact so rare, no single other politician comes even close. What is not realized is the Senator also possesses a brilliant political mind. He knows everything he does, he does it with finesse, when he is not sure, he tests the waters to verify his plan. If he finds the test results satisfactory, his plan goes in. The Senator, to summarize, is a master Strategist; he leaves nothing to chance.
He knows full well he cannot win in November, so for now he goes in as the Peace Messiah. Nobody even knows or suspects he is testing the waters.
The Iran hate America Bush plan was executed with perfection. After that Ferraro and the race conflict. Nobody can point a finger at him. He rides across the screens hands clean, the Grand Uniter, Peace Messiah. Inside he knows he is closer to his goal than the day before. He knows it perfectly well.
You don’t believe this? Let me tell you his next big step [test] is Denver. If he fails in Denver he knows he will have to withdraw. But don’t think you know his private definitions of fail or win.
Herein lies the point. Senator Obama will win August if Denver erupts in flames. That is the grand and final test for him, inside him. So either way he wins. He simply cannot loose, whichever way it goes. …. Superbly confident, because everything has worked according to plan so far. He is the “Yes, I Can” man.

I have now studied your Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s details on this site and your outright rejection of his views.
But it confirms my suspicions: you are badly tainted, Senator. You’ve had twenty years of this? Now I also understand how you decided to blame President Busch for Iran’s hatred of America.
I understand something else too. You knew full well what the result of that would be, as with everything else. You are not a Messiah of Unity Senator indeed the Messiah of Hate and Destruction. Reject the man now? When the damage has been done, while your lead over Senator Clinton is coming down, and Pennsylvania just ahead?
No Senator, America is getting to understand your plans. You are more vindictive than Senator Clinton. She remains driven by a desire to win, an unhealthy desire yes, but I am sure she is not plotting chaos to destroy America.
You are, Senator. But America will deal with you. America is much bigger than you, Senator. You have done a lot of harm already [as you full well intended], and I fear the aftermath, but America will reject you, mark my words, sir.

I find it strange that none the comments I have left in re to this issue/comment by Rep. King have not found their way to the comments section. They didn’t seem, to me, to meet any of the censorship requirements stated in the moderation note.
