Republican Sen. Wayne Allard cobbled together what he said were all 111 of Barack Obama's economic proposals into an amendment to the budget Thursday.
A vote for the Allard amendment would have been a vote for Obama's economic proposals, which Allard was trying to point out, in the most basic way, are too costly.
The vote was 99-0, with Obama voting against the amendment. Republican presidential candidate and Arizona Sen. John McCain was not present to cast what would presumably have been a "no" vote.
