Report: Rezko Raised Up to $250G for Obama’s Early Campaigns
Indicted Chicago businessman Tony Rezko raised up to a quarter-million dollars for Barack Obama during his early days in politics, Obama admitted in an interview with the Chicago Tribune published Friday on the newspaper’s Web site.
The Tribune reports that in the interview Obama portrayed Rezko as a bigger fundraiser for his early campaigns than previously thought. Obama said Rezko raised as much as $250,000 to support Obama’s first three campaigns for political office.
The real estate developer is currently on trial in a federal court in Chicago on political corruption charges. Rezko doesn’t deny his role as a high-powered money man for Democrats, but he has refuted prosecutors’ allegations that he tried to shake down companies that wanted to do business with the state.
Hillary Clinton’s campaign has criticized Obama repeatedly for his ties to Rezko. Obama told the Tribune that he erred in pursuing real estate transactions with Rezko while the developer was under grand jury investigation.
Obama said he made “a mistake in not seeing the potential conflicts of interest,” since Rezko was a contributor, but added that voters still should trust him as a presidential candidate because he wasn’t engaged in any wrongdoing.

Mr Obama just discovered that Mr Rezko had donated more money than he had realized to his early campaigns. He also just recently `discovered` that his pastor of twenty years is a vicious racist and hate-monger who believes 9/11 was just our country`s getting its just desserts and that God Damn America is a more appropriate phrase than God Bless America. Either Mr Obama is not as sharp as his ardent supporters say he is or his real sociopolitical beliefs are far from what his rhetoric belies (a much more disturbing possibility). Who is the real Obama? I predict that the American people will more and more demand to know the truth. At any rate, this is the `change` I `hope` for.
Let’s wait another week or two and the sum will rise to maybe 350.000 or even 500.000. Weeks ago they already asured us that the 150.000 was everything there is and still more and more money is popping up.
Let’s face it, Obama is knee-deep in Rezko’s pocket and will go down with him.
Oh my goodness, I guess his decisions were not always the best.
A $100,000 mistake?!? Imagine what he would say in office when the first corruption scandal hits the news from his administration!! “Gee I mis-stated the figures by a few hundred million, and made a mistake in not seeing this as a potential conflict, sorry folks.”
Wow, we need to all ask ourselves, if this kind of thing is hidden, what else has Obama hidden from view with the help of the other major media outlets?? Obama is a liar, and he has been caught - again!
This is unbeleivable - so far some of his major associations are:
1) a slum lord under indictment that is turning out to be more of a close supporter of Obama than he originally stated
2) his pastor of 20 years, who is spouting racist hatred from the pulpit, as well as praising people like Farrakhan and promoting Obama from the pulpit, while running down other candidates - let’s see I seem to remember a law and the IRS and churches…hmmm
3) a member of a domestic terrorist group - the weathermen, who bombed US facilities and who Obama praised
Obama and his campaign have a lot of nerve saying any other person, group or campaign has been using racial overtones in their messages!
And this after Obama has BARELY been scrutinized by anyone but Fox news and their great reporters!! What will we find when the digging really starts!!
If Obama gets in, we are all in trouble!!
For the last 2 month’s I have read and heard Obama and his Followers say because he is young he will associate with outstanding people, he will consult with and work very hard using his god given talents. Maybe it’s time to check this, State Senator Obama’s activities involving the time he was chairman of the Illinois Senate’s Health committee, from the New York Times: “Mr. Rezko’s Lawyers introduced the e-mail message in an effort to show that a wide range of the state political leaders and not just Mr. Rezko were involved in decisions involving the Health Board.” “Three Rezko associates who sat on the Hospital Board made substantial donations to Mr. Blogojevich and Mr. Obama in 2003 and 2004.” Rezko again: Obama found another $100,000.00 that Mr. Rezko gave him, is there more? Obama’s House: Rezko paid $300,000.00 for a lot but it was only worth from $40,000.00 to $300,000.00, depending on different sources, how much is the appraised value of the lot. Why did he pay 1 million $600,000.00 for a house that was selling for 1 million $900,000.00? Why would his adviser on trade tell Canada that, what he said in a debate about NAFTA was not what he would do if he was elected? Why would his Adviser go to England and say do not to take what Obama says about Iraq serious, because he will change after the election? Why would Obama belong to and fund with donations a church that has a very angry minister for over 20 years and continues to day? Why does Obama and his followers always say racist when some one questions him or points out he said something not quite true? Why would Obama not be very proud of getting 92% of the black vote in Mississippi? The questions are many the time is short maybe I can read or hear an honesty answer. On a different but related subject, on CNN I heard a black person say what Rev. Wright said in the videos is repeated in every black church every Sunday in America, could that be true, I pray not.

“Barack Obama campaigns as a uniter. He chose to be an active member of this church for over 20 years. Moreover, he chose Reverend Jeremiah Wright as his spiritual mentor. In addition, Obama appointed the reverend to the campaign position of National Leader Of African American Spiritual Issues. The odds are overwhelming that over the past 20 years the reverend preached sermons similar to the numerous ones now available on DVD. The congregants appeared to be in resounding agreement with the racist, hateful, divisive words in the recently publicized sermons. Therefore, if Barack Obama is truly a uniter, and if he has good judgment, then he should have left this church 19 years and 364 days ago. Anything now is too little too late. Since Obama chose not to vote with this feet to leave the hateful church, then voters need to vote with our vote and remove him from the presidential race once and for all. I do not love either Hillary Clinton or John McCain. But I would gladly vote for either of them rather than vote for a man who claims to be a uniter while he continues to attend a racist, hateful, bigoted church. P.S. We shall be waiting for the rest of the story. Obama sure does not know how to pick his friends very well. Seems he is always saying I misjudged or some other excuse for his mistakes. Is this what he will say if he is elected, when he is working with the entire nation.
