Report: Rezko Raised Up to $250G for Obama’s Early Campaigns

Border

Indicted Chicago businessman Tony Rezko raised up to a quarter-million dollars for Barack Obama during his early days in politics, Obama admitted in an interview with the Chicago Tribune published Friday on the newspaper’s Web site.

The Tribune reports that in the interview Obama portrayed Rezko as a bigger fundraiser for his early campaigns than previously thought. Obama said Rezko raised as much as $250,000 to support Obama’s first three campaigns for political office.

The real estate developer is currently on trial in a federal court in Chicago on political corruption charges. Rezko doesn’t deny his role as a high-powered money man for Democrats, but he has refuted prosecutors’ allegations that he tried to shake down companies that wanted to do business with the state.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign has criticized Obama repeatedly for his ties to Rezko. Obama told the Tribune that he erred in pursuing real estate transactions with Rezko while the developer was under grand jury investigation.

Obama said he made “a mistake in not seeing the potential conflicts of interest,” since Rezko was a contributor, but added that voters still should trust him as a presidential candidate because he wasn’t engaged in any wrongdoing.

For an individual who wants Americans to judge him on his Judgments, it appears lately that his Judgments have been in question. For an individual who says he is not your typical politician, he sure is acting like one lately. I give him credit for being open about his errors in judgment but I must say that he shows himself to be pretty neive or ignorant when he sticks with individuals who have questionable backgrounds or actions.

Another lie frm Obama! First he said he received $150,000 and gave “most of it away”. Now he admits it was much more than that. How much of the new figure did he keep??? Now he lies about his relationship with his anti-American pastor, saying he never heard Wright use incendiary statements, then again saying he heard him once or twice! Obama is a black separatist just like his pastor, and his credibility is in the toilet!!!

Sure he denouncing NOW! Pure politics. Mr. Obama sticks his finger in the wind to find out what the popular thing to say is and that’s exactly what he does. This man is an empty suit. He’s not capable of making the hard decisions the Office of the Presidency requires. Americans sit in their cozy living rooms and make broad accusations on the motives of Mr. Bush. I’d like to put them in HIS position. I can’t see Mr. Obama making the TOUGH decisions that displease many but is for the better good of this country. Mr. Obama has skeltons and will do and say anything to get his votes. Beware of a man who has no substance and has a silver tongue.

If Mr. Obama cannot recognize a simple and common conflict of interest (after all, this guy is an attorney, right?) inherent in a real estate deal, how on earth does he have the sophistication to address the complexities of international intrigue? Oh well, I guess that doesn’t really matter. He’ll just go bomb Pakistan to get it out of his system!!

Somebody should look into the history of Obama, they man is not what he is pretending to be. I do not understand what he was doing during the time he was living in Kenya and other places he might have been. How can people be so stupid to vote for such an un-known person.

I am SHOCKED that it took so long for Senator Obama to finally say something about still accepting all that money from his crooked land developer that he supposedly hasn’t seen nor talked to in years. This is as bad as Senator Obama taking over a month to say something about his pastor. This is the pastor and church that he supports through his regular tithing! The Senator family donates thousand of dollars to this church annually. That means he support his pastor’s RACIAL overtones and revolutionary statements of overthrowing America. Who does Senator Obama trying to fool and what is he trying to hide? Why is he openly, freely, and devotedly donated all that money to a cause if he doesn’t believe in it? Why is Senator Obama lying to America?
