you know for a person who says he can bring this country together, Obama sure is tearing it apart with his offensive racist statements. he says he can unite us all, but what see is him seriously setting this country up for a major race war. you tell me whats going to happen when he loses, what do you think his defeat will be blamed on, i hope we dont have another 1968 on our hands. if Don Imus cant make offensive statements and get away with it(i agree he should have been fired by the way) neither can Barrack.

If one goes into a church to sit down and worship the Lord, and sing songs of adoration for the Saviour of mankind and then a preacher [any preacher] gets up and starts preaching HATE bigtime then only a fool or a dyed in the wool politician would sit there. No Christan would stay 20 min. much less 20 years.

I have watched and listened to all of the bru-ha about ‘Pastor Wright’ and the comparisons of George Bush speaking at Bob Jones University to Barack Obama being a member of ‘Pastor Wright’s’ congregation. I would like for someone to explain to me the similarity of making one speech for an hour or so at a university to the relationship of being a member of a church for nearly twenty years. Somehow I can’t bring myself to understand how they are the same.

That is exactly what I would like to know too!!

Anthony Flores: THANK YOU for saying exactly how it is!!!!!!

If Fox continues to repeat how Obama threw his grandma under the bus - that's okay with me.
For some people you have to hear something over and over again before it sinks in..
Anyone that continues to support Obama after the events of this past week might want to think about getting some intense counseling. What are you people thinking - a racist for President??
Feel sorry for his grandma....

I guess there are typical white people, just as there are typical black people, does that make it a derogatory statement? Of course it does, when a white person refers to a black person as "A typical Black person", I assure you it is not a compliment. Having said that, by having a Presidential Candidate use such a derogatory quote, along with refusing to separate himself from the likes of his Pastor only speaks to his judgement. What is interesting is that if Obama wished to stop the racist hatred that exist in this Country then his first step in that direction should have been to separate himself from the like of his friends, Pastor Wright, Reskoe and the likes and what they represent. Pastor Wright is unequivically insighting racial hatred towards the white race, they are blatant lies and there are truths in his sermons. How can white America take this person seriously when the things that spews from his mouth are false.

Doesn't Obama realize he could have made a better statement against racism if he'd never brought it into the picture? The best way to defeat racism is to not make it an issue because thats when it rears it's ugly head the most. But at least now we know how he really is.

I'm sick and tired of the race card. On BOTH sides! Every time there is a race issue information is always distorted. I as a "white" American can say I personally have had nothing to do with slavery but just as some African Americans get looped in with stereotypes, in some of their eyes I'm apart of that. It bothers me that it's often mistaken that because I'm white, my road in life is easier. I had to work hard for what I have and so did my whole family. My mother raised 3 children by herself on an income of less than $7 an hour. I still have about $30,000 in college loans to pay back because I couldn't receive as many grants because I am white. I know to some that will sound racist but it's true. Go apply for student loans and see for yourself. And as a white person in a lot of instances it's harder to defend your self in these issues because of that. i do agree that racism is still alive but poverty is not a race. I have no qualms with any race what so ever but I hate racism whether from a white, black, purple, green-whatever. Do people realize that in this day and age there are millions of mixed families. My family included. What are these children supposed to think when people like their mommy are fighting with people like their daddy? Children don't see color as a problem it's a difference. Like hair color or eye color. Aren't we old enough to deal with these things like adults. Or should I say Children? I think it's shameful the way the media is playing the race card. And Obama should stick to politics not race issues. Wright said Hillary didn't grow up in a poor one parent home. well I did and guess what...I'm white. People say the want equality but then they don't see how equal we really are.

ox·y·mo·ron (ŏk'sē-môr'ŏn', -mōr'-)
A rhetorical figure in which incongruous or contradictory terms are combined, as in a deafening silence and a mournful optimist.

Rhetoric.
a figure of speech by which a locution produces an incongruous, seemingly self-contradictory effect, as in “cruel kindness” or “to make haste slowly.”

or Fox... "Fair and Balanced"

These are examples of a Oxymoron.

From the same network that roasted McCain as too liberal and a person that voted against the permanent tax cut before he voted FOR the permanent tax cut??

Hannity and limbaugh blasted McCain and most in the party said they would never support him, but oh how hypocritical these same people can be in a few months.

Figure this out..

Typical Obama to throw his grandmother under the bus in his speech and then back up over her by calling her a typical white person. This guy is pathetic. Why not talk about his Kenyan Grandmother...where was she when he was needing money to go to prep school in Hawaii?

"He denied his grandmother held hatred toward blacks, but described her as a “typical white person.”

Yes, that's about right for a woman of her generation. From personal experience my mother and aunt harbor the same stereotypes and they're both white to.

Dillweeds! I quite agree with Bob Cesca. Dillweeds, the both of you, Steve whatever and the airhead sitting next to you. Kudos to both Brian Kilmeade and Chris Wallace for standing up to such Fox News nonsense!

I am just wondering about all the thousands of "typical white folks" out there who voted for Obama in the primaries. I would be willing to bet they wish they had known this racist attitude against whites back when they were casting those ballots. I hope you wake up before the general election rolls around.

Obama may win the democratic nomination but he will lose to McCain. Let's get this over. Americans will never choose a man who is sympathetic to Muslims who hate us -- but then he goes to a church that hates America and the white man. What a moron! If you want to be President you don't associate with hate mongers.

This comment is just bad when you are a person who is running for president and you want to try to unite the races. How is this supposed to make white people feel? He must really think that people are as stupid as he is. Does he really think that people would clutch their bag or lock their doors if it were he crossing the street? or walking next to us in the street? That is ludicrous and insulting! Now, if there is someone who is dressed like a thug, wearing a do-rag, and looking like their in a street gang...well, now this reaction makes sense. Anyone can clearly see the difference between an African American who is educated, well kept, and hardworking. Just the same way, it is easy to see a white person who is uneducated, raised in a low-income family, and can't hold a job. He assumes that white people only see color...how sad. I do not believe that all black people act as if they are from the street. However, when I encounter someone (of any race) who embraces the thug life as their culture, I am going to cringe! Why doesn't he address that issue?

Senator Obama would be remembered after this election who gave republicans easy way to get into White House. If he is a true democrat - he should step down and let Hilary to get democrats into White House. At the beginning I liked Obama but now I know that he is not Agent of Change - he is topical a politician!

Between Wright and Ferraro, Ferraro was FAR worse.

Her comment was a calculated political hit meant to manipulate the voters.

Implying that Sen. Obama might become President just because of the color of his skin...that dismisses everything else about him. Maybe he'll become President because he's smart. Maybe he'll win because he's a nice guy. Maybe because he's tall. Heck...maybe some people will vote for him because he went to Harvard.

For me, judging someone solely on their race...and not who they are or what they have accomplished is TRUE RACISM. Thats what Ferraro did...and it was a Clinton ordered Political hit.

Saying America is run by white people..or that Sen. Clinton has never been called a N****r, well those are mostly true...there has never been a non-white President...and who would confuse Sen. Clinton with a African American? Where is the racism?

Plus the Church has White members & is part of a denomination that is 99.9% white.
A Black person would never join the KKK. ...the Black Panthers would never join the
Aryan Nation.

This was good mud to throw at Sen. Obama...but it doesn't stick when you think about it.
The same people who believed he was a radical Muslim, will believe this....and I don't think he was counting on that groups vote anyway.

I hope he gets to run against Sen. McCain. I believe they will both be gentlemen. Sen. Clinton and her Monster Machine on the other hand, will tear Sen. McCain apart....and we'll have to watch another great American get smeared. She'll have 70 plus years of material to mis-use....that will be a lot of mud. (watch for the photoshop picture of Sen. McCain & Jane Fonda in a hot tub).
