Report: Edwards Not Expected to Endorse Either Democrat
A John Edwards endorsement is one the big X factors left in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, but several of Edwards’ closest advisers from his days on the campaign trail say he’s unlikely to throw his weight behind either candidate, according to a report in The Politico.
The article quotes former aides who says Edwards is torn between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, and there’s a good chance he’ll stay on the sidelines.
The speculation comes on the heels of the endorsement Friday of Obama by New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, another former candidate for the Democratic nomination.
Richardson was a major score for Obama since both sides were courting him. But Edwards would bring to the table his two presidential campaigns worth of supporters, and the former North Carolina senator’s home state has its primary in May.
According to one aide quoted in the Politico article: “He’s probably going to remain neutral and sort of try to play on that Al Gore status as party elder.”
The advisers interviewed qualified that they’re not ruling anything out.

Although I really want Hillary to win, I accept the fact that Obama might get the nomination because Superdelegates are too afraid to be called racist if they choose Hillary.
The only satisfaction I’ll get to offset my disappointment will be to see the Republicans grind Obama into the ground. And I’ll help by voting for McCain (while holding my nose).
But Hillary can run again in 2012. Obama wouldn’t even be able to run for dog-catcher after this.

I believe there are behind the scenes individuals working for fox that are throwing in their little “comments” to throw individuals off or incite anger. Read between the lines….Hillary isn’t goign to win this contest….she and Bill carry so much baggage….hmmm forgetfulness, lying, deceiving the public, etc. Paul v. Clinton is coming up you Hillary voters and you will see why Vince Foster committed suicide….they are evil human beings and have been rocked by scandals during Bubba’s term in office….they are not geniune people…and with Bill roaming the country campaigning for her, which is suppose to be a plus, has pretty much slapped the democratic voters by supporting McCain….let me repeat that - SUPPORTING MCCAIN…
