Virtual Tie Between McCain and Obama … in Their NCAA Brackets
It is amazing John McCain has been able to recover from such a stunning loss.
McCain, the Arizona senator and presumptive Republican nominee for president, hasn’t dropped any primaries recently, but his NCAA bracket took a hit Friday when Connecticut, one of his picks for the finals, was upset by University of San Diego.
It’s unclear why McCain picked the fourth-seeded Connecticut to go so far, but it could have had something to do with his foreign traveling companion this week, Joe Lieberman, senator from Connecticut.
Yet even with the upset, McCain’s bracket stands at 19-9 as of this writing, only slightly behind the 19-8 bracket ratio of Sen. Barack Obama, one of McCain’s Democratic rivals for the presidency.
FOX News has been unable to determine whether either is playing in a round-weighted pool, but Obama should coast to an easy victory unless UCLA loses.
On the other hand, people have underestimated McCain’s ability to rebound before.
FOX News’ Aaron Bruns contributed to this report.

Wow! This is “political news coverage,” seriously??? There is so much going on right now in the political arena, and this is best that our “Home of the 2008 Election” can come up with????
This is highly dissapointing to me, but maybe it’s just because I picked Duke to take it all. :D.
McCain is a man with a keen mind. He walks softly and carries a BIG stick. Oboma and Clinton think they are up aganist a quiet individual. The man has a record of a fighter. Just waite until the time is right, McCain will show his worth by way of his goodness and experience. He has the knowledge and skill to show just how shallow Oboma and Clinton are.
Caleb, I must question your imaginative powers.
If you actually look at Obama’s NCAA picks (a good option considering the state of your imagination), you’ll see he picked them based on his knowledge of college ball.
For instance, He picked Oregon to lose to a team that appeared to have a superior defense and a better inside presence, yet he was visiting Oregon on the very day the Ducks were playing. An imaginative critic might expect Obama to pick Oregon . . . after all, they were only a 9 seed, their opposition was an 8 seed. And an Oregon pick would surely have endeared him to the Oregon public.
Not so.
Obama is a straight shooter.
lol Good one Caleb , It could be any team then considering most of them are black players. imagine that ! Typical White America allowing Black people play America ball ? !!!
Yes i laugh at Obama’s so called preachers sermons . For they call Us Typical White People racist , The shoes are on the other feet dudes . It is not White people that keep racist alive it is Blacks like Wright ,OBAMA, Jesse Jackson ,Al Sharpton just to name a few .
Easter’s sermon at OBAMA’s church showed that Moss is no better than Wright….. Just AWFUL!
I say if any of the Black people don’t like us Typical White People ,move else where …Simple as that !
fisrt of all, don’t say anything about president Obama. there is no reason for you to bring up anything that happened with rev. Wright. he has already cleared the air about the whole “typical white people” thing, so why continue criticizing? you are nieve if you believe that what rev. Wright said has anything to do with the way Obama feels about “white people.” so Caleb, grow up, and talk about somethinh you know about, like coloring or shapes…
What kind of moronic reporting is this?
obama is the best
wow..u call this news???
I think we have forgotten just how steady McCain is. Rebound is not the right word. Rise above is more like it.
I imagine Obama will pick whichever team has the least amount of “typical white people” or the one that Rev. Wright approves of.
