In Easter Sermon, New Obama Pastor Charges Rev. Wright Victim of ‘Lynching’

CHICAGO — The new pastor of Barack Obama’s church delivered a defiant defense of its retiring reverend Sunday, comparing media coverage of Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. to a modern-day lynching that resembles Jesus’ death at the hands of the Romans.
In a sunrise Easter sermon, Rev. Otis Moss III never mentioned Wright by name, but implied that his mentor, who has delivered sermons in which he likened the U.S. to the Ku Klux Klan and declared it damned for its “state-sponsored terrorism,” is facing the same challenges Jesus did.
“No one should start a ministry with lynching, no one should end their ministry with lynching,” Moss said.
“The lynching was national news. The RNN, the Roman News Network, was reporting it and NPR, National Publican Radio had it on the radio. The Jerusalem Post and the Palestine Times all wanted exclusives, they searched out the young ministers, showed up unannounced at their houses, tried to talk with their families, called up their friends, wanted to get a quote on how do you feel about the lynching?” he continued.
The criticism surrounding Wright has not softened the services at Trinity United Church of Christ, where Obama has been a congregant for 20 years. Instead, Moss defiantly defended their method of worship, referencing rap lyrics to make his point.
“If I was Ice Cube I’d say it a little differently — ‘You picked the wrong folk to mess with,’” Moss said to an enthusiastic congregation, standing up during much of the sermon, titled “How to Handle a Public Lynching.”
Wright’s sermons were criticized for casting the country as institutionally racist and Obama sharply condemned Wright’s remarks as racially divisive in a high-profile speech Tuesday, though the candidate would not renounce the pastor himself. Church officials said Wright, who is now on sabbatical and entering retirement after nearly 40 years of service with the church, was not attending any service Sunday.
Obama and his family were spending Easter on vacation and also were not attending services.
Though the church recently moved a once-prominent section on its Web site about the “Black Value System,” the congregation still describes itself as “unashamedly black and unapologetically Christian.” A plaque states this prominently behind the front desk.
The sermons Sunday, which kept references to Wright as a common thread, implied that the firestorm over Wright’s remarks has taken the church’s teachings out of context.
Bishop Vashti Murphy McKenzie, the first female bishop in the AME Church, also delivered a sermon, in which she talked about visionaries like King and Gandhi and “Jeremiah” (it was unclear whether she meant Wright), and argued that their words weren’t about “anger,” but about “a passion that demands confrontation.”
“The purveyors of information are trying to be judge and jury over prophetic utterances,” she said.
The church program handed out Sunday also included an essay called “Not on My Watch” from the Rev. Samuel B. McKinney of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Seattle. McKinney said he was “greatly disturbed” by the “media feeding frenzy that has tarnished everyone in the process.”
“Dr. Wright represents the best among us … An attack on this man of God is an attack on all those of the cloth who believe in the social Gospel of liberation. And I will not stand for it,” he wrote.
Moss issued several pleas to congregants to donate to what he called the “Resurrection Fund,” stressing that during this time of battle, money is needed to defend the church. He offered no additional specifics about the fund, telling churchgoers he didn’t want to get into it because Trinity is streaming the service live on the Web and the services are available for purchase on DVD.
He concluded with another analogy, saying, “In order to crucify him you’ve got to lift him up … he had more visibility on the cross than he did during his entire ministry.”
FOX News’ Jeff Goldblatt contributed to this report.
When considering the amazing backlash at Obamas religious life, and his pastors words… It seems now that Romney’s Mormon views really werent that bad! His Mormon views were a huge concern to many, frivolously, when truly his life and church has proven to be decent citizens in majority of cases.
I am wishing now that I went for the mormon, instead of the liberal with less christian-like actions. Boy was I wrong.
Congratulation to Jeremy Wright. As a white gay Catholic I am happy about pastor Wright ministry. We need more people like Pastor Wright to show us the way. When I see Pastor Wright I see a black Jesus in front of me. Bless this church and bless Pastor Wright and minister Farrakhan.
Boy, the Obama/Wright debacle continues……..
Put no other Gods before thee……………
keep this up and watch obama’s numbers tank
OMG, now you guys are getting desperate! Would you give it a rest! You are making all repubs look bad!
To compare a racist pastor and his racist statements to the willing death and sacrifice of the savior of ALL mankind (black, white, brown etc). Is ignorant and ludicrous in the extreme. Jesus Christ would have not agreed with Wright’s racism and fanaticism, Christ loved ALL men equally, Jeremiah Wright obviously does NOT love all ment equally.
Maybe Fox news reporters should attend Church more often. We know that God works in mysterious ways. Maybe you will learn something.
to jaun, jaun , fox and all fox contributors who distort the news.
this comment is from one of the TYPICAL white female, who will try to explain to you who do not know how to forgive and see the message. From the mind of a child, POLITICS is like an IDOL that GOD condems[ or you could use the language that rev. wright used].
so when you put politics over THE WORD OF GOD, you are not praising GOD and that is what he was condeming[or use the word that Rev. Wright used], you see he was not [Rev.Wright] damning the country but the IDOLISTS, as GOD did when he condemmed those in the BIBLE, who idolized the statue and not the WORD OF GOD. Even my grandchild sees the difference , and has on occaisions has had to to remind me of the problems in the past is not just not understanding, but also not trying to understand, It is easier to just not talk about it.
Will you stupid people stop harassing this church? Is that the only church in america that you can set your bigoted sights on.
You are a despecable news channel who does not desreve to be on air.
It was a shameful thing the media did this to a minister.
The man spent his life inside a Church and is ridiculed for it.
We used to have freedom of religion in this country. We used to have freedom of speech. Obama attends Church for his entire adult life and is tainted by a few hyperbolic sermons. Thank God, both of these men will rise above the hatred fueled by a blood thirsty media.
It is time the media stopped influencing and creating the news. The news “commentators” are the modern day lynch mob.
Can we please move on and get back to the more important issues. This is exactly why there should be separation of Church and State. Obama has made it clear the beliefs of some of his Church would not impact his political decisions, in fact they have probably made him a more rounded individual. Too bad Bush can’t say the same. I am not a committed Obama supporter but this whole story is really getting tired.
Wright was not “lynched” and he is not a sacrifice. He commited suicide! It appears the new guy will be no different than Wright. Hate speach laws should apply to blacks as well as whites don’t you think?
Incedently…Obama does not need to worry about a Republican “swift boat attacK’ He has his own personal swift boater.
This just gets deeper and deeper. Pure insanity at its best.
Time for Obama to change churches!
It sounds to me as if the new Rev. is trying to raise money for Obama’s campaign. Aren’t there rules against this? Shouldn’t Obama be held to the rules as he claims he should be?
I am no less than aghast at this confluence of negative reports you have been making on one candidate. As an independent voter, i feel you do an important job in ventilating how the candidates stand on the issue. However, i have observed a pattern of asymmetric reporting on Barack Obama. I want to know about John McCain and Hillary Clinton’s stances on the ISSUES not innuendos and certainly not your ususal articles laced with norrow , self-serving, “unfair and unbalanced” reporting. Please, give us the voters a perspective free from your injection of your renowned political leanings.
FOX is going way to far. I mean really. Are ya’ll going to report every single sermon made at Obama’s church? So what Wright was compared to the crucification of Jesus. Thats what Minister’s do! They compare our lives with Bibilcal stories. Duh!
According to Wright Obama is Jesus. Now the new guy thinks Wright is Jesus.
Will the real Jesus please stand up?
Shame on those who invest in racism and subscribe to the philosophy of victimization.
This a great headline story FOX!! Very newsworthy indeed!! NOT!! A blank page is more informative this .. something to think about!!
Totally outrageous. Sickening, and low.
Nice church you got there, Barack.
Looks like another leader at Trinity does not understand the concept of accepting responsibility.
There is no way to spin what happened with Wright. He is getting exactly what he deserves. Now that Wright and his ilk have been exposed I hope the government pulls the tax exempt status of this organization. I also hope the press conducts a thorough investigation into the background of Otis Moss III. Keep the pressue on and don’t let up. Continue to expose organizations like this throughout the land and hold their leaders accountable.
I think we need to take a serious look at ALL churches. These people are going way beyond thier right to free speech, bordering on inciting riots and hate. Which is not protected under the constitution.
I nn longer watch FOX and your story is an example why…..the US will never be able to dig its way past racism!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cable news in now becoming a joke…if there isn’t any news….create some!!!!
Is Rev. Moss trying to keep the agitation of Rev. Wrights’ words on “the front burner?” I hope not.
Well FOX you and the rest of the mainstream media did a great job of reporting Rev. Wright’s sermon out of context in effort to create national tension abd divide up our country. How patriotic was that journalism?
The full cermain in context that the media has over blown: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOdlnzkeoyQ
and I want bat an eye if this post don’t get approved.
Do not ever compare that preacher to Jesus. Jesus loves people. He shows us mercy and compassion time and time again. He judged righteously, but offers never-ending forgiveness. That preacher does not remotely resemble the life Jesus led on this earth.
It’s the media’s job to report the truth. Both sides of the story. Sorry if he doesn’t like being called out. Funny how he has no problem trying to call others out.
Good Lord,
Comparing Wright, the racist bigot that he is, to Jesus Christ is offensive to every Christian.
Moss’s statements are blasphemy! Jesus was the sacrificial lamb for God’s new order of a resurrected life, not a demagogue like Wright and Moss.
Well, it is nice to see this coming to light BEFORE he gets elected. Obama’s silence, for 20 years, shows his agreement. Coming out now and speaking against these comments rings hollow. If the people vote for him now, knowing his radical leanings, then the people get what they deserve
The Roman News Network….. Seems like a spot on description of Fox.
I hate this pastor stuff. Why is fox covering religion so much now?
Why are you not printing our comments. It is getting very annoying. You are starting to behave like CNN and that is not good for your bottom line.
Wake up FOX……..your readers want to be heard!
Increible. This so called reverend compares Wright to Jesus. What an embarassment. And, Obama doesn’t distant from this so called church? It’s very scarey to think that Obama could be our president in 10 months.
Our Easter mass was a lovely sermon on the Risen Lord…not politics.
I am proud of the pastor for standing up for his church and god’s house
Rev. Wright lynched himself!
This is a fantastic article, keep up the good work.
And why is this front page news, when we have far worst problems to solve in this country.
Seems Fox News is anti-American to me.
There is a lot of anger in the black community, and much of it is reflected in a rejection of “White” values. “Acting White” is one of these rejections. Unfortunately, many of these values would serve the black community well if they could get past the anger.
There is also a contradiction embedded in this anger. Some hate the very government they depend on to help them achieve equality, social services, jobs, etc.
A more positive message would serve young black people better. Black people here have achieved more advancement than in any other country in the world. Young black kids need a positive message, not hate speech.
Smackdown
THIS IS AMAZING THANK YOU REVEREND FROM A HILLARY CLINTON SUPPORTER YOUR KEEPING THE STORY ALIVE
Jesus preached love and compassion for fellow man, NOT divisiveness and hate speech.
Too bad the Pastor didn’t use the Easter service to preach the gospel - the perfect life, sacrificial death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and how all sinners who by faith repent and accept the forgiveness of sins that is in Christ alone. Probably one of many opportunities missed by a “church” gone astray.
Perhaps the most significant piece of this news story is that Obama was not attending worship services on the most holy of Christian observances.
The media did attack Rev. Wright unfairly and at length. And Fox “News” led the way. His comments were taken completely out of context. He was paraphrasing an appearance by Edward Peck on — you’ll never guess — Fox “News”.
Somehow we’ve gotten to a place in this country where the mere mention that America kills people or that the actions of our military have repercussions is seen as unpatriotic. Something is wrong here.
You are a disgraceful news organization. You have become conduits of hate material and are no different from the priest you are villifying. Shame on you.
Hatred in the name of Chirst is still hatred. It is wrong no matter who preaches it.
I’d leave a comment but can’t think of anything you’d print. Incredible.
These people need to stop. This man being compared to Jesus Christ ? This is outrageous. I am so sick of this Obama nonsense and this pastor who can take the lord’s name in Vain and curse America and White America and then they compare him to Jesus on the cross..
Wake Up America. This is what you will get with an OBAMA Presidency !!!
Please Hillary - blow them all away in the Pa primary and then all the other states left !!!
SICK OF OBAMA !!!!
We should judge a person by their actions and not their words. The fact that Obama choose Mr. Wright as his spiritual teacher for 20 years and included Mr. Wright in his election staff speaks well for Mr. Obama’s thinking and actions. Words are easy to manipulate and it is unlikely that Obama’s recent speech was written by Mr. Obama anyway. Mr. Obama has a powerful and power hungry staff including his wife that will do anything to get him elected to power.
But clearly this man Mr. Obama is not to be trusted with the future of our great country. And regardless that he is ‘fashionably black’ and that many of you have some desire to prove to yourself or to others that you are not prejudice and that you like ‘black people’ with an attitude of ‘See, I like black people, I’m voting for a black person,’ such an attitude of voting for a person because of their race is the definition of prejudice.
If Mr. Obama had a lighter skin tone, there is no way he would be tolerated in as much he is aligned with a violent religious group, and never says anything substantial. He is partly running on ‘a premise of guilt’ that if you don’t vote for him, it is because you don’t like his race. A manipulative premise that is certain to have disastrous consequences for America and the world, for we should have as our country’s leader someone with wisdom and knowledge, not someone hungry for power.
Out of all the 300 million people in the USA is Obama, with all his questionable baggage, really our best choice?
There is no man who could EVER be compared to the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a pity that the new pastor of Trinity does not know this.
Easter is the one holiday that the death, burial and reserection of Jesus Christ should be taught to the masses. Its sad that Rev Otis felt that defending Rev Wright from the pulpit was more worthy.
To compare Wright to Jesus in the same breath is ludicrous. Jesus never preached hate. Wright did nothing but preach hate and those who listen to his trash are no better than he is and may be worse because they can get up and leave the church. Wright’s views are imbedded in him. How can he leave his feelings? No. Wright is nothing but a racist hate monger of the worst sort because he purports to be a man of the cloth. I can only imagine the uproar if he was white and preaching to white folks!
Hate speech is hate speech, regardless of the color of the skin of the one delivering the message. The offensive message of Wright is not right, but, please by all means keep showing your true colors, so voters can make an informed decision.
For God sake; lets get real about this issue; or none issue.
Are you kidding me??? Even the die hard liberal left has to see this for what it is. You can’t sit in the congregation for 17 years and not hear this virulent hate speech. The guy who gave this sermon was not the Rev. Wright, it seems this school of thought is prevalent through out the church.
If Sen. Obama cannot stand up and denounce this thought, then he is no better than the high ranking leaders in the Middle East who sit idly by listening to the rant of the imams and mullahs calling for the destruction of western civilization.
Sounds to me like the wrong Rev. Wright was a red herring during the Easter sermon. It reads like the new Rev. is raising money for purposes unknown…..Furthermore, why does a very religeous person like Obama neglect one of the most important, time honored, religeous holidays ?
I am sure that no matter where the senator is vacationing that there is a church nearby to celebrate Easter. Maybe, like the senator’s voting record on such issues as abortion, not attending church on Easter should bring Obama’s religiousness into question.
When I first heard Mr. Wright speak, it was just an audio feed while I was driving. I thought it was just another politico with venomous, hate-filled rhetoric, not a Christian from the pulpit. I hope the IRS pulls the 501c3 right out from under that “church”, I mean, political social-gathering hall.
Could you imagine a White candidate for president surviving if he attended a church for 20 years and the pastor was a member of the KKK? And let’s also add to this hypothetical candidate a “typical Black person comment”.
What is so ludicrous about this whole situation is how racist White people are towards White people and how far these White Uncle Toms will go to apologies for racism by Blacks. It’s obvious that any White Candidate in Obamas shoes would have to resign and Obama should do the same.
“The Wright controversy seemed an unspoken thread to Sunday’s services, as the pastors repeatedly alluded to the matter without calling out Wright by name. And they defiantly defended their method of worship.”
… what do you mean by “defiantly?” Did you mean “vehemently?” Or is that too positive an adverb?
FOX News played their part in the lynching.
You should all be ashamed of your one-sided presentation of Wright. How about posting a fair and balanced sample of his 20 years of sermons, rather than repeating the same few inflammatory lines over and over and over?
FOX News is the central command for bigotry in America.
And nobody is suprised. It’s what America has come to expect from you.
I’ve heard that if you are in a hole, and don’t want to be, you shold stop digging. This guy clearly does not subscribe to that theory.
There always seems to be excuses for their regular hate-filled messages. Where is the accountability. Where is the accountability for those that chose to grow spiritualy under a miltant and terroristic view against America? This entire story is getting stranger by the week.
Obama’s refusal to wear the American Flag lapel is all making sense now. Who was he trying to please by that choice?
Where is Obama and his family vacationing at and with whom, Do we believe what he says?
We just don’t know what to think anymore. Once someone lies well you know where I am going with this…
If Obama hopes to be President of ALL the people I believe it is time he found a new church. It seems as the current pastor and the congregation all agree with Reverend Wright’s view of America!
How sad that the Easter sermon is about comparing Rev. Wright
to Jesus. Jesus preached of unity, brotherly love, showing respect
to others, and FORGIVENESS.
Whereas, the Rev. Wright, teaches HATE, RESENTMENT, GETTING
EVEN, DIVISION, and MORE HATE!
Easter is about one person, Jesus Christ, who conquered death,
and offered salvation to all who believe in Him.
To compare anyone to Jesus Christ is ludicrous. Our Lord Jesus
walked out of the tomb alive. Let’s see the Rev. Wright do that!!
Otis Moss III (and Jeremiah Wright) fall into two traps:
1. Mixing their religiously cultish rantings with anti-government politics, thereby not following the directive of Jesus Christ to give to Caesar that which is Caesar’s; and
2. Preaching not the infinite love, mercy, and forgiveness of Orthodox Christianity, but rather the finite hate of Satan.
The Moss-Wright theology is not theology at all but rather rank grandstanding.
To compare Wright to Jesus Christ, Moss necessarily blasphemes the Holy Ghost, by showing what is good and of God as something that is not good and not of God.
Moss’ latest rant will surely seal the deal for Hillary Clinton as the candidate, and whom John McCain could more easily overcome in an election, rather than the pseudo-charismatic Barrack Obama who is obviously exhilarated by controversy and the bright lights of the media camera that follow him.
Both Moss and Wright will be recorded historically as trivial players who racially spoiled their candidate’s chances and ultimately were “the deal breakers”.
These comments from the new pastor are as inflammatory and anti God as the last jerk that was there. What are these people trying to do…split this country. They are playing on the minds of the uneducated to spit forth their hateful ungodly venom. Any preacher that will use our God as a cuss word from the pulpit should be taken out of town on a rail I don’t care what color he is. This “church” should be CLOSED yesterday!
Though I think addressing the Obama-Wright connection is valid and subject to scrutiny, I am becoming distressed by the news coverage presented by FOX.
Due to the offensive and inexcusable comments made by Rev. Wright, we have been forced as a nation to reevaluate the racial divide that exists in this country. That being said, during this extremely sensitive period, is it necessary to continue to broadcast and sensationalize every comment made by every individual in association with any candidate?
What is the objective of headlining a story entitled, “In Easter Sermon, Trinity United Pastor Compares Rev. Wright to Jesus?” I would say the purpose of this article and others of the same vein is to further offend those who are already emotionally charged by the events presented last week and subsequently, yet indirectly, draw more of the negative attention to the Obama campaign.
Why is FOX News the first media source to cover the comments made by the Pastor of Trinity United (which will stir up more negativity and controversy), yet the last of the major news networks to cover the security breach of Obama’s passport the evening the story first broke?
When are we really going to be fair and balanced?
Good thing he doesn’t work for The Golf Channel!
WHAT A DISGRACE!!!! This man should never be compared to Christ. What he has been through is not even remotely comparative to what Jesus went through. First and foremost because Jesus was and innocent man. Jeremiah Wright brought this on himself with his hateful, vindictive and destructive words.
WHAT A DISGRACE TO COMPARE HIM TO JESUS!!
I feel that this Church’s view is doing major harm to the true “Christians” in the world. Christians do not hate others but should show love towards all. Mr. Wright is not how a true christian should act. We are to be lights in this world of darkness. Mr. Wright is not a light in this world. He is a false prohet.
I feel that comparing the Rev. Wright to Jesus is a sin in itself. Their struggles have no comparison in that Jesus was freeing us from our sins and Rev. Wright was spewing racial hatred. To compare their suffering and lynching is absurd. Jesus loved all people and Rev. Wright hates many.
So now if you play Reverend Wright’s own videos, the very same videos his church sells on its web site, then you are guilty of “lynching”.
And this from the new pastor of the church attended by Mr. Obama for over 20 years during which time he never heard anything that would motivate him to try to find another flock to join.
So what happens if this guy become president?
Will it be a hate crime to post up videos of Obama making racist comments like referring to his grandmother as “a typical white person”?
Has the Democratic party ever produced a more radical liberal, racist, anti-American presidential candidate than Barack Obama?
Wright uses the Lord’s name in vain to dam America, calls America vile names, says its the USA who is infected blacks with AIDS and Dam’s America. And it is the fault of the press????
If Wrights church, and I will not use Rev, wants to see racisium all theey need to do is look in the mirrior.
Jesus got very angry with the money changers at the temple. This anger was not at one race oppressing another, one class oppressing another, one set of believers oppressing another. It was about man’s disregard for the sanctity of His Father’s house. It was about our trivializing our Creator. It was about our setting ourselves above our Creator. We want to live a Christ-like life. But, comparing one to Jesus approaches trivializing our Creator. I do not see anything in Reverend Wright that makes me think of my Creator
These folks just don’t seem to wise up! None of this nonsense has anything to do with Jesus and the Christian faith. Truth speaks in the marketplace and those who lie are made evident by their own stupidity - which is what has just transpired. To liken this buffoon to anyone in history who has made worthwhile contributions is foolishness…
“If I was Ice Cube I’d say it a little differently — You picked the wrong folk to mess with,” Moss said to an enthusiastic congregation, standing up during much of the sermon.
It looks like Moss is no different than Wright. Wonder what Obama’s comments will be? But to compare Wright with Jesus, now that’s a stretch!!!!
A missed opportunity. The new Pastor missed the chance to admit the wrong doing by the previous pastor by simply saying this church will no longer invite or preach hate. Instead he used what happen to ask for money to defend the ludicrous actions of the previous pastor.
I can only hope that Obama is as disgusted by this as I am. If he stays silent for this, its another nail in his campaign. I wonder what he will say.
Comparing Jeremiah Wright to Jesus because of this so called lynching is blasphemy. This though is not surprising, because the former pastor broke the 2nd Commandment from the pulpit. Just more of the same
Don Costello
I’m glad that the Jesus I know spoke these words after being accused and beaten and then sent to the cross, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.” That’s one of the many beautiful things he said that makes him worthy of glory and honor.
It just keeps getting better.
I hope Bill Cosby issues a public statement about this controversy. I don’t think he would agree with the “sermons” in this church.
Rev. Wright like Jesus??? Jesus preached forgiveness and love. Rev. Wright preaches hate and division.
It is to bad that this pastor uses Jesus names in the same way Jesus died on the cross. They are in no way in a billions miles alike or even come close to each other.
When Jesus preached love and peace. Well the other preaches more seperation and discontent and bias. Even when Jesus died on the cross, he even love those that hate him.And I though churches where to bring people together, not divide them more.
Seems another reason to divide whites and blacks. You really think this is the type of sermon that Jesus would of wanted. It is ridiculous that whenever a white person says something about another race he it racist but whenever a black says something about whites he is just sticking up for himself. Talk about a double standard.
The only lynching being done, is that of Barack Obama by Pastor Otis Moss of Trinity United Church of Christ. All this sermon does is give fodder to those who will not let the issue of Pastor Wrights comments from the pulpit die!!
The nails being driven from this church are into the chance of Obama being elected President of the United States.
Obama is being betrayed by the Judas of those who can’t see the harm they do this man by their own self pontificating!!
Why is it noone has interviewed the secret service agents or checked their logs to see if Barack was in attendance at the sermons given by Wright? They could greatly help diffuse this. However if he was in attendance and it can be proven it could make the swiftboating of Kerry look like amateur hour in the general election.
More racist comments from Obama’s church. Perhaps Obama has more to say about what the horrible “typical white people” think? To think so many Americans are dumb enough to elect Obama as one of the nominees. How embarrassing for this country. And the majority of his supporters come from the “I’m Special” generation of uneducated youth who feel they are entitled since they are so so special - we were better off when this voting demographic stayed home.
Sounds like the new psuedo pastor is as big of a racist and anti-christian as the last. Jesus was NOT black. Jesus was jewish. Jewish is white. Is that a racist comment? No, it’s a FACT. Jesus would never condone terrorism like the Racist Rev. Wrong. He is an instigator and feeds hatred to anyone not wise enough to know better. Just look at one of his sheep Obama. One of the biggest hypocrites to ever run for office. A man raised by a white woman, who attended top colleges. A man who is ashamed of the country which made him what he is today. Why do democrats even attend church? They openly support the ACLU which is the biggest enemy of the Judeo/Christian values. Obama, his church, and anyone else who supports the democrats should all stay home on Sundays. The democrats and ACLU have NO tolerance for any religion. It seems to me, they are the true Nazis.
How unfortunate that such an oppurtunity was lost to tell about the miracle Resurrection of Christ and what that means for each human that walks on this earth. Rather the time was used to point to a man and not the Man. I ask you on this day the same question Jesus asked Mary when she wept in the garden that Sunday morning so long ago, “Whom do you seek? She had come looking for his body and was deep in sorrow. But when he called her by name she saw a risen Savior and called him “Master” She came seeking a Crucified Christ to finsih His burial in sorrow and was presented with a Resurrected Christ and her sorrow and her life was changed from that moment on. So who do you seek? That is the important message for today and everyday. But even more so on this day that we celibrate His Resurrection. Lets not clutter it up with the things of this world, but conentrate on the things of God. On the miriacle of salvation that he has freely given to all that will belive. So once again I ask,
“Whom do you seek?
THANK YOU so very much for showing Wright’s successor, Rev. Moss, spew his racist rant.
Rev. Moss continues in the Wright tradition.
Now what are the two-faced Obamas going to say about Moss?
Blame us white folks as usual.
Keep up the GREAT WORK!!!
What ever happened in this church, to the death and ressurection of our Lord and Savior, for the forgiveness of our sins. I haven’t heard it. This so called, socal gospel (small g) is a crock.
seems to me the chruch, teaches racism.
Funny how on his first Easter Sermon Rev. Moss steps to the pulpit and confirms what we have learned about Senator Obama’s choice of worship for the last 20 years. Hate and separation of our two races. Good Friday might have been the proper place for this sermon if at all but today it should have been about Christ, and our savior, not about Wight. And isn’t it funny that Obama was conviently missing today, but when he does come back he will know that the same kind of Minister will continue to take him to the same direction as the last. If he does go back and attend I guess we will really know the canidate as if we already don’t.
God help us if a man like OBama makes to to the position of Commander and Chief. Can we trust that O Bama really likes and admires and respects the office of the Presidency and our Country? I am ashamed of O Bama and ashamed of his church church, an
