Wake up America!! We do need senator Mccain for president!! As for the the other presidential candidates, they have talked a bout what they will do as president, really, they cannot do anything, all they can do it to suggest it to the senate and house... And then that's why I think senator Mccain is your best candidate for president of the United States!!!.. Thank you.

McCain has humbled himself and never repeated the behaviour, he's acknowledged his poor judgment in being involved with Keating in his early senatorial career.

Obama however, has never acknowledged his poor judgment in being involved with a racist pastor for 20 years, a domestic terrorist in Ayers and Tony Rezko. He still maintains the same relationships with all three.

Clintons?...well they've admitted to nothing.

Smart, the reason that Hillary's involvement in the Whitewater and cattle futures scandals haven't taught her a lesson is because she refuses to admit to any wrongdoing. She is too concerned about her own image and her own political gain than for following the rules of law.

While I may not be JM's biggest fan, he is light-years better than either of the Dem's
offerings! Surely the American people will elect him even though he's a Republican.

Why is Fox News even running this stupid story? It's ancient history as far as I'm concerned. As a Conservative, we've got to focus on beating Clinton or Obama and not letting Socialism take over America.

I'm not a McCain fan, his involvement with the Keating 5 aside, I don't think a Military President is what is needed right now. But I do applaud his attempts to do the right thing by limiting lobbyists' involvement with senators (at least 5 Republicans have resigned their offices or declared they won't run again - probably because McCain has taken away their ability to make so much extra money on the side).

But my main beef is: Why do these rich guys, like Keating keep getting off so easy? We need legislation that allows the law to go after their bankbooks when they cheat & lie to the American Public...especially vulnerable people like the elderly!

Keating should have had to pay restitution, not only to the Government, but also to the US Citizens he swindled! He lives a life of luxury, while his thefts have left thousands to depend upon a dwindling supply of SS money. YES! THE MIDDLE CLASS PICKS UP THE BILL, AGAIN! Keating and all those crooks involved in this type of crime should have to pay fines right up to their net worth. Otherwise, these kinds of crimes will continue. ALSO, their ill-gotten gaines should be frozen so it can't help them while they try to defend their sorry behinds in court!

nice try at spin, but being involved in a serious financial scandal can hardly be painted as a good thing. if it is, then all scandals are good, and billary's involvment in the whitewater scandal taught her a lesson too, and as such helps her credentials immensely.
