Clinton Insists Democratic Race Is ‘Long Way’ From Over, Looks Toward Convention

The Democratic race is a “long way from being over,” Hillary Clinton told FOX News on Wednesday, and she has no qualms about taking the primary fight all the way to the convention floor.

In a sit-down interview with FOX News’ Greta Van Susteren, which aired Wednesday night, Clinton said not to write her candidacy’s obituary yet, even though she’s trailing Barack Obama by 157 pledged delegates with opportunities dwindling to make up that gap.

“Sixty-two percent said let it go on,” Clinton said, referring to a new Rasmussen survey that found that portion of Democrats aren’t ready for either candidate to leave the race. “That is what people are telling me. That is what we have to do. Let the voters have a chance to be heard. Nobody should be writing obituaries on this race, because it is a long way from being over.”

The Democratic race has taken unexpected twists and turns in the last two weeks, from the controversy over Obama’s long-time pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. to criticism of Clinton’s claims that she landed in Bosnia in 1996 under sniper fire.

But neither candidate is expected to lock down the pledged delegates needed to clinch the nomination before the August convention. And although Democratic leaders are scrambling to avoid a prolonged fight that could give GOP nominee-in-waiting John McCain a decided advantage, Clinton said Wednesday there are too many ifs for the matter to be settled yet.

“Well this is a really close election. Despite what some might say, it is a very close election in the popular vote and in the delegates,” she said. “We have 10 contests ahead of us, plus, don’t forget, Florida and Michigan. You know, I keep beating this drum … millions of people are going to be voting in the next three months, and I hope that will include Florida and Michigan.”

Clinton’s campaign has argued for seating the Michigan and Florida delegations, which were stripped after those states held early primaries in violation of party rules. Recent efforts to hold re-votes in those states have fallen through.

Clinton won both of those states’ primaries in January, though none of the candidates campaigned. Obama was not even on the ballot in Michigan.

Clinton said, barring a resolution on Florida and Michigan, the fight goes to convention.

“You know, you can always go to the convention. That’s what credential fights are for,” she said. “Let’s have the Democratic party go on record against seating the Michigan and Florida delegations three months before the general election? I don’t think that will happen. I think they will be seated. So that’s where we’re headed if we don’t get this worked out.”

Clinton also has weighed in this week on the controversy over Wright, whose anti-U.S. sermons have raised questions about Obama’s judgment in choosing his associates. Clinton said she would have left Wright’s church.

“I was asked point blank yesterday what I would have done had I been in a position where someone was making those kinds of comments, and I said I would have left,” she told FOX News on Wednesday. “I’ve spoken out against all kinds of words that I thought were inappropriate. … You know, you don’t get to pick your family, but you do get to pick the church or synagogue you attend.”

Obama’s campaign on Tuesday blasted Clinton for trying wedge her way out of the fallout over her Bosnia claims by breaking her silence on Wright. Obama said Wednesday that he already has condemned Wright’s most offensive statements, and “we can’t afford to be distracted” from the real issues in the election.

Likewise, when Clinton was asked Wednesday about the Bosnia flap, she said that’s not what voters care about.

“I’m a human being. I made a mistake and owned up to it,” she said. “But that’s not what people talk to me about. When I’m out campaigning … people want to talk about the economy and health care, and they want to know what are you going to do to get fix our country and get it back on track, and help my family and me.

“And that what I’m really engaged in. Because, you know, when you’ve been on a campaign for 14 months there’s all kinds of other distractions, but at the end of the day this is a hiring decision,” she said.

It is a lonf way from being over! Let the candidates continue until everyone including Michigan’s and Florida’s delegates count.

If Obama wins the Dem Nomination, then we will have a President John McCain. Let’s face it, a guy who attends a black liberation church and whose mentor/pastor for 20 years has been the infamous, inflammatory, Anti-American, Anti-Semitic Jeremiah Wright is not electable.

Obama’s speech was too little too late. Trinity and Jeremiah Wright represent the past, and they keep that past well fed and very much alive. Obama’s rhetoric of hope/change won’t heal the divisiveness perpetuated by an unrepentant wrong Wright. Obama miscalculated in his cynical weighing of use versus risk in his continued relationship with Trinity and Wright. He should have forcefully confronted the issue long ago!

Obama cannot be president of all the people but Hillary Clinton or John McCain can. :)

How about a decision to divide the delegates from both Florida and Michigan in half and awarded to each candidate? This would make the goal of reaching 2,021 pledged delegates possible.

Comment by Morpheum

She obviously hasn’t seen the latest Wall Street Journal poll. She has the highest negative rating of any candidate.

Stick a fork in her and turn her over. She’s done!

Hillary those windmills are not towering giants!

There is no way you can win.

Wake Up!

I am from Kentucky and I am just infuriated with ALL the news stations and political pundits and commentators that keep asking the question “should Hillary get out of the race for the good of the party?” First of all, this race is CLOSE - you all seem to equate it to the McCain-Huckabee situation and this is far from that. Senator Clinton is right - there are still quite a few primaries (Kentucky is one of them) that need to play out, there are millions of voters out there who would like to be heard (I’m one of them) and I’m sick to death with the media constantly raising this question as if the rest of us and our votes don’t matter at all. Stop it! By the way, I wonder if Senator Obama would actually have all those pledge delegates if those previous caucuses and primaries would have been held AFTER the Reverend Wright story came out. I guess we’ll never know, but I’ll just bet the super delegates are wondering the same thing. Don’t forget about what the numbers of pledge delegates would be to each candidate if Michigan and Florida had done a proper primary or even a re-vote. You can say these states don’t matter now, but they sure will matter in the general election. Again, another thing the super delegates are probably mulling over.

Even if Hillary embellished her Bosnian experience, that in no way compares to Obama’s condoning 20 years of Wright’s hate speech!

She made a mistake?? She made a calculated lie about dodging sniper fire!! How do you make a mistake about remembering that or not??

I think a great book title that would sum up the democratic primary this year would be “the audacity of clinton and the death of hope for a real change”. Clinton supporters want more of the same so of course they would vote for McCain. Is that really a surprize?

There she goes again…me, me, me. Perhaps she should change her name from Hillary to Mimi, ’cause it’s all about “me”.
I didn’t think I could like her any less, but she really is reaching new lows.

That’s right Hillary. We don’t want a nominee for 48 states - we want a nominee for all 50. That will represent the true will of the people. Anything less than that will not be a legtimate candidate.
Don’t listen to the good ole boys (Ted, Kerry, & Richardson) - there are only two logical choices you or McCain. Not everyone in the country is a left wing nutcase like they are and can tolerate Reverand Wright and Obama’s anti-American wife in the white house. The contest isn’t over until all 50 states voices are heard!!!!! Go Hillary!!!!!!

Doesn’t this Bosnia bust go to her credibility or lack there of. She wants respect but what respect does she warrant. Not even her own husband respects her. If he did he wouldn’t have been w/Monica while Hill was in the white house. I look forward to watching her destroy the Dem party.

Comment by Larry

The public does care whether a candidate is an out and out liar, and caught on camera doing so, her preception that that the public does not reflcts her own values.

Comment by Freddy

The Bosnia issue is not a mistake mammy; its more like a misstatement and clear lies telling. She like loosing it all thats why she’s trying to finish with Obama and destroy the democratic party. I voted for her in the primary but not willing to do so if she’s nominated. Fox news flaming the stuff to raise her since she’s become easier to handle by Mccain than Obama

I agree with Clinton—-I have not had a chance to vote yet—should I not get a chance to vote?
Where were all those people at when Clinton was up—I do not remember any of them asking Obama to drop out to save the party.
Shoo-B-Do—–the party is alreay destroyed—it just has not droped over yet.

Look at the polls–if the 90 wonder scrip reader(that’s Obama) wins we will see a big shift in the dem party voting to McCain.

Go Hillary
or
Go McCain

Comment by MOLLY

GO HILLARY !!!!
Keep Up The Good Fight - you CAN WIN!!!!
Obama will never win with his radical, anti-American pastors who he will look to for advice and mentor - America will never let this happen.
The race is not over - let all the states vote and count FL & MI - Hillary can win.
Funny - why not tell Obama to get out??? He cannot win without the superdelegates either!
Stop jumping on Hillary for every thing she says/does. Neither one of them can get to the magic number of delegates to get the nomination - so why should SHE get out??????
Let the Race Go On - Best Person WINS!

Comment by clm

Hillary needs to stay in this until the nomination is made. It is just too close to call with the votes counted and not yet counted but should be if Obama wants to play fair.

The Florida votes should be counted “as is” with no reduction or splitting. Hillary earned 50 percent of the Florida votes to 33 percent for Obama. If this does not occur then the superdelegates should compenate for these votes not being counted. Hillary would close the popular vote gap by over 288,000 as well.

Michigan is more complex. Splitting evenly is not fair as Hillary earned 55 percent to 40 percent uncommitted. Obama would still have an unfair advantage if he were to get all 40 percent unless somehow it could be determined how many votes Edwards may have out of the 40 percent. If these votes do not count then the superdelegates should compensate accordingly. Hillary would close the popular vote gap by at least another 90,000. If Obama and Edwards split the 40 percent uncommited votes then the gap would close by over 209,000. I think a poll showing how Obama, Edwards and Richardson were doing in Michigan at the time of the primary should determine how the uncommitted votes are split so that everyone is treated fairly. The alternative is to do a revote in Michigan. I wonder if the uncommitted wrote in any names to help sort this mess out. Investigative reporting please!

Comment by Bill from Illinois

I for one am calling for Hillary Clinton to save the party and withdraw from the race.
There is no way she can win She is totally splitting the Democratic party.
She herself is playing right into the hands of the Republican Party and John McCain who will win by a land slide if she is nominated.
Hillary withdraw and save the Party.

Hilliary says voters don’t care about the Bosnia mistatement….don’t put your words in my mouth. As a voter I care about someone who lies to make herself look good. Oh I forgot Hilliary never lies; she misspeaks (give me a break). She is typical of any politician who is a lawyer by trade. Mrs Clinton you won’t get my vote.

Hillary Clinton is the best prepared candidate to lead this country out of the economic slide we are currently experiencing.

Judgement, judgement, judgement, you don’t hear Obama talk much these days about his ‘good judgement’ do you?

He spent 20 years listening and condoning, by his silence (or so he says) the rantings of his ‘mentor and spiritual advisors’.

20 years of Anti American, United States of KKK America trash and now he wants us to put him in the highest office of our great country!

I think not!

If nObama is the democratic nominee, I will not only vote for McCain, I will actively campaign for him.

nObama, no way. Not now, not ever!

Go Hillary! Throw the kitchen sink at the bum and maybe he will show some good judgement and get out of the race so we can win the White House.

Hummm. The White House…I wonder, does nObama find that racist?

Don’t give up Hillary! You may not have enough delegates right now to clinch the nomination, but then again, neither does your opponent! What gives him the right to tell you to drop out? Apparently, he doesn’t think that being President of the United States is worth working for - it has to be handed to him on a silver platter! You are a worker, a fighter, a problem solver, and the right woman for the job! HILLARY ‘08!

Comment by Angie_the typical

Speech I would like to hear from Hillary:

I want to talk to the American people from the heart. I have traveled the country and I have listened to your stories, your experiences, and your struggles. I hear your voices. Your voices describing the hardships and struggles you face today ring in my ear. But along with your words, something else comes through just as clearly, your spirit of determination and optimism for a better tomorrow. Right now, people all across our nation are hurting. Millions of Americans are struggling and feel ignored by their government. America is hurt when their elected officials respond to the collective voice of the nation with “so.” At a time when it would be easy to give up or become indifferent, the American people continue to believe in the possibility of a better tomorrow. Even when one of our nation’s central characteristics, diversity, threatens to become a source of division, it is the spirit of the American people that will one day allow us to embrace the dialogue, learn from our different experiences, from each other, and move toward becoming a stronger nation. Like most Americans, I can envision a brighter future, one in which we start celebrating, instead of tolerating, our differences. One in which no one diminishes another’s cultural experience by characterizing them as “typical” for their race, White, Black, Hispanic. We can do better than that. I believe that the struggles we face today regarding diversity may well become the catalyst that helps us to one day come to appreciate our diversity for what it really is, one of our nation’s primary strengths. Although there is some focus on our differences right now, we remain connected. We are Americans. There are so many people in the world that can only imagine living in a society with the freedoms we enjoy. It is truly a blessing to be able to say that not only have I been blessed to stand with the people of the greatest nation on earth, but also I have been given the opportunity to stand up for the greatest people on earth. When I stand to pledge my allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, I pledge my allegiance with all of my heart. I pledge my allegiance to America, to you, the American people. I continue to battle for the opportunity to stand up for the people of this country who have not been heard by our current administration.

I want to be candid. I have made some mistakes; consequently, I have learned some valuable lessons. I recently learned the lesson that I should not try to make events seem more interesting, like my trip to Bosnia. I was wrong and I apologize. I have also learned that when you are wrong, it is important to accept responsibility and try to correct your mistake. I think equally important to accepting responsibility for our missteps, mistakes, or wrong behavior, is showing a clear commitment to changing for the better and reject in certain terms the wrong we have done or have been associated with.

I will also be candid and tell you that I have put my heart into this campaign. In presenting my resume to the American people, I have been honest about who I am. I have been honest about my views, my values, and my plans. Most of my adult life has been lived in the public eye and I think America feels fairly comfortable that they know me as a person. I have worked hard to lay out detailed strategies that I believe are the best to offer in moving this country in a more positive direction. If you can give me a chance, I solemnly promise that I will be open, always listen to America’s voice, and work my heart out to get America back on the right path.

“Likewise, when Clinton was asked Wednesday about the Bosnia flap, she said that’s not what voters care about.”

That’s not right. Voters DO care about a presidential candidate who professes to be a foreign relations expert because of her years as first lady and tries to back it up with lies. Not a single case of exaggeration, but several instances. On this subject alone.

I didn’t trust Bill when he looked America in the eyes and lied about ‘that woman’. I don’t trust Hillary for the same reason. Liars make bad presidents. Period.

Comment by robert frazier

No Hillary people are asking about the very thing you based your entire campaign on Experience!!! You told that lie then when a comedian caught you in the lie you discredited him and told it again! you did not misspeak. You have run on your experience as first lady and your first test on Bosnia(which YOU said was factual) turned out to be a compete lie.

If you win the nomination I would never in a million years vote for you, i would not vote for you if you were running for dog catcher of New Orleans….

Go Obama!

Clinton will do whatever it takes to force a victory in her favor. She will use the court system like Bush did to “win”. She will not do it for the good of the party or the country, but for purely her selfish reasons.

She will harm this party more than she will ever admit.

Please Hillary, for the Love of God and the Democratic Party, drop out and unite us.

Clinton needs to get out of the race…..she is puling the dems apart, and she is happy to do it….. It is always about her……Obama is for the people, he can unite our country…when he wins he will be able to pull all dems together, she is not capable of doing that…. come on she is willing to fight at the convention…..in front of all the country to see….. what a shame, she can’t be trusted, if she is willing to fight her own party what will she do for the country…

Comment by Wince

Sen. Clinton is determined, I’ll give her that. When most candidates would have thrown in the towel, Sen. Clinton fights on. If Sen. Clinton can win Pennsylvania and get the Florida and Michigan delegates seated, she probably pulls even with, or passes, Sen. Obama. Democrats, the party who complains loudly about not counting all the votes, is now the party who won’t count two of the most populated states in the country.

While Sen. Clinton may have “jumped the shark” with her comments about her trip to Bosnia, but she soldiers on. Of course Sen. Obama is also the walking wounded. His association with Rev. Wright will haunt him through the rest of his campaign. Many voters don’t acccept his explaination about Rev. Wright and won’t vote for him. All the harping by many black “leaders” about white oppression is wearing thin. The only people oppressing the black community are the black “leaders” who make their living by creating discontent within the black community. Many of Rev. Wright’s statements are disgraceful lies, and he knows it. There is one thing I agree with Sen. Clinton on, Rev. Wright wouldn’t be my paster either. I’m sure Sen. Obama’s campaign is working behind the scenes to keep Rev. Wright out of the spotlight. All the recent cancellations of appearences by Rev. Wright probably can be traced back to Sen. Obama’s campaign.

Still as divisive as ever, Hillary is going to ruin the chances of the Democrats taking the White House. This voter, an independent ready for change, is more than ready for her to quit. I will vote for McCain if she somehow steals this nomination. She is not deserving of it.

Comment by Lavaughn Elder

Hillary has won the states that have to be won for the Democrats in the general election. Most of the states that Obama has won in the democratic primary will go to McCain in the general election. After Obama’s continued support of pastor Wright, it tells me that Obama’s veiw of white americans is most likely the same. Hillary should be the selection of the delegates and should absolutely continue the race.

Comment by american veteran

I agree, why should she quit??… I am a repub who did vote for her… and frankly I would support her in any way I can….

compared to Obama and his anti-american preacher and “finally proud of america” wife, Hillary was an easy choice…

Sen. Clinton STAY IN THE RACE….

Who knows what other secrets come spilling from Obama’s closet??

( I’m sure FOXNEWS has them )….

Comment by Dave Ray

I think she should fight on. She tells amusing stories and keeps the race interesting. Senator Obama , I am sure would like it over. I would like to see it go all the way to the convention and have it out on the convention floor. We have not had a good political convention in a long time. this one should be interesting. Senator Obama will be a formidable opponent. It will be better than survivor, everybody will be watching it. The winner will have a lot of recognition. It will make it hard for McCain to be heard, because he is kind of a quiet reserved individual, seems to think a lot before he speaks. He is not all that interesting to watch. They are fun to watch. All McCain will be able to do is go around the country, raise money, talk about his issues and appear to be above the fight. People don`t want that. They want to see the fur fly. Hillary needs to pull out all the stops, take off the gloves and go for it.

Comment by George P

She says this is about hiring someone to be president, well why does she think she deserves the job when she has lied on her resume?
Experience is not something left to the imagination, but something you can verify, and she has not shown any verifiable experience although she claims to have at least 35 years worth.
Her job application would have been thrown out by now.
No job for liars.

Hillary will restore our standing at home and abroad. I cannot trust Obama and neither should the rest of America. Why should she give up? Are you people losing your minds? I will not vote for him if, he would manage to steal the election, with the aid of the MSM. Yesterday, Hillary weighed in on the Wright issue. Contrary to the Obamamainiacs and many of the MSM pundits this is not sinking to low tactics. That was Obama’s doings. Why shouldn’t Hillary comment on this issue? You can bet this alone has nearly eliminated Obama’s chance to win in November. Remember, he knee-capped himself with the Wright thing by “sitting in the pews for 20 years”, etc. If, and that is a big “IF”, Obama is identified as the nominee the Repulicans will immediately start a full scale assult on this issue and more of the same McCain will win in a landslide. Therefore, in my humble opinion, Hillary better do everything she can to get the nomination or we the democrats are doomed again in November. So MSM, if Sen. Obama isn’t able to get our nomination because he continues to get an all but free pass from you guys then doesn’t it behoove “US” to find that out now, before it is too late? Or do some of the good ole’ boys in the MSM, RNC, and possibly the DNC fear a female as “Commander in Chief” so badly that your willing to concede the general election to anyone, as long as it’s not Hillary? America really needs her skill and expertise. She is the best choice we have to restore our standing at home and abroad. I am far from alone in that opinion. Take a look at her position papers, plans, and solutions for America. Then, and only then, can you decide that she is right not Wright for America. You will vote Hillary once you look at the facts. I know I am. Thank you for considering America first. Finally, I knew the extremely nasty comments would start about Bosnia by the MSM. So, for my take call it spin, exaggeration, embellishing, we all do it. It’s not [W]right but, politicians particularly spin. Unfortunately for Hillary the MSM is going to seize on every opportunity to downgrade her at every turn and she should know that. Stupid thing to do but, in a man’s world, we women have to make ourselves more masculine than we are and in my mind & probably hers too, hyping of the war zone would do that for you guys. Sexism is far more prevalent in America, in my opinion, than racism and we women do what we must to survive.

Hillary lies - Hillary cheats, but as a conservative and as a Republican, I love the cat and dog fight with Obama. They continue to beat each other up, expose each others weaknesses (not that this takes a lot) and are the best thing to happen to the conservatives and Republicans in many years.

It looks like the democrats are rapidly putting voters in a position where either candidate you vote for is going to make you feel like you are picking the lesser of two losers….most of the serious dirt is still to be dug out from under the rug before November….at the rate they are going it looks like another Republican 4 years…then maybe Hillery..

Hillary Clinton is nothing but a liar, she learned from her husband, Bill.

Hillary would not know the truth if it was in front of her in BOLD letters.

If she thinks she can overturn the penalty imposed on Michigan and Florida for having early primary elections, she is either totally stupid or totally crooked, Maybe she is both.

What happened to the way the primary election used to be 30 or 40 years ago, there were never problems like this, or maybe it’s just Clintonism.

Too often HRC has lied. It seems both she and WJC have gotten so used to fabrications that neither of them can ever admit lying, as they don’t see it even when the most common of us do. The lying happened when the two were in the White House the first time around. I have no confidence in HRC’s ability to be honest with the American public when tough situations arise should she be president. An occasional flub — maybe; but hers is a habit.

The election is a long ways away and getting more painful to watch everyday. Bill Clinton says “Let’s argue?” Apparently Hillary wants to lose? Her supporters will start to wonder if the only way she can win is by using negatives, and that will backfire. I have sometimes been disappointed in Obama’s unecessary cutting remarks too - it is not the campaign approach he espouses.

With a two person campaign (actually three with Chelsea) against Obama there is a greater chance that there will be negatives coming from the Clinton campaign because the media is watching all three of them so closely.

I would like to see Florida and Michigan vote because I believe that the races would be VERY close. It would not be the same as the first round. They do deserve to be heard.

I strongly believe that the Wright sermon will end up being a great plus for Obama because people are now starting to hear the whole sermon and understand WHY those incendiary remarks were made. They will eventually understand Obama’s comments when he said that he learned about Christ there, that he learned about reaching out to others there, that he learned about forgiveness there. For Hillary to have made her comment was a diversion, nothing more, nothing less.

As for the delegates - we’ll see!

Spin This Hillary

As expected, one of the two major Democratic candidates saw a downturn in the latest NBC/WSJ poll, but it’s not the candidate that you think. Hillary Clinton is sporting the lowest personal ratings of the campaign. Moreover, her 37 percent positive rating is the lowest the NBC/WSJ poll has recorded since March 2001, two months after she was elected to the U.S. Senate from New York.

I for one am praying that Mrs. Clinton will stay in the race until the end.
What she said on the war was a lie. But you put that up to the lie that Obama said about not hearing his preacher talk like he did about America, White’s and Clinton they just don’t compare. I take she lie any day over his, at least it wasn’t degrading our country and the white’s. America had better wake up in a hurry before it’s to late.

Yeah, Hillary will listen to the people, 62% it says. Thats only because thats what she likes. If 62% told her to leave, she wouldn’t listen. This whole family just tears me up! Bill running amok out there saying whatever he wants and pissing off people. Chelsea telling people “Thats none of your business” when asked about her family, Hillary lying through her teeth and saying people don’t care about that. Does she think we’re really that stupid?

I have to agree with Hillary on this one I really do not care what happened in 1996 while she visited Bosnia, I am concerned about the shape our nation is in and what she is going to do to help get it back on the right tract. Obama says he is about change but I have not seen anything in his voting as a Senator that shows he has lead or changed anything, so why should I beleive he will change anything while in the White House. As for Mr. Wrights comments and Obamas response, I can not help but wonder if he had heard these types of statements and knew his back ground and why he felt this way, why did he not fight the racism in his own church. I know that racism is a problem in the United States but I do not think that it has anything to do with this campaign and it was Obamas side that brought it up…. Makes you think doesn’t it.

– Likewise, when Clinton was asked Wednesday about the Bosnia flap, she said that’s not what voters care about.

“I’m a human being. I made a mistake and owned up to it,” –

I care about it. It was not a “mistake” - either Clinton is delusional or she is a liar. Either way I don’t want her as my president!

I agree with Hillary, She is really just answering a question. Obama, I ‘m quite sure would do the same thing given, the situation. I just don’t just think Obama is quite ready to lead America at this point.

I beleive that Hillary Clinton does not have her parties best interest in mind. I think she is out for herself and should consider stepping down. The Democratic party is being divided. Also, Hillary and Bill have been making statements that her or John McCain should be the only ones running for President. I think that is throwing her political party through the dumps. It sounds like a subliminal message that if I am not the candidate then vote for John McCain.

“ I would have left that church!. He would not have been my pastor! You don’t choose your family, but you can choose what church you want to attend”.

To paraphrase that statement, “You don’t choose your family, but you can choose what husbands you want to stay with”!.

Senator Clinton chose to stay with her husband, in spite of the fact that she did not condone or agree with the awful things he was doing, did and said! Inspire of the Paula, Flowers, or Monica, she chose to stand by her man! She did not leave him, EVEN after he disgraced her, himself, and her daughter - she has continued to stay with him for all of these years! She did not “Throw Him under the Bus!

Senator Obama has made it perfectly clear that he doesn’t agree with some of the rhetoric expounded by Reverend Wright, but is he supposed to be held to a different standard? Just as one’s spouse didn’t cheat for the majority of a marriage, I’m sure that Reverend Wright did not give the same sermon every Sunday!

Someone once said “Even though I do not agree with what a man may say, but I defend to the death his right to say it”

If a lack of sleep causes Mrs. Clinton memory to fail, I know who I do not want answering the phone at 3am.

The Boznia flap is not what we want to hear is correct. So why tell tales about it?

Comment by Susan

What a shame that Senator Clinton embellished her Bosnia story. She has had a lot of international travel and met with many foreign leaders. She didn’t need to add anything to her story.

Comment by larry giwa-osagie

She is so desperate to win at all cost, even when the people wants a change. When it comes to her lies, “that is not what people talk to me about” and when it comes to Obama (guilty by association), you want to revisit it, even when he has addressed it and the media has disected it (done so much in-justice to the pastors’ sermon) Oh! Hilary Clinton, give me a break.

Comment by Carrie

Yeay! Stay in the race, Hillary. I’d rather have you than Obama any day!

Comment by Nancy

Don’t give up Hillary! YOU are the “change” I will vote for!

Comment by David Flodquist

I really don’t think Senator Clinton knows how many supporters she has.
We have groups, that when someone make’s a negitive comment, we take it
personal. We know that she is fighting the fight to lead our great country to
what it once was. We support Senator Clinton and my wife are thinking of
going to Washington D.C. to see the Inauguration of Hillary Clinton to President
of the United States.

Comment by Cathy Wall

It would be nice if Clinton would go ahead and drop out, but I truly doubt it. The Clintons are fighters. In which is ashames because, they are tearing up the democratic party. It seems to me if she can’t win she rather see jOHN mCcAIN IN OFFICE, SO THAT LEAVES A QUESTION IS SHE REALLY A DEMOCRATIC or just plain self-centered.. I still have love for the Clintons, because he did do good thing while in office, she needs to realize this just may not be her time.

It’s not about the Democrats winning the election, it’s all about you Hill and Bill, so keep bashing Obama. By the way, many will not admit it but they do go a race looking for a crash. So keep the race going, it’s providing entertainment for millions.

Also, if you send your daughter out on the campaign trail, she needs to be able to answer questions about your credibility. It was not an unfair question. You said you were not a “stand by your man” kind of woman. You claimed that Monicagate was a “vast right wing conspriracy”. Wasn’t your crediblity hurt? Isn’t his relevant in light of your distortions about Bosnia and Northern Ireland?

If the Superdelegate have to vote with the view of people then why we need the superdelegate?
I find out CNN and MSNBC are not fair to Senator Clinton. And now I mostly watch Foxnews.
I always hear about Senator Obama suportor will get angry if Obama is not the Nominee..
I will vote for Republican if Senator Obama is Nominee. I will not trust him at all after I heard
his Pastor speech. I am not a good writer please forgive me.

How many times do we have to catch the Clintons in a lie to call them liars? She knew exactly what she was saying but like Bill she got caught. If she gets the nomination I will vote for McCain as will lots of others.

I cast my vote for Obama back when the contest was about issues. He had a vision of change. Now there is no issue debate, only lies and hatred. Two candidates intent on inflicting wounds not only on each other but on the public. Why, because we love it. Its gory, bloody, watching two fighters inflict the next wound.
Its time to disqualify both candidates before we have “—-gate” issues and calls for impeachment of senators even before the election. Our leaders are that dishonest. Nearly daily there is a headline of misconduct of sex, money or criminal behavior. Yes lying is criminal for our leaders. Maybe they are showing how they can lie to each other to show how they will handle the Putin, Kim Jon il, Ama-Dina Jacket, bin Ladens and other world leading lyres. Yes we love it.

that’s right! ain’t over till its over. every voter has to be heard of and not the media or the pundits decide. its an insult when the media are imposing their unfair and clearly biased opinion upon others especially to those who have yet to vote and decide which candidate is worthy of their vote. look what happened in Texas and Ohio and Rhode Island in which media elite were writing off Senator Clinton, they were WRONG! so i hope it will serve as a reminder that anything can happen in these last primaries and the impossible (as the pundits said) is
