Why is the news saying the people writing in are for Obama....
I don't see that. Most of them are for Clinton... Why should she get out???
Are the Obama people afraid of her??
Obama can only say what he wants the people to hear. He is nothing aside of Clinton.
GO HILLARY

I have not heard one candidate address what to me is the biggest facture affecting the economy. Fuel Prices, You can’t spike the economy with a stimulus package that will in-return do nothing but help us off-set the cost of fuel and add to the record profits of the oil companies. Where is the tax relief on fuel, by now all state and federal fuel should have been suspended. Why can’t anyone see the facts? Prices of everything have gone up due to the cost of transportation (Fuel). To add to the problem we can’t buy anything, because our budgets have been severely tasked. I wish someone would address this. I’m sure it won’t be address by the current administration, hence the record profits of the oil companies.

What they aren't telling you: more regulation is paid for by the consumer, not the business. What's hysterical about this is it was Congress who told the banks to loosen lending standards. So who really is to blame? Vote with your wallet...

Just what we need-more govenment regulations. And more govenment agencies to administer them. Billions spent on administrator's salaries (and sub-administrators, and sub-deputy assistant administrators) and policy development studies, while nothing trickles down to those in need. Why don't the Dems just come right out and say it-vote Communist; we'll take care of all your needs, just turn everything over to us - trust us - we know better than you do... The hubris and arrogance of the know-it-alls in the Democratic party is mind boggling.

What ever happened to Republican small govenment????

....once again, no one mentions gas prices....just what does Obama want to regulate if it isn't the gasoline prices, which is the #1 thing Americans want to hear about. I tend to agree with McCain on his policies regarding the mortgage bailout, but somebody is making alot of money one gallon at a time and no one wants to talk about it! I'd actually be impressed if Obama said he would lower prices at the pump by regulating that industry, versus the mortgage industry where individuals should bear as much of the blame for the decisions they made as the mortgage companies are. Those same people had nothing to do with the raising gas prices.

Thank you McCain for telling the American people the truth....

"There is a tendency for liberals to seek big government programs that sock it to American taxpayers while failing to solve the very real problems we face,” McCain said.

According to Obama's web site and his own speaches he plans on raising taxes to all American's earning over $75k and Hilary put the number at $250k.

Obama will only put this country in a depression.

Mrs. Clinton couldn't manage her own household, are we to trust her with a 2.3 trillion dollar economy? Sen. Obama wants even more regulations and to spend another 10 billion. It's 6 pm on a normal work day. No one is answering to the basic economic need. We simply must spent our own money. Keep the feds out of the housing market. It will take care of itself. Both of these people, if elected, put the federal gov. in our faces even more than they are now. The federal governments main responsibility is to defend this nation. Not babysit it. We can take care of the rest.

Did anyone notice that Obama copied Hillary's economic plan from the 20th of March?

1) Hillary called for a $30 billion fund to help states and localities to fight foreclosure in their communities. [Clinton Campaign Press Release,3/20/08]

One week later, Barack Obama called for an economic stimulus package of $30 billion to provide ‘immediate relief to areas hardest hit by the housing crisis.’[Reuters, 3/27/08]

2) Hillary’s plan introduces idea of ‘second stimulus.’ “That is why Senator Clinton is calling on Congress and the President to pass a second stimulus package. This time around, the primary focus should be on addressing the growing housing crisis. And by investing new, temporary resources in a housing-focused stimulus package, we can avoid the worst fall-out from the current downturn, keep families in their homes and stabilize communities.” [Clinton Campaign Press Release, 3/20/08]

Obama’s plan uses the exact same language: ‘Enact a Second $30 Billion Stimulus Package to Address the Mortgage Crisis, Protect Vulnerable Families and Strengthen the Economy.’ [Obama Plan to restore Confidence in the Markets ,3/27/08]

3) Hillary's plan reiterated her support for increasing unemployment insurance: "While this second stimulus package should focus predominantly on the housing crisis, Congress should also consider temporary measures to help struggling workers like extending unemployment insurance." [Clinton Campaign Press Release ,3/20/08]

Obama's plan includes the same call for increasing unemployment insurance: "Barack Obama believes we must extend and strengthen the Unemployment Insurance (UI) program to address the needs of the long-term unemployed, who currently make up nearly one-fifth of the unemployed and are often older workers who have lost their jobs in manufacturing or other industries and have a difficult time finding new employment." [Obama Plan to restore Confidence in the Markets,3/27/08]

Hillary seems to have the best handle on the economy. I'd like to see congress and the administration pass some legislation soon to help the unemployed get trained. In addition, people on fixed incomes should be able to renew certificates of deposit at the previously higher interest rates. People on fixed incomes should not be penalized by bad debts.

When it comes to any kind of policy why would be listen to Obama. He has zero experience and I wouldn't trust him to run the country. If it's foreign affairs, the economy, health care or education we would be nuts to listen to Obama. Go Hillary!!

Obama is a socialist or maybe communist, even more so than Hillary. He/they will choke the life out of this country, like Kruschef and communism had done to the USSR. They advocate the same policies, I challenge the Obamites to read some history if you don't believe me.

Well, we know whatever the republicans tried has failed beyond the scope of any previous administration. We've never had a more incompetent president when it came to the economy.

Turning the budget surplus into such a huge deficit while leading to a higher percentage of people living in poverty than ever before, middle class people unable to afford gas and mortgages, and now finally rich people with crashing stock portfolios: obviously doing the opposite of whatver the current fiscally irresponsible administation can only help.

At least we know Obama wouldn't continue mortgaging our grandchildrens future with gross deficit spending like Bush has. It's scary to hear that McCain doesn't plan to make any changes, the people of America cannot take another four years of this type of economic idiocy.

Don't spend more than you take in. That's how I have to budget, too bad current republicans don't understand that basic math. If we need more regulations to ensure that, then I guess that's what we need. Staying on this course is staying on a course of horror and folly.

It figures, grow government. That's all they talk about, more government control, centralized distribution (health care), higher taxes. People don't understand, that the more control you give to the government the less individuals have.

Two simple questions for Hillarobama:

Whose money is it that you're throwing around as if there's no end to the supply?

Who died and left you in charge of OTHER PEOPLE'S money?

Why is it that when we have a crisis that the Dems want to throw money at it? If they really are going to do the change that they say they are going to do then reduce the gov. The gov bloated and needs to go on a major diet. They will never really change anything if they keep increasing what we already have. These fat cats in Wash. DC need to be fired and with all of the wonderful experience that they have received during their time in the gov. they could start their own business and employ the people that they said they want to help. You can't have change if it is more of the same. I do like Mcain's hands off approach. The people that got in on the variable rate had 5 years to get their act together so they could refinance and they didn't. Then you have the folks with the 2nd home. Why should I have to go with out so that these folks can tell the rest of the world that they are a victim. Personal responsibility is a hard lesson to learn.

Obama is the worst canidate I have seen in years! If we keep baling out companies and indiviuals, how are we going to change behavior for the future? Obama has sooo many big government ideas he is going to have to do a lot more than end the war in Iraq and end the Bush tax cut to make it happen. Yikes!
