Obama’s Law School Comes to His Defense, States He Was a Bona Fide Professor
The law school where Barack Obama once taught is coming to his defense after Hillary Clinton’s campaign accused him of embellishing his record at the university and falsely claiming he was a law professor.
The University of Chicago Law School posted a brief explanation on its Web site, saying Obama served as a “professor” there, first as a lecturer from 1992 to 1996, and then as a “senior lecturer” from 1996 to 2004, “during which time he taught three courses per year.”
Though the Clinton campaign argued that lecturers aren’t the same as professors since they don’t have tenure, the law school differed.
“Senior Lecturers are considered to be members of the Law School faculty and are regarded as professors, although not full-time or tenure-track,” the university statement said.
The school piped up after Clinton’s campaign circulated a statement Tuesday detailing what it alleged was a pattern of Obama embellishments and mis-statements. The campaign memo came as Clinton was facing sharp criticism that she embellished when she said she landed under sniper fire during a goodwill trip to Bosnia in 1996.
“Once again, the Obama campaign is getting caught saying one thing while doing another,” the Clinton memo said, citing 10 examples of alleged mis-statements. The first bullet point, citing an article in the Chicago Sun-Times, said: “Sen. Obama consistently and falsely claims that he was a law professor.”
The university statement said Obama was not full-time but was offered that status several times over 12 years, and he declined.

In fact she is helping Obama by perpetually telling lies about others to cover her own big lies.
All her counter allegations are falling flat because her entire campaigning looks to be based on flimsy grounds as she feels all the work would ve to be done y bill and she will keep on cooking up international stories.

He said for 20 years he sat in a church and never heard his preacher make racist remarks and then he retracts that and admits he did. Then he uses his “White” grandmother to get out of his lie.

Obama seems to omit a lot of correct information. He states the Rev at his church made ONE bad speech. I would disagree on that. Rev Wright made many speeches against whites and America! This church that Obama has belonged to for over 20 years had a choice to either follow Rev Martin Luther King, Jr ( the peaceful way).. or to follow Malcolm X ( the hatred way). It chose to follow Malcolm X. So Obama, Oprah and all the rest of them are lying to AMERICA. They actually HATE whites, Italians, Jews, ANYONE who is NOT BLACK! America does not need a President in office who has such hatred for the majority of America!
I love how everyone mentions that Obama must be a racist because his ex-pastor of 20 years used his 1st amendment right to free speech. These Obama haters then say Hillary is now their candidate of choice, totally forgetting that she has been influenced by Bill through their marriage. Bill, the same person who swore under oath to the American people that “I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky.” By the commenters’ own logic, we all must assume Hillary to be a liar due to Bill. Guilt by association with no jury or judge. The problem in America is that every single person thinks their view is the right one and everyone else is just too stupid to see the light. They use statistics and the internet to find news to backup their already held beliefs, not objectively shape their opinions. Obama didn’t choose the rules for the MI and FL primaries, he didn’t disenfranchise the voters. Obama didn’t choose the caucus system that he dominates. These have been rules for years and no one had problems with the voting system until now. Obama was a professor at UofC by the university’s own assertions and people are trying to discredit that. Look, the University says that anyone that is a lecturer is a professor, just not necessarily tenured. That holds true for anyone, not just Obama. Obama superdelegates asked for Hillary to step down early. How is that any different from Hillary asking Obama to end the race early by offering him the VP slot? I feel disenfranchised by Americans because by these comment boards I can see we are highly uneducated and sheeple. If someone mentions that they’ll vote for McCain b/c their nominee didn’t get the chance to run then I will hold you personably responsible when we are in Iraq for “100 years.” You were never truly democrats and you don’t deserve the party anyways. There’s always Nader, who might not win but he opposes the war if that is truly your #1 issue.
EJ said “OKay you Clinton haters - we get it - you don’t like her - enough already”. Although I detest Hillary, I am beginning to feel sorry for her. She is being treated exactly the way Bush is treated. There have been so many lies about Bush that the media has thrown out so as to turn America against the Bush administration. Now this very thing is happening to Clinton. The Democratic Party is in big, big trouble. Obama’s experience as a lecturer is sufficient for me to say that he didn’t embellish his experience there. Obama has been shown, however, to be a bigot. America should question whether or not he is a good candidate. Both candidates are an embarrassment to their party and our nation.
Obama is just as big as liar as Hilary. It just a matter of which liar you want. For me I rather see Hilary than a racist. Someone like Obama will never be able to unite America, to many people see him for what he really is.
Another Clinton mis-statement. Once again though her best defense for an outright lie is to say he is as bad as I am.
EJ, give it up. It is one of his accomplishments; he said so and the school just backed him up. I have taken courses in law school with professors that were not full time also, usually because they were practicing law in a firm during the day. It does not make them any less of a professor. It is just obvious that no matter what anyone says, you are out to just destroy this man, by YOUR OWN LIES. You need to check yourself. And not only did he teach there, University of Chicago is one of the best law schools in the country. It is in the top 5.
