Obama's words mean absolutely nothing, as Obama has duped the American public. As usual, Senator McCain is the ultimate gentleman who has set the example and a high standard of dignity in this campaign.

Hopefully McCain will see by this how underhanded Obama is and quit trying to be so fair. Obama will throw any dirt he can, either by his own mouth, his campaign or through others such as this. Obama is the first one to cry foul if something is said against him that even hints as a smear but arrogantly expects he is untouchable should it be his camp or a spokesperson introducing him. I would love to see all the information so readily available about Obama spoken of or printed by the media. He may talk nice but pages could be filled about the sleaziness of this man. Also, I would like someone to start asking some serious questions and demand answers, not spin or changing of the subject. How about, Obama, are you in favor of slave reparations???? Insist on an answer, yes or no! And if yes, what would you like to see happen? Why doesn't the media get an answer to this questions. I know there are many like myself who want to know, now, not after this man becomes nominated.

Up to now this war has been waged on the back of our military and their families.
For the rest of us the only sacrifice might be paying a little more at the gas pump.
Let's see how long we are willing to pay for this war in November: lost jobs, recession, inflation, foreclosures, as well as a huge national debt that will pin all of us under its weight.
Good luck, Remember the aftermath of another bogus war: Vietnam.
Thank you for this opportunity for promoting critical thinking.

Are you telling me that if Sen.Obama were presented the facts about going to war in the same way everyone else was -he would have voted against the war???

The reason we went to war may not be what we were told but the reason we stay has been very clear.

I for one would rather this war be fought over there and NOT HERE!

My vote is for our freedom and believe me that is what we are fighting for. I have 2 nephews fighting in Iraq and they understand why we are there-DO YOU?
WAKE UP PEOPLE BEFORE IT IS TO LATE!

So, McCain makes no secret that he supports his country in Iraq or Afghanistan. Mr. Obama has stated that he (Obama) would send troops into Pakistan after bin laden, a country that does not want our troops there. Guess that makes Obama a warmonger, too.

uhh, what more does McCain want? maybe he is getting a little out of touch with reality after all...

Democrats are good at accusing those they don't agree with "liars." I love the comment by the guy who claims that inner city intellectuals make "America shine." Its the hard working Americans who make this country shine, not the sophisticates who love the poor so much....except when the poor move to their nieghborhoods

GO HILLARY !!!

This would be OK - IF obama had not made himeself the candidate of "Change" - he was going to run a good campaign - not go negative - NOT!
This is is way of doing the bad stuff - he himself does not say anything negative - but - has his supporters do it while he just stands there - just like in the church for 20 years well..

YOUR SILENCE IMPLIES APPROVAL!!!!!

This is indeed a historic election. What a great time to be alive and an American. With that said, we do, however, live in troubled times. Today we are in real danger of bringing up an generation of Americans who will be worse off economically than their parents. So much so that over 80% of Americans think the country is on the wrong track. We are also coming off of a period of 20 years of trench warfare politics, the Clinton-Bush era. Coincidence, I think not. We as Americans have endured two decades of heavy handed campaining and endless spin, on both sides, as the Presidency and Congress has switched hands twice, but with neither side gaining any real power. All of this on promises that never get fulfilled and problems that never get solved. And now there is the possibility of extending this era four or even eight years, so that by the time this is over hardly anyone under thirty will have ever lived in a time when there was not a Bush or a Clinton in the White House. We can do better. The people of Pennsylvania have the glorious opportunity to stop this and say NO MORE.

I intend to vote for Ron Paul when the primary comes my way because I agree with him on more issues than I do any of the other candidates. I will vote for John McCain inthe general election because regardless of who wins the Democratic primary, that level of liberalism will never be good for our country, especialy economically. That, and John McCain is the kind of leader our country really needs right now, someone of substance and character, and as a veteran myself I am partial to those who have served their country, especially those who have so honorably as John McCain. Be that as it may, even if the next president is Barack Obama, and not Hillary Clinton, then the sign should read: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

To JSmith:

You don't know what a war monger is. Besides, coward, you've never served in the military of your country. (assuming it is the United States of America.) Just one hour in the cage that Senator McCain spent 5 years would be too much for you. If the Spade that you referred to does become President, you will deserve the world you voted for.

Please the believe the media garbage that the majority of Obama's voters are true intellectuals. Intelligence is not based on collegiate experience, that is merely a formality for career advancement. If the population was smart, they definitely would not invest their thoughts, hopes, and dreams on speeches alone.

No media outlet had the heart or fortitude to investigate Obama's questionable background and records. This is not about sensational news, but getting to the truth. If you consider yourself a true intellect, you would be open to hear all sides and based an informed decision. The media has been controlling your thoughts, dreams, and desires for far too long.

Intellectuals. LMAO

I find it interesting that Obama fans really don't know much about their candidate at all. As witnessed in the responses to this particular article, many who support Obama not only don't fully understand McCain's position, they don't understand Obama's either. Perhaps it's because Obama has taken so many positions, whereas John McCain has been completly consistent

"I began to suspect, that I might have been wrong.”
Barrack Obama (The Audacity of Hope, 2006)

“There’s not that much difference between my position and George Bush’s position at this stage.”
Barrack Obama (Chicago Times, 2004)

In Sep 2004 Obama told the Associated Press that even though Bush had “bungled his handling of the war,” simply pulling out of Iraq “would make things worse.” He also stated that he would be in support of sending more troops if it would stabilize Iraq.... (which is exactly the position that "Warmonger" McCain has advocated from the beginning.)

In November 2004 Obama told Charlie Rose on PBS:

“Once we go in, then we’re committed.” (This is McCains position too)

AND

"Once the decision was made, then we’ve got to do everything we can to stabilize the country, to make it successful, because we’ll have too much at stake in the Middle East. And that’s the position that I continue to take." (This is McCains position too)

So, as evidenced by these (and other statements), Obama is as much a "warmongerer" as McCain. The difference is, even though you may not agree with McCain, his position is and has been consistent and logical. What cannot be explained, even by Obama, is why someone who claims to have opposed the war from the beginning would make statements such as those above when the war was going well.
