Pennsylvania House Candidate Charged With Burglary
CLEARFIELD, Pa. — A candidate for Congress in Pennsylvania has been charged with felony burglary and criminal trespass.
Charges were filed Thursday against Derek Walker, one of 12 candidates running to replace retiring Rep. John Peterson. They stem from an August 2007 encounter at his ex-girlfriend’s apartment.
A criminal complaint says Walker walked in on the woman with another man and told his ex-girlfriend he was taking a video with his cell phone camera.
Messages left for the Republican and his campaign spokesman were not immediately returned. The charges were filed five days before the Pennsylvania primary.
Walker is a financial planner from Clearfield.
