McCain Camp Uses Obama’s Hamas Compliment as Fundraising Fuel
John McCain’s campaign is seizing on a Hamas adviser’s recent “endorsement” of Barack Obama, trying to suggest that the Democratic front-runner brought the unsavory praise on himself.
In a fund-raising letter sent out Friday, the McCain campaign excerpted the words of Hamas political adviser Ahmed Yousef, who in an interview Sunday with WABC radio and WorldNetDaily said the terrorist group supports Obama’s foreign policy vision.
“Barack Obama’s foreign policy plans have even won him praise from Hamas leaders,” the McCain letter says. “We need change in America, but not the kind of change that wins kind words from Hamas, surrenders in Iraq and will hold unconditional talks with Iranian President Ahmadinejad.”
Yousef said in the interview: “We don’t mind — actually we like Mr. Obama. We hope he will [win] the election and I do believe he is like John Kennedy, great man with great principle, and he has a vision to change America to make it in a position to lead the world community but not with domination and arrogance.”
The McCain fund-raising letter also said Obama has “refused to condemn” former President Jimmy Carter for holding talks with Hamas leaders.
Obama, while not condemning Carter, has criticized the ex-president’s decision to meet with Hamas. On Wednesday night he told a group of Jewish leaders that “Hamas is not a state; Hamas is a terrorist organization.”
“We must not negotiate with a terrorist group intent on Israel’s destruction,” Obama said. “We should only sit down with Hamas if they renounce terrorism, recognize Israel’s right to exist and abide by past agreements.”

One of the guidelines I’ve been going by in the last seven years or so is to ask myself what candidate for any U.S. political office would terrorists and terrorist groups (like Hamas) would like to see holding that position. This confirms my intuition to be spot on.
Well that was interesting…if I have this right…
According to the newly enlightened Obama, Hamas is “bad” and a “terrorist organization” when he speaks to Jewish groups…because Hamas wants Israel wiped out.
But, Obama will hold unconditional talks with the Iranian President, who also wants to wipe out Israel…and Nuke America. That seems a bit odd!
I suspect the only sane way of dealing with that nut ball in Iran is to demand his unconditional surrender before we turn his country into a large sand parking lot. Holding unconditional talks with a man who is proven to be responsible for the death and maiming of US and coalition troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the terror bombing of civilians in Iraq…is totally beyond the pale of reality.
My estimate - about 75 to 95% of the world population would endorse Obama over McCain. Does that mean, we should support McCain? Or, Obama?
Hamas endorsement, Farrakhan endorsement, Wright Anti- White endorsement, Weather’s Endorsement, Syrian trips by his campaign people, MoveOn .Org. All great endorsements for someone who wants to Change Americans way of life. Tax us to the extent that we all have to rely on the govt just like in third world countries. Obama is young and influential speaker but he doesn’t have Americans best interest in mind like he says. He definately is no John F Kennedy by any means and its appalling that he tries to compare himself to him. The only problem Kennedy had was his brother Ted.
Amazing.
So this is how senator McCain keeps his promise on running an honorable campaign? So by criticizing the remark is McCain stating he will lead the world by arrogance and domination? I am sure that his fund raising letter will bring in much cash as many will listen to the logic of the comment and wrapped themselves up in fear. Fear seems to be the of the republican soul.
Yousef said in the interview: “We don’t mind — actually we like Mr. Obama. We hope he will [win] the election and I do believe he is like John Kennedy, great man with great principle, and he has a vision to change America to make it in a position to lead the world community but not with domination and arrogance.”
PS. To all religious conservatives. Remember Jesus met with sinners. THIS IS IN NO WAY COMPARING OBAMA TO JESUS, but it shows an example we may want to follow under the right conditions.
If Obama wins do we invite Hamas to America? Mabe they can whip us into shape and purify our souls.
If Hillary wins will Hamas will not be believe a word she says?
Where do we go from here? Should I start sewing my clothes to cover every in of my sinful body?
The McCain camp better toughen up. They are acting like a bunch of women at tea. The tea days are long over! We can’t allow the Dems to win this election the future of my grandchildren & our countyr is at stake.
