First Daughter Jenna Bush Isn’t Sure She’ll Vote for John McCain

Border

First daughter Jenna Bush isn’t as committed to Republican candidate John McCain as her parents are, who are firmly behind the party’s expected presidential nominee.

Jenna Bush told CNN’s Larry King that she is open to learning about all the candidates — including the Democrats.

King asked Jenna Bush and her mother, Laura Bush, who appeared with her, whether they had a favorite between Democratic candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

“My favorite is the Republican,” said Laura Bush.

Her daughter wasn’t as sure.

“I don’t know,” Jenna Bush said. “I mean, who isn’t open to learning about the candidates? But, I mean, and I’m sure everybody is like that. But I really — I honestly have been too busy with books to really pay that much attention.”

The Bushes appeared on King’s talk show to promote their new book, “Read All About It.”

Once bitter primary rivals themselves, President Bush supports McCain’s bid to succeed him.

Separately, the first lady said she doesn’t like the way the Democratic candidates talk about her husband.

“He takes a huge pounding from the other candidates, not all of them, not my candidate, John McCain, but I think that is — that’s demoralizing to me,” Laura Bush said.

Jenna Bush is like quite a few young adults. They want to be informed and after feeling like they have all the information needed to make an educated decision, they make it. Be thankful our young adults are taking the time to care and get involved. Good for Jenna.

I know what mean Mrs. Bush. God Bless you and your husband. Very difficult job but under the circumstances I know he does only what he thinks is in the best interest of All Americans. Try not to listen to the worthless media and the far left. They do not speak for me and many others. Ater all socialism and marxism ideas are hateful to America.

Jenna Bush is a smart woman and is learning all she can about all the candidates and is free to support the candidate of her choice. As a Republican I can understand why she is not jumping to support of McCain. Although a Republican, Senator McCain is way to liberal but I do choose to support the party. Maybe she will make her decision that way too. At any rate as a private citizen Jenna Bush is not obligated to tell anyone anything about her choice.

Jenna’s right, you can’t really choose in this race. The candidates aren’t the best we’ve seen in the last few elections.

And how exactly would that make a difference.

It doesn’t matter who she intendeds to vote for. Who ever getts in will not accomplish anything. If Hillary (God forbid) or Obama win the election, the republicans will fillabuster and block everything they try to do. Same goes for if McCain win, the dems will do the same thing. That ok though b/c we, as a nation, already have too much legislation on the federal level. We need more power to states, they way we were originally supposed to work.

And anybody really cares what Jenna Bush thinks? But I guess I bit and read the story. That was the whole point after all. Right?

I just can’t vote for a Democrat because I agree with the beliefs of the Republican party. Democrats never have the same beliefs…they are like the wind…always changing.

So, even if I don’t personally like McCain, I will vote for him. If he is the representative of my party, I will trust that, because I cannot go against my own self and vote in a way that is not me. I pray that McCain will come up with a running mate that is better than him. I would like to see Ms. Rice in that position, if she would accept it. I know she is a very intelligent, highly qualified person for the job.

That said, I could never vote for either of the current Democratic runners…they are both unstable, unbelievable, and scary. They have no idea what they are standing for or against, only that there will be “change”…what kind of change? How can that be a standard of excellence upon which one would choose the President of the United States? This is the craziest election year I have ever experienced.

I wish with all my heart that dear George W could have another term!

Oh, this is precious. This is the reason so many young people are voting for Obama, they are clueless about politics! I love this article. If he wins the Democratic nomination I will most definitely vote for McCain. As an independent, Obama will divide our nation, far too left.

The Daughter of President Nixon is supporting Obama. The son of President Reagan is supporting Obama. Why shouldn’t the daughter of President Bush exercise her own judgment to vote for Obama too?
