Obama Countdown Clock Set to Ring With Appearance This Week on ‘FOX News Sunday’
Barack Obama has abandoned his more than two-year silent treatment toward “FOX News Sunday,” accepting an invitation to appear this week on the national morning talk show.
The Democratic presidential candidate’s appearance will end a 772-day record of refusing to sit down for an interview.
FOX News Sunday host Chris Wallace said the decision to launch a “count-up” clock may have helped encourage Obama’s decision to be a guest.
“We started the clock a month ago at 730 days. This Sunday it will be up to 772 days and the conversation about Obama coming on got a lot more serious after we started the count down, or the count up,” Wallace said.
He added that an Obama campaign aide had called the clock “obnoxious” when it first aired on March 16, 2008.
“It may have been obnoxious but it was also effective,” Wallace said.
Last Sunday, the Obama clock was past 765 days, 13 hours, 54 min and 47 seconds by the end of the show. Since then, Obama lost the Pennsylvania primary to Hillary Clinton by 10 points, the first primary to be held since the clock aired. The two candidates face off next in North Carolina and Indiana on May 6.
Wallace said if Obama had won Pennsylvania, he may not have accepted the invitation.
“If he had won he’d probably on a Caribbean island this weekend. The fact that he’s going to be on Sunday television and on FOX News may be an indication he figures he has to reach out to working-class Democrats, moderates and conservative Democrats and FOX News is a good place to do it,” he said.
Clinton last appeared on “FOX News Sunday” on Feb. 3. Obama will pre-tape his appearance on Saturday from Marion, Ind., to appear on local FOX affiliate stations on Sunday morning. “FOX News Sunday” airs on FOX News Channel at 2 p.m. ET Sundays.

What about all the people Obama’s united in the 30 states he’s won? Wait…let me guess, that doesn’t count. As far as Obama not appearing on Fox, If he had not won 30 states, and wasn’t on the brink of winning the democratic nomination, Fox would have probably completely ignored his candidacy. Secondly, if Fox News was actually what it claims to be…”fair and balanced”, I’m sure he would have been on a long time ago. Just because you say it every other line, doesn’t make it true.
Obviously Obama didn’t want to talk to Fox until he thought it might help him. I wish you wouldn’t even invite him on at this point. Well, I’ll be in church when he comes on and it’s where he should on Sunday morning (in a good Christian church that teaches and preaches the love of our saviour Jesus Christ and not the fouled mouth chuch he’s been attending). May God the Father of Jesus have mercy on Obama’s soul (and his foul mouthed preacher).

I Would like to know, did he ever contact or go to see her after he left her. Is she still living? Who paid for his expensive education.
Go hard on him Fox those people asking for a soft tough on him don’t have confidence in him. Hillary can take any punch you or any one else wants to throw at her.
Whatever happened with Marc Rich - Does he still live in Sweden, did he ever settle his debt with the IRS? How active is his spouse in Hillary’s campaign? Is the Rich family a large donor to the Clinton Library? Isn’t this much more newsworthy than non stop days of reporting about Preachers, neighbors or acquaintances?
I would suggest there are many community organizer that know characters that wouldn’t fit into to the new “politically correct” friend or social acquaintance order being created. Most local service organizers I know have to get something done, don’t have the taxpayers checkbook to finance what they need, and are always in desperate need of volunteers.

To appear on FOX, where Obama knows he’ll be bashed rather than allowed to speak policy takes a lot of will and required many months of planning so no, I don’t believe he is doing it only after PA loss but because he’s smarter than that and it will be very well orchestrated as you will see. Oh, and with Hillary having +20% lead in PA a few weeks ago, I would not consider that a loss as he is still way ahead in all national polls, against Clinton and McCain and will continue to push away as all the intentional smear tactics by his opposition subside.
This is in response to Christine Barnes. She posted something that just stands logic and reality on its head with this; “Hilary can’t get the black vote, she got 8% in PA but no one said anything, what if Obama only got 8% of the white vote, different headline eh”
Oh yes, Christine, there would have been a vastly different headline. Nearly every one of our left dominated media outlets would have headlined “WHITE RACISM”. They would have had a feeding frenzy writing an analysis of why racism dominates how white people vote in America.
Funny, but I’ve yet to see one word printed or spoken about racism when over 90% of Blacks regularly vote for the one Black candidate, simply because he is black.
The point to remember in Pennsylvania is that Hillary would have swamped Obama if the Black vote had not been so racist. Obama would have been weeded out months ago if the Black vote had not been so racist in all the other states.
