Cindy Gia hit the nail on the head. Every four years, Democrats shamefully exploit the eldery by trying to scare them into believing their Social Security payments will stop in January if a Republican is elected in November. As someone once sang, "It took a while, but I'm finally over you." Time for Americans to get over this crude tactic.

The DCN says they will pull out of Iraq because they are listening to the people. My problem is, they will listen to the people even though the people do not get the intell,or see first hand how the situation really is in Iraq, But they will not listen to the top general in Iraq, who has had years of experiance and training, who does have the intell, and has seen it first hand.

It is my belief that military service should become a prerequisite to becoming President of the United States. Neither Clinton nor Obama have the true leadership experience required to make tough decisions with the lives of our service members. I would even go so far as to suggest that they "put their money where their mouths are" and spend 30 full days in the red zone in Iraq embedded with troops. The only problem would be that some field unit would have the displeasure of babysitting them. You can test the true mettle of a man/woman by their perfomance under fire. I think John McCain acted quite admirably during his trials. He will be an excellent president.

I think Barrack Obama is entirely correct. Politically correct terminology does not really matter much. For all of you narrow minded, programmed fools who know nothing except what you are told and what you think you know, you probably know less than nothing. Senator Obamas scholastic record is much better than President Bushs,,,,Senator Obama has the educational savy,,,,,leadership qualities....and moral backbone to stand up to the establishment. That in itself says more than all of you Washington aristocrats and bureaucrats know about or seemingly have conveniently forgotten. Theres only one thing for sure: if John McCain or Hilary Clinton is elected President we will be in more trouble around the world and economically than you could ever imagine. Look at the big picture and that way if the unthinkable happens, i.e., Senator Obams is not elected President, then you will know you certainly slammed the door on your on prosperity and country.

I'm a lifelong Republican, but after I learned McCain wants to keep us in Iraq another 100 years, I'm switching my support to Obama. I can't vote for Hillary because she insulted the military by pretending to dodge sniper-fire.

Here we go again. Dean and Obama, both leftist radicals, make mistatements about Iraq and the economy. Apparently, both want another Viet Nam. They both have a warped sense of reaality. To bail from Iraq before the Iraqi Government can stand on its own is pure insanity, inviting insurgent attacks on American intrests. I never want to see another President that has not served in the military. Obama is simp[ly NOT QUALIFIED to run the military or the USA. Furthermore, Democratic tax and spend policy will ruin America. Democratic socialist policies dimply cannot work. Americans are already on the brink of poverty because of the escalation of fuel prices. The economy is in trouble primarily because fuel prices are driving the transportation industry into bankruptcy. Higher travel fares are resulting massive cutbacks in business travel, not to mention summer travel which generates revenue in so many places. We are being told by experts that gas prices will increase, not decline - possibly forever. Who in their right mind wants a tax and spend liberal radical in the White House. Obama doesn't have the spine to stand up for American interests. My belief: Drop him like a hot rock. McCain should mop the floor with him in November.

Eric-
Please let me know how the republicans have ruined our future. What evidence do you have to back this fallacy up? You made a statement with no truth or facts, this is not a time to demean or degrade. This is a time to look at both sides with an open mind and decide for you what are complete fallacies and what is not. You alone know what is best for you. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, however back it up.

I am a lifelong Democrat and am not eager to vote for McCain for President, though I have the greatest admiration for the honorable and courageous way he served his country. However, if the Democrats leave me to choose between McCain and Obama in the general election, I will choose McCain for one reason and one reason only. McCain has more substantive experience to run this country. Obama has nothing close to the experience, perspective, insight, or grasp of world issues needed to be President of the United States. If only Obama's ego hadn't been greater than his wisdom. He would have most certainly been President someday. Now, if he's the nominee, he runs the very high risk of effectively ending his political career at age 46 in a significant loss to McCain this November. Thanks for nothing Obama and DNC!

OK Mr. Obama... You don't even know the proper terms. The President/Commander-in-Chief sets POLICY. The Combatant Commander (CENTCOM Commander) makes the Strategic Decisions based on that policy. Tactical operatations and decisions are made at the Corps-level and below.

You do not have the experience or knowledge base to be the President.

Why is the WHOLE TRUTH never given? McCain voted against Bush's tax cuts BECAUSE HE THOUGHT HE HAD A BETTER PLAN THAT WENT FURTHER THAN BUSH'S. When Bush's plan was approved, his own plan was no longer an issue, so he supported Bush's. What is so hard to understand about that? I am so sick of half-facts. McCain's "100 yr." comment is also totally mangled. Anyone that has the brain to think knows what he meant by that. As far as Obama goes, WAKE UP AMERICA! Not only is he totally ignorant, I would truly question his loyalty to the United States. Look at the facts with an open mind. Be HONEST in evaluating Obama, Clinton, and McCain. If you are, and you honestly want what our founding fathers meant for our country to be, you will see that McCain is the best choice. If you want God to be removed from our country, terrorists to gain a foothold in the U.S., communism to flourish in our country, abortion(murder) on demand, vote Clinton or Obama. We will get just what we ask for, and we will answer for our choices.

Obama keeps saying he doesn't want to get into the "Old Washington politics" but yet he runs a smear campaign against McCain. This guy is a joke. Every bit of dirt that comes up, he gives the same disassociation speech. It frightens me that someone so unfit to be President can get this close to a nomination.

I don't know about the general public's opinion but I am tired of the mud-slinging and the "out of context" excuses and remarks. Mud-slinging is mud-slinging and remarks of hatered have no place in this world. It's he said this and he said that. What are we two years old?
The United States economy is the most complex economy systems in the world. I do believe that Obama does not clearly understand the economy and that it is more than just one person that controls the economy. It is not just the government, it is households and firms as well.
I also feel that both candiates are not looking at what can happen into the future. They are not thinking of the consequences that could happen if taxes are raised. In order to efficently run and tackle tough issues, both candidated need to inform the general public. I think that some of the candidates rely on the stupidity of some of the American people. This in my opinion is sad and degreating to U.S citizens as a whole. I am asking this from each candidate. Please be truthful and honest with us, you work for us, we do not work foryou.

Oh, now THIS is good...McCain is saying Obama doesn't know economics???

Didn't McCain flat-out tell everyone a few weeks back that he doesn't know much about it, and considers it one of his weaknesses?

How does THAT not scare people? McCain not knowing a thing about the economy could put us in a situation far, FAR worse than anything Obama could ever do.

Think about THAT for a minute.

Immediate withdrawal of troops from Iraq! It sounds unserious and rediculous and proves the Obama's inability to police the world. It would be just providing the Al-Quaeda nests of Afghannstan, Pakstan, Somalia, e.t.c a training ground.
