Indianapolis Star Endorses Clinton

The Indianapolis Star endorsed Sen. Hillary Clinton for president Friday just four days before the Democratic primary in Indiana, praising her “years of high-level experience” as a senator, which have left her “well prepared for the rigors of the White House.”

Editors at the Star, who called Clinton “tough, experienced and realistic,” contrasted her with her opponent, Sen. Barack Obama, whose “inexperience in high office is a liability,” they wrote.

“Clinton offers a clear-eyed view of the way things are,” they wrote. “Her depth of knowledge is remarkable.”

The endorsement from the Star, the largest newspaper in Indiana, could be a boon for Clinton, who already leads in polling ahead of Tuesday’s primary.

A RealClearPolitics average of polls released Thursday shows Clinton with a 6 percent lead in Indiana. Clinton has been gaining momentum since her victory in the Pennsylvania primary April 22, which she won by nearly 10 percent.

Good endorsement to pick up. The race is tight and Hillary will need all the support that comes her way to stall superdelegates from backing Obama. As an American and voter I’m concerned about the Peter Paul vs Clinton case in court, where it alledges the campaign funds solicited or accepten in an illegal way. I know it has not hit the news, but what will happen if McCain and the republican party decide to pick this up for November? Where the democratic party be hurt?

Come on Indiana voters! Vote for Clinton for the rest of us who had to vote before we learned about his 20 year relationship with Wright. I was smart enough to see through him and voted Hillary and Missouri would have gone for Hillary if we would have known about Wright. It was a very close race here and if we could do it again he would lose!! I’m sure that’s true in many states. The Democrats have NO chance in the general election with Obama. I sell in 3 states and everyone is really angry about the deception we have experienced.

This nomination contest will be over after Tuesday. Enough with the Clinton fairy tale.

Spousal presidencies…give me a break. This isn’t Taiwan.

Thank you Indiana Star. Hillary is extremely knowledgable and actually addresses the issues and knows how to solve them. Barrack Obama can only talk about change
(what kind of change). How can a man who can stay in a church for 20 years with a raving maniac preacher) make good judgements. On NBC last night Ms. Viera did everything except diaper and fix him a bottle.
